bixton: This is Nigeria. Everyone is a boss. We don't have people who lead, every one who claims to lead just wants to show he knows it all.
Deal with the situation on ground and not because someone wants to flex his muscle. you won't learn anything this way. Either you agree or not. The truth remains that the architect leads the pack. Except otherwise where other professionals are selected as project manager in such site and such person must be a professional project manager. And not one road side baba Jamiu parading himself an engineer. Most times professionals don't know their boundary. They tends to want a to correct the architects design which is not possible. They don't like challenges that will change the status quo |

bixton: There is no argument in that. What I'm saying is that we should all work together instead of saying who comes first or last .
After all when it comes to construction, a civil/structural engineer can work fantastically fine without an architect but every architect needs the engineer.
So we should harness our abilities/ideas , work as a team and complement one another. Read my next post. And be enlightened. Someone must lead the pack. |

biliment: bro please clear them on that ooo... my Blv is that in Nigeria we fail to put d right professional in the right section of construction. This confuse most client to be certain of who to employ in managing there construction in different phases. it's only in Nigeria u will see an architect in charge of both the design stage and construction stage which suppose not to be so. Permit me to enlighten you a little bit. An architect is a person that designs and supervises the construction of a building to it totality. So this means at the design stage an architect does his job send Sam drawings to the other necessary allied professional where needed. He goes again ahead with the approval and ensures he supervises same to its finishes in conjunction with other professionals needed in site. Now because the achitect is the initiator of the design, he interpretes the minding the client, therefore he is naturally in the best position to coordinate the project. Thereby mistimed making him the project manager . However a number of conditions may be applicable in the selection of a project architect. Moreso, the role of an architect does not in any way make other professionals irrelevant or less important in site as they are all colleagues in the built industry. |

bixton: The problem we have in this country is that every profession wants to be recognised. I wonder what will happen when there's a meeting with the Civil Engineers.
Instead of putting our heads together to bring results we are busy trying to play who is superior to another in the construction industry when we all know every profession is relevant. Not one can do without the other, but the case is different in Nigeria. The use of building codes begins with the planners, architects before the engineers. |

Create your own job. This piece is awesome and insightful but it's a long route to career suicide. Be your own boss do nobody can sack you. You just get sick of some idiots and Myron's put above you as leaders and supervisors that keep wanting your loyalty to that you can both be so comfortable in the sit of stupidity. They easily feel threatened and they must see you as a threat. While others are just wasteful additions to the management staff. So why stay there. Common be your own boss. Simple |

So if you have sorted them to at least 2kg average then you must have 500pcs as one ton. Meanwhile a plastic conrainertmostly will take 50kg .so for one ton you only need 20 of such plastic containers. |

dainformant: While some Nigerians have made it a habit of always criticizing our products, foreigners abroad are continuously showing that they cherish made-in-Nigeria goods/items. A Nigerian businesswoman and brand promoter, Lauretta Chinenye from Awkuzu, Anambra state - has narrated what happened after she came across a set of Australians in the United Kingdom.
According to the lady who claimed to have been invited for the wedding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle due to take place on 19 May 2018 at Windsor Castle, the Australian women were amazed by her Nigerian attire as they decided to take pictures of her and also with her.
Below is what she shared on her Facebook page;
So these Australians women saw me and were taking pictures of me. I was wondering what was going on. I was wondering if people were beginning to see my inner Beyonce and mistook me for her. Anyway, they approached me and said they loved my African top and the combination. Wondered where I got it from..So I told them I am a Princess from Nigeria and my subjects give them to me for free.
Chisos!!! Immediately they heard "princess" This women went gaga and started hugging and begging to take pictures with me as they have never spoken to a real life princess before in their lives.
They asked what I came to do, I said am on holiday and also to attend Prince Harry's wedding, which my kingdom was invited, so am representing my father Ladies and gentlemen I present to you- Princess Chinenye Of Awkuzu Kingdom.

He snubbed Angela Markel in White House; refusing to shake her hands in oval office. He shocked President Al Sisi of Egypt. Told him point blank in WH that he will cut aid to Egypt. He called North Korean leader Kim Jung Un , the 'Rocket Man'. He has chastised President Putin. Heaping sanctions on his close associates. He called out Theresa May of Britain. He criticised China and her leaders. He took a risk of trade war with China. He called Mexicans rapist , drug peddlers and unsavoury names. Even plans to build a wall. He fought American footballers who refused to honour their anthem. He is fighting the largest media platform, CNN. He is fighting establishments in US; FBI, CIA, JUDICIARY etc. He knocked NATO allies. Threatened Iran. Shot into Syria. He fights with his appointees if needs be. He called black Americans 'LAZY' before his elections. He called African nations 'shithole'. He is not afraid to tell it to u , no matter who u are because he is the POTUS. He says it exactly the way it is, snubs, Bullshits even world leaders. He rarely gives compliments BUT when he met President Buhari, everything changed. He was so excited that he could not control it. To d extent that he was even longing for a 'selfie'/ close shot, smiling to the camera. Meaning it was deliberate. Gave PMB d full presidential compliments he has hardly given any other leader since assuming office. He didn't stop there, he went on and on with eternal compliments. Buhari became a Rock star to him. WHY ? The honour and unusual integrity , dedication and commitment of a black man. Finally he said, " I have tremendous respect for President Buhari.....Buhari is a honest & great leader Africa has produced ....For your sake, I will like to visit Nigeria pretty soon."
He also called him the No. 1 President of Africa.
Keep your honour. It will speak for u someday.
If the Hater's hero can say this about my President , why should I attempt to support or vote another.
It took a 75 year old President to attract such an honour to Nigeria. What far younger ones couldn't do for years. It is an honour for us all; all Nigerians not for PMB alone.
Buhari Again 2019.
Proudly Nigerian. I will just advise you print this your write-up and summarize it yourself. Pls read it well. Someone fighting everybody in the world and the other one has killing under his nose and you are talking about integrity. Exactly the same kind of youths your gods are talking about. |

hadjipapiey: what do you take of your cousin sister showing advances and professing deep love and care?
It started when we were young, about 15 years ago. I had finished my SSCE when we had a get together at the remembrance of my grandfather, all the grandchildren showed up, and it was the first time we had met(grown up).
I was almost 2 years older, we got talking and chatting and trying to know each other. While at it, I was in charge telling her about myself, the school I attended and all. All I could observe is staring and gazing straight into my eye balls.
After the remembrance, I got to understand her looks translated into feelings where she had to ask her mum can one marry her cousin? To me i only can feel she was just a kid being childish about it. Since then we kept our cool and we're just the normal cousin brother and sister.
Fast forward till now, I'm Married while she's married too. We've lost contacts for years cos of struggles and all and we only got back online talking lately, we got talking about life and delved into relationships. It was then she told me what she had for me years back. Her husband is a weekend husband coz of the nature of his work, but she wants some sort of very close friendship. It really funny and confusing what string she's trying to pull
Matured minds please advise
Run, my friend run as fast as your legs can carry you. Biblically remember Joseph he ran. Locally don't forget those siblings that got married and were asked to perform trial cleansing. Don't get entangled in future wrecking advances. |

Cromcruach91: 1.In 2013....GEJ told ASUU the truth...that govt could not give their employers the Universties 3 trillion in extra funding.
And thus fee increases were just a matter of time
2. You cannot fund a university on fees less than 30000 naira. Something has got to give.
3.Until someone can convince Buhari to take N3 trillion from this year's budget of N8 trillon and use it to satisfy ASUU/FG agreement of 2009...fees are going to have to go up.
4.Or we take another IMF loan...or we watch as private unviersties surpass public universties. Your choice. Pls you can run a university with that amount cut all the investments the school has. How come vice chancellors now becomes the guest of efcc . This is largely due to the corruption in our tertiary institutions. Those people in charge of university administrations are corrupt. |
