CelebritiesRe: Timaya Call His Fans Foolish? Press by lagoslag: 7:49am On Apr 20, 2009
True talk man. U don't go out there and say anything u like thinking they wont come back to hunt u. It doesn't matter if he was referring to the media or his fans. The media and the fans made him what he is today and they can break him in a twinkle of an eye. I like Timaya and his mouth but this one was alittle over the top.its very unprofessional to tell people about your marketing stunt, his next CD may suffer album sales. Not a smart move from Timaya if he actually did said that or is it just another publicity stunt for his next single? who knows. Timaya is a business man . get money timaya. lol
Music/RadioRe: 2pac Or Eminem by lagoslag: 10:06am On Apr 13, 2009
true talk. i dont see why you should compare pac and em. hip-hop now is not thesame as hip-hop then. Now rappers have alot to work with and the music industry now is alot better than then but whatever the case maybe, pac held it down for hip-hop for rappers like 'em to follow and get to where they are today. I think you'd be better off comparing em vs Nas

R.I.P Pac

Its naija!!!! just like sauce kid would say. politics no go allow the right people lead. Tell me what business Obj has with nigeria after his military regime. bros came back to rule as a civilian. like that was not enough then he tried to seek for a third term. who knows what he'll do after death. might seek for thesame office in the life after. Babangida was also trying to get back. Its high time these old men that killed our country give way to the obama generation.

@ eastbay

Alright, this is the last time i'll be addressing u. thought i was talking to a dummy but you've just confirmed that u are a lesser slowpoke.
Again puleez don't just type cos everyone else is typing, type cos you got something meaningful to say.
Check your facts b4 u put them out or u'll be walking butt naked in circle around ur village market.
Hope you take these lessons in good faith.

U started off asking how patriotic are those athletes that changes their nationality
Now you are proud to mention Merlene Ottey as your reference forgetting to mention that she gave up her jamaican nationality in 2002 and picked up a Slovenia citizenship. How contradicting is that?

Again you said she has been winning medals and still winning. where do u get your facts from?
She represented Slovenia in 100 meters at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens and only made it to the semis
She finished fourth in the 2006 European Championships semi-finals and never made it to the finals
She failed to qualify for the beijing olympics at age 48
No doubt she's the greatest female athlete of all time but don't feed us garbage

I see no reason replying u cos honestly u don't know what u are talking about. Go and read your post and after reading if u are not ashamed of urself then u are a certified slowpoke and if you are ashamed of urself, u are still a slowpoke but one with hope.

Glad u have your own business but not the type anyone would love to associate themselves with. Right, Eastbay at Ebay trying to fraud people everyday. good luck slowpoke, lets see to what extent ur next post is going to ridicule ur lame ass,

SportsRe: Intermilan Ready To Offer Mikel £3.3million(shame On Mikel Condemners) by lagoslag: 5:30pm On Apr 08, 2009
@eastbay
Thats not a very intelligent post you said, yes its not cos you are one of those nigerians with an incomplete brain fusion. just because someone decides to pick a different nationality means he's not patriotic? How patriotic is nigeria to u? lets be realistic here. Its all about struggling and people strive very hard just to get to the next day. After toiling hard and finally getting to their promise land, what most people think first is financial security for their families and friends because the country has taught us how work in that direction due to the hardship we face in nigeria. So if any anybody decides to change their nationality just to make ends meet doesn't mean he or she is not patriotic. U talked about francis obikwelu and where he is now. He holds the record for the fastest time in the 100 m set by a European competitor with a time of 9.86 seconds. He finished second in the 100 m at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, the first medal ever in athletics sprinting events for Portugal. He won 100 m and 200 m in 2006 at the European Championships in Athletics and became the first athlete to win both 100 m and 200 m in the same European Championship since 1978.   what he has archieved after giving up his nigerian citizenship is priceless. He's happily retired now cos he's come off age.

Glory Alozie Oluchi was born December 30, 1977 she won a whole lots of medals with her spanish side and u dont expect her to still compete effectively at the age of 32 with the new generation of 15 to 20year sprinters.

U mentioned what george weah has done for liberia, what samuel did in cameroun e.t.c but failing to mention what our nigerian footballer has done u patriotic idiot ( sorry i used that word but u deserved it) Where is kanu's heart foundation? segun odegabmi football academy just to mention a few. i guess these nigerians are not patriotic to u. At end of the day, being patriotic is something everyone should emulate but not at the expense of your supper. eat, when ur belle full then u can think of being patriotic, thats how it works in nigeria. Its reality, this is not england nor america. face reality. Eastbay wea dey talk about patriotism, na ur jobless type dey wakabout town dey destroy public property. I'm sure u are presently seeking an asylum is sudan but if that the way for u and ur family to survive, my guy carry go.

Don't type cos u want to but type cos u have something worthy to write and next time u mention my name in your post be ready to take the hit cos i'll end ur career on NL.

SportsRe: Intermilan Ready To Offer Mikel £3.3million(shame On Mikel Condemners) by lagoslag: 4:16am On Apr 08, 2009
I'm not here to take sides of supporters of mikel nor haters of mikel but what i'm here to say is that why is mikel's name all over NL? make una let the poor boy rest, this hating is getting irritating. if he has done anything bad in the past, he shouldn't be crucified like that. Thats his life and he doesn't owe anyone how to live it. If he makes excuses just to stay away playing for nigeria, fine. na u dey feed him papa? we've seen countless players that chose not to play for nigeria instead choose other countries. we've seen players that have done worst things that u could ever imagine but one thing we keep forgeting is that these players don't owe their life to nigeria but their choice to do whatever they are comfortable doing. i don't blame players for such act cos nigeria doesn't help things at all. when a player gets injured serving his country, the country quickly forgets that he ever put his career and life on the line and played his heart out. What happened to Amunike? who ever talks about sam okparaji today or pays his family royalty or something. take this track and field athlete for example Francis Obikwelu who was initially running for nigeria and winning medals. when injury struck, nigeria neglected him and he had to go all the way to canada himself to take care of it. After he got back on his feet, he felt that no one really cared about him nor his future and then decides to pick up a portuguese citizenship and then ran for portugal. Just after then stupid nigerians like the ones on NL started lashing out at him for refusing to run for his country. where were these people and nigeria when the poor boy was in pain? so you guys should let mikel be, he doesn't owe anybody his life, he plays whenever he wants to and better off if, nigeria doesn't like it simply don't call him up for assignments. go and blame the system and leave the players out. Call up Taiwo ogunjobi and his fellows and criticize them cos when mikel gets injured in the line of duty they are going to spend mikel's medical allowance in france with their families and then u switch on ur computer lashing out at innocent players thereby forgetting to see the main problem cos you probably just another nigerian with an incomplete brain fusion from drinking garri all ur life. thats what the govt made up for u to believe cos garri is the best food u could eat and oil money is for them and their family and u greatfully said its true oga to that. Easy manipulated nigerians, open ur eyes and see clearly if garri gree u see.

Music/RadioRe: Nigerian Industry Artists Who Could Actually Do Good Globally? by lagoslag: 8:27am On Apr 05, 2009
What are u guys talking about, Fela did went global, till date he's one of the few african act known globally. I've met folks from all works of life and different race. whenever  our discussion gets close to african music, 3 out of every 5 mentions fela and his music. Fela is a legend and his music still lives not just in africa but around the world. I've walked into countless spots abroad with nothing relating to africa or nigeria but yet hear them play fela's music. Femi kuti is also known beyond the shores of africa but not globally.

Lagbaja for sure will sell globally if with the right record label
Asa for sure is global material, watch out for her reign sooner or later.

Our traditional music will do better abroad if well guided by the right hands than these foreign genre our nowadays youths are in love with.

SportsRe: Etim Slams Mikel, Martins by lagoslag: 5:24am On Apr 03, 2009
Speculations, shit talks, blind talks are one of the characteristics of an average nigerian. Why crucify mikel and martins because the match ended in a goal less draw? what is the system doing to help nigerian football? we know what our problems are but just because of the greedy people sitting on that round table making football decisions chose to turn a blind eye to the truth. Why NFA keep bringing back amodu after series of failed attempts? this is capital bribery and corruption that is killing our football today. these guys fail and all of a sudden, they find their way up to taking thesame job they've failed in archieving more than 10 times. Mikel and martins may not have lived up to expectation in that match but what's a job of a coach? i mean a bloody one like amodu. doesn't he have the right to observe individual performance and the teams performance as a whole and make substitutions? Etim has the right to make his contributions as long as they are positive and i see some sense in what he said although i didn't watch the match but if mikel and martins were bad the bloody coach should have made early substitution or some sort of technical strategy to correct what's going wrong.

So my people i'd say take time in crucifying the system instead of individual acts. Once or even more than once mikel and martins made the country proud, they shouldn't be held accountable for whats going on now. If these guys play better football at the individual club sides but perform poorly with nigerian national team isn't that a good enough reason to tell u that our system is bad? This is what i think happens

NFA is corrupt
Amodu is also corrupt
Amodu is a well know name in Nigeria when it comes to coaching
NFA goes for a coach they can control and manupulate
Amodu has some of those xteristics so he fits NFA qualification better

NFA signs an official 2 million naira contract with amodo per month and feed the public with the news
The same NFA signs another backyard contract with amodu that pays him 200,000 naira a month and tells him anyday u refuse to take this agreed amount, we'll fire you.
Amodu takes the job but on the other side knowing that he has to survive
He invites players that are hungry to play for the national team even though there are thousands of better players not invited
To be part of his team called up for an assignment, the player needs to pay a certain fee
To be part of his first 11 on the pitch, the player needs to pay even more

This way NFA is making money and they are happy
Amodu is making money and he is happy
But Nigeria is getting bad result and folks on Nairaland are not happy

NB. the figures here are just assumptions not the actuals. NFA is ripping nigeria off far more than what i projected. I hope this settles the disputes here.
