Since you have a degree in economics, I would advice you both write CIMA. There are self study websites four CIMA and it’s an on demand examination.
Only the PA should write CIMA (or any additional degree he/she choose)

This will give extra 33 points (to the PA)

If the husband is the PA (for example) and both of them get an additional degree (be it CIMA or BcS), they are only getting extra 1 point to the 33 points because additional certificate from a spouse only give 1 point on CRS calculate

So the question is: is 1 point really worth the stress, time and money?

Only the PA should sit for the exam

I would suggest the PA go for CIMA, it's easier if you can read. I'm writing one very soon and I have no prior knowledge in accounting

In addition, you can write the CIMA first, the certificate takes about 6-8 weeks to come out, use that period to prepare for IELTS

I’m not on edge, we have a family business we manage... I just feel it might make better sense to give reference from one place than for him to start waiTing for reference letters and statement account from a company he left since 2017 before h went for his masters abroad...I just don’t understand the attack of fraudulent...

.I get the part of being safe than sorry...but I issued work experinice referncr to him the first 2yesr he graduated without a job and the reference request came from zenith which I responded to officially....even though he isn’t officially on the parole..he’s still part owner
I only asked if this could be done that way...I’m just surprised at the strange attacking fraud...it’s a free forum with all manners of people..everyone is free to yarn...
Dear '1stopRudeness',

Need I remind you that nobody is getting paid here to guide people on what to do and what not to do. I understand you stop 'rudeness' but I don't think this is the right forum to do so.

Some of us have gotten free Information we would have paid over a million naira to get from those called agent..

So when the elders here tells us the right thing to do, just take the advise and stop this verbal attack please dear

NB: please don't come for me , I'm ovulating and my hormones are all over the place

Study and write ur IELTS asap while trying to decide on other ways to boost ur CRS score. Your 8777 is an assumption. What if you score higher? What if ITA cut off reduces before the September IT exam?

When I say study for IELTS, I mean give it your best shot. Just be in the pool and then look for other means to boost your score.

As per if you can pass the exam without prior IT knowledge, NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE with determination. PS: if there are other exams asides BCS, take it oh. Forget my motivational speech.
All the best.
Okay. Thanks so much

Can I go ahead and calculate my CRS score when I haven’t sat for IELTS? Because I left that link when they asked for my IELTS score

whether you have used the bsc does not matter. Bsc alone these days self cant give u high scores. The important thing is what is your NOC( occupation). I cant see any gold related one on the list of NOC. Or maybe there is a sales one . Let the gurus help

Thank you so much

ladymarshall:
@bolded is not a problem. You do not have to work in the field you studied to be eligible.

With the high CRS score of 450+ these days, you need to get another certificate/means to boost your score. See page 1 on this under FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS https://www.nairaland.com/5187408/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled#78386492 and here https://www.nairaland.com/5031893/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/246#77138681

Self employed people have gotten PPR, look at the documents this successful applicant submitted here https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/work-experience-education-major-different.412867/

Also look at @Topsmamen response on the self-employed application here https://www.nairaland.com/5031893/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/256#77228254

Your age and marital status is a very good indicator for high CRS score grin
