Kukere master, Iyanya, has explained why he left Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records less than two years after teaming up with the record label.

The MTN project Fame star appeared to have been fed up with life under Don Jazzy, as he was said to have struggled to repeat the same feat that made him one of Nigeria’s promising music stars some five years ago.

Though, Iyanya said his decision to leave the label that prides itself as one of the biggest music records in Africa was because of his plan to keep seeking for ways to become better with his music career that many people believed was failing.

Iyanya, who is now signed to The Temple Music, in a recent radio interview, said he discovered it was time for him to move on and face new challenges life might throw at him, adding that he remains a Mavin for life.
With Tiwa Savage, Reekardo Banks, Korede Bello, Dr SID, Di’ja and a number of others on the Mavin label, Iyanya failed to push his career through. He struggled to release an EP and two videos while he was with the label.

Speaking on why he left, the singer denied claims in some quarters that his exit was to connect with the big acts on the label, adding that ‘’It was not beef. I was there and it was time to move on. I’m now signed to Temple Music but, I am a Mavin for life.’’

His exit leaves the Mavin with Tiwa, Dr Sid D’Prince, Di’ja, Reekado Banks, Korede Bello, Johny Drille, Poe and the DNA twins.

Nigerian big boy living in Malaysia, Hushpuppi, has released a throwback picture on Instagram and he used the opportunity to fire shots at Nigerian rappers again. This time he came for Ice Prince and M.I Abaga saying, “I once sold bottle water to Ice Prince in traffic but today he and his “big dawg” need my name on their record to make sales”.

The same malaysia he was paid to go and perform was where I was struggling for money for ticket to go and hustle but glory be to God today him and his “big dawg” need my name on their record to make sales, they need to talk about me to get attention, in a situation like that I’m just supposed to go to church and say THANK YOU GOD. Like uncle M.I said to kelly handsome when he was in his prime, Why should I diss em and give them cheap promotion? The same line I’m using to you today while I’m in my prime and see u as a nobody too, but M.I I want u to have faith and hope and be motivated by my story, you too can make it and be big like me.

RRS Commander, Tunji Disu revealed how robbers perpetuate criminal acts with fake guns in Lagos.

Tunji took to Twitter to share photos of a fake gun some robbers in Lagos abandoned, which they used in snatching a car.

According to Tunji Disu, the timely intervention of the RRS made the robbers flee, as they abandoned their fake gun and the car they snatched. Here’s his tweet below;
