Popular critic, Reno Omokri has advised The Minister of Power, Babatunde Raji Fashola, to stop lying against Jonathan and instead give Nigerians power supply in adequate form.

He made the statement while reacting to a comment by Fashola where he said former President Goodluck Jonathan did not challenge the result of the 2015 elections because he had wrecked the economy and mismanaged the nation and was glad to go.

Fashola’s exact words were as follows:

“Many didn’t know what happened in detail. One of the reasons, it seems, that they did not contest the outcome of the election was perhaps because the economy was already paused. It does not matter whichever government that took over, they knew everything was down.

The foreign earning from crude oil at the international market was falling at an alarming rate. So, when the cash was no longer coming in, they felt like, ‘let them come and take it over.”

According to Reno,

'these remarks are false and only show the extent to which Fashola has fallen For the avoidance of doubt, let me factually state that Nigeria was performing better in every sphere of government on May 29, 2015, than it is doing now.

He went on to say,:

"For example, on that date, Nigeria was the number one destination for foreign direct investment in Africa as rated by the Geneva-based United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (Unctad). Today, we have deteriorated to being ranked as the 19th most attractive investment destination in Africa. Do not take my word for it. Please do Google it.

Going further, Nigeria was acclaimed by the world’s preeminent anti-corruption monitor, Transparency International, for her successes, under President Jonathan, of using technology to fight corruption, such that Nigeria made her best improvements on TI’s Corruption Perception Index moving 8 steps forward from 144 to 136.

Whereas today, under Mr Fashola’s so-called anti-corruption government, Nigeria has made her worst ever deterioration in Transparency International’s Corruption Perception Index, moving backwards by 12 points from 136 to 148. The Oyo state government has released a statement on Ayefele's Music House demolition yesterday in Ibadan, the State Capital.

Also contained in the statements are what the government considered as Yinka Ayefele's faults which led to the demolition.

According to the statement released by the Special Adviser, Physical Planning and Development Control to the state governor, Abiola Ajimobi, Waheed Gbadamosi, the building occupied more land than was approved, had a radio mast which was not in the approval issued, toilets, also kitchen were built on the wall of the building and many others.

What You Should Know About The Partial Demolition At The Music House

1. 19th May, 2017, letters demanding for planning approval were sent to various institutions including UCH, Kola Daisi University, University of Ibadan and other institutions and organisatons.

2. 14th June 2017, request for approval was sent to Music House and 22 other radio stations in Oyo State.

3. 18th August 2017, Reminder Letter was sent Music House and the letter was received by Adebisi Akinkunmi.

4. 25th August 2017 A letter was sent to National Broadcasting Commission titled Operation of Radio Stations without Physical Planning permit/Aprroval in Oyo State.

5. November 27, 2017: another letter was sent to NBC complaining about Physical Planning Law and Regulations by the Radio station owners, developers and operators.

6. December 4, 2017: NBC responded that the issue is outside its mandate

7. 14th June 2018: an approved building plan was submitted and BPP& DC discovered that it was meant to be an office complex and not a radio station.

8. June 25th 2018: A joint visit was consequently carried out by the officials of the Bureau with Music House officials.

9. We discovered the following:

a. The building size measured 29.7 metres by 21.6 metres on ground as against the 11.925metres by 10.20metres in the approved survey plan/building plan as submitted by Music House. (Meaning that used up more land than was approved)

b. The building has encroached into the sight distance of the Y junction along Lagelu Estate.

c. Kitchen/canteen is attached to the wall fence

d. Toilets also attached to the wall fence

e. Store is also attached to the wall fence
f. Power house attached to the wall fence
g. Mast erected is not in the plan
h. Spiral Staircase on site is not included in the plan
i. The basement of the plan has been converted to an event centre

*All these were not in the approved plan*

10. June 29, 2018: letter was sent to Music house to come and regularize its building plan.

11. Demolition notices were then sent when they failed to respond to the earlier request for the submission of AS – Built Plan for approval

But if all the facts stated by the state government are true and with what David the media cheif of latefee posted then the state government is right about this demolition . Just that they should have allowed the court to give it's ruling first.
I think ayefele is surrounded by low intelligent people and who kept advising him wrongly.
Never draw out a government in to a media war when you are wrong ,it will definitely backfire. The message written by David ajiboye was even indirectly tauting and challenging the state government to try and demolish the place
Public sentiment can't take the place of the rule of law. This demolition could have been avoided if ayefele had taken the political way of resolving the issue

Do not offend the wrong person.

The Oyo state government may claim that no permission was given for the modification of the said building which is why it was demolished and thereby win in a court of law, however he lost in the people's court.
The simple fact remains that a radio station of a disabled which employed tens of persons just got demolished.
They should have turned a blind eye to the building. People will sentimentalize this and blow it out of proportion.
Know whom you are dealing with and do not offend the
wrong person.

Dear Yinka Ayefele,

If truly you obtained all necessary documents and due approvals from relevant government agencies in Oyo state, kindly look for a good lawyer and sue the state government for every single kobo that building is worth. Don't ever make the stupid mistake of leaving everything to God. God will do nothing to right the injustice meted out to you. Go to court and fight for what belongs to you.

In my opinion, I think the marriage has already deteriorated as its beyond redemption at this point. From your story, your wife's love is apparently with the guy and not you. Question is, do you envisage a restoration of your marriage in any way? If no, please initiate divorce proceedings. If yes, then get professional counseling because if you continue at this rate, I'm afraid, violence may be inevitable.

Do not get confrontational with the guy or your wife as they both haven't committed any criminal offense and certainly the law wouldn't spare you should there be any injuries or fatalities.

For the sake of your child and your own future, handle it civilly.
