I've seen when pre market is green but at the end, it becomes red during market hours, also seen where it was red during pre market and reversed to green during market hours.

Good day fellas, October has always been the most volatile month each year, no surprises how last month was for the market. See picture below

BUT November might not be good either given what we all know is coming. The election is not the problem but what comes after, from what ive seen so far, no party is likely going to accept the result easily which won't be good for the market. Investors hate uncertainty

So guys , tomorrow is key if you can't stomach the upcoming uncertainty, better sell and hold or sell and buy the dip.

pls, does anybody know anything about good faith violation in Chaka app?? they said I have committed 3 good faith violation and won't be able to trade for the next 12months. I don't even understand their explanation of what the good faith violation is that I got in my mail. this is really annoying. Apparently I can't use fund that I got from selling a share to immediately buy another company share without waiting for at least 2days for the fund to settle, that I have to deposit new fresh money if I must trade immediately. that if sell a share and use the proceed to immediately buy another company share without waiting 2days, it would means I have committed a good faith violation. I did it about three times. I want to know if this good faith violation thing is also in trove and Bamboo. let me know so I can leave chaka.

Good faith violation is also in bamboo.

A practical example of good faith violation, you buy apple shares worth 1000 dollars, after a period, you sell the apple shares and get 1200, immediately ie same day, you buy Tesla with the 1200, and for some reason you decide you don't want Tesla shares, the fintech are saying that you CAN'T sell the Tesla shares immediately untill after 2 days, if you do, that's a violation

In the past that 1200 you got from selling apple shares won't be available for use until after two days, people complained and the fintech solution was to come up with the good faith violation policy.

But to clarify the Penalty after 3 violations, in bamboo, you will be restricted from trading with Unsettled cash for a period of 90days. You can make deposit and trade, wait for the cash to settle and trade

I was very skeptical about ibom air, but they've prove they have a very good management team. Kudos to them, they are very punctual.

I can relate to your story and it shows lack of plan for the trade set up. Also, your entry point was not good else you would not have bothered much about the swing. Another issue I see in your post is that you are yet to define your investing style; day, positional trader or investor. This you need to do as it will help define your AOV, define maximum loss, hodling period, exit strategy, TP signal and holding period.

Let me share my experience on a particular stock that really frustrated me for 2 month plus. Just for humour.

It was during the 1st Q earnings report season back in April 2020. Various stock were listed here on this thread by our oga for interest and asked DD to be carried out. I picked datadog then, it paid out with 20% single day profit, (post earrings) I was feeling badass pro trader, I was so excited, decided to do another due diligence analysis on another stock, I picked ROKU, hmmm, that's when trouble started. Lol.

I was so confident everything will work out. I bought Roku at 134 per share. After earnings report, the stock fell to 120 (10% down) on a single day. wow, I was like this not possible na, for the next 5 days the stock crashed to 100 per share (25% down) I was seeing double (dizzy).

I was humbled. For the next 1 month the stock was a pain in my stock profile, when the overall market is green, the yeye stock will remain in red. Well One day, the stock rose up again and recovered to 134 only for it to crash back to 100 again. For two whole month, I was in red.

I still kept faith, in the 3rd months, it finally recovered and crossed 134 mark into green, I celebrated o. Within a week, it rose up to 20% green ( feeling like a pro) only for it to crash back to 5% green (arrggghh). I almost gave up but still kept faith because it had good fundamentals and it was a victim of covid 19 on its revenue.

I still have the stock in my profile, I haven't reached my target yet.

What happened yesterday and today might be a first time experience for some of you guys. Days like this happens. I remember how I had fever back in march, I provoke sell all my stocks. For three weeks I didn't want to hear anything like stock market, lol.

I came back, got better, found this thread, learnt new things. Always remember that stocks that have over 500% or 2000% return from their initial price offer didn't have it all smooth over the years.

Like we advice, do what you are comfortable it

it's all panic sell off due to what happened in 2017, where the dollars went as high as 530, it crashed to 365 and never went up till covid 19 came.

If oil crude price per barrel remain stable or keeps going up, will take time before the naira dollar exchange goes back up to as high as 470 to a dollar

Yes I am,

The exchange is getting lower ie naira is getting stronger in parallel market against the dollar.

Bamboo is a reflection of what is happening in the parallel market


CBN announced that they will resume selling dollars to BDCs for them to sell at 386 naira to a dollar. So guys that bought dollars in other to resell for gains are currently rushing to sell off while demand is very low since it will soon be available at 386.

So if anyone plans to deposit more money, they should wait till end of the week to see how things go.
