Only a few general hospitals in Nigeria are equipped for emergency surgeries especially during call hours which is after official working hours. This might be due to shortage of theatre staff.
However, I do not believe that they would have told a woman in labour to wait for two days before CS could be done. They probably stated that they do not do CS on that day of the week and were not equipped for emergency CS.
Either way, it is not fair to hastily pass judgement and insult medical practitioners and hospitals without hearing the other side of the story.
Many healthworkers work under bottleneck conditions to save people's lives and I am one of those. It's true that there are some bad eggs which is not unique to only the medical profession but the ones that are breaking their backs saving lives are not even getting encouraged.
We should all not forget that each and everyone of our various professions have to do with saving lives either directly or indirectly. Therefore, we should all check ourselves first to see if we are also harming people's lives in one way or the other.

There are traffic laws. It is the people that are not following them that should be sanctioned. Government cannot be in every car and on every road. Nigerians find it difficult to follow simple rules and regulations but we expect miracles from the government. Not using phones while driving is simply common sense. No one needs to be told.

This kinda comment is one of the problems we have in Nigeria; we keep blaming government for everything. Rules are made to be followed but we want someone to come remind us everyday to not break them. The man in question definitely knows the rule and decided to break it.
