The Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal, PEPT has dismissed the petition by Atiku Abubakar and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP challenging the election of President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The students of the Federal University Of Oye Ekiti on Tuesday evening allegedly attacked Ekiti State First Lady, Erelu Bisi Fayemi’s convoy on her return from a tour of some local government.

The protest embarked upon by students turned violent on Tuesday evening leaving in its trails vandalisation of properties.

Sources at Oye Ekiti alleged that no fewer than two persons were feared killed in the course of the protest.

A panel set up by the Defence Headquarters to investigate the killing of three policemen and a civilian by soldiers in Taraba state has arrested two policemen.

Daily Trust reports that the two policemen working at Ibi police division “were arrested for allegedly leaking information to suspected kidnap kingpin Hamisu Wadume of plans to arrest him”.
