Hi, did you receive this by email? I applied from France so quite frankly there is literally no info on how to do it from diaspora. If anyone has done this successfully, please shed light on your process. Thanks all! CLASSMAN: |
Congratulations!! ![]() jide4lagos: |
People in Abuja have gotten theirs since? This delay is so stressful mentally to say the least lol jide4lagos: |
Personally I made use of www.flightreservationforvisa.com and paid 25 USD for a reservation valid for about 3 weeks or so . Other people may have other sources, but frankly I had a good experience because I was able to get the ticket in less than 4 hours and make changes to it after my Campus France interview. Savvyspns: |
Savvyspns:it has to be a one-way ticket , but for confirmation when does your studies end? |
You will have proof of enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year, yeah? Then you are good too, thats the second part of the sentence. Desmondcedar: |
ojxclusive:Yes this is different. You will make the payment for about 25k for VFS processing fee. |
So you need to be within one of these conditions to be allowed to enter France unvaccinated: • French citizens, their spouses (married, civil union and cohabiting) and their children. • Citizen of the European Union or equivalent, and their spouse (married, civil union or cohabiting partner) and their children, whose main residence is in France or who is returning, in transit through France, to their main residence in a European Union country or equivalent, or to a country whose nationality they hold; • Citizens of other countries with a valid French or European residence permit or long-stay visa whose main residence is in France or who are in transit through France to their main residence in a European Union country or a similar country. • British citizens and their family members who are beneficiaries of the agreement on the withdrawal of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland from the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community. Researchers settling in France on the invitation of a research laboratory, for research activities that require physical presence, as well as their spouse (married, civil partner, cohabiting partner on presentation of proof of community of life) and children. • Workers in the land, sea and air transport sector or transport service providers (including drivers of any vehicle transporting goods for use in the territory as well as those only in transit, or travelling as passengers to resettle in their home base or for training). • Foreign citizen working for a diplomatic or consular mission, or an international organisation with its headquarters or an office in France, as well as their spouse and their children or a foreign citizen of a third country staying in France for a compelling professional reason under a mission order issued by their country of origin. • Travellers in transit for less than 24 hours in an international zone. So far people that have gone to vaccination centers were told they are not doing it anymore, which may lead one to think that the donations have finally ran out. Are you applying for long or short stay? Desmondcedar: |
Co ask please ![]() What was it like? How long did it take and what was asked? I have mine for next week, who is with me? ![]() meedx: |
Congratulations on your admission. You need to sign up on the Etudes en France account and load your admission details under the "I already have an admission" tab. https://pastel.diplomatie.gouv.fr/etudesenfrance/dyn/public/authentification/login.html Once all has been validated by Campus France, they will ask you to make payment of 50k and to book an interview date where they will discuss all your study plans and also check your support documents via a checklist which they will share with you. Once you pass this stage successfully, you will go to do biometric capture and submission at France VFS office and wait for a decision. Hope this helps. jide4lagos: |
Martinyimi007:In that case, you need to sign up to Campus France and click on the "I already have admission" option. You would be required to load your admission letters and some other little stuff, but for the most part it's pretty straight forward. |
Martinyimi007:Awesome! Did you just secure the admission? Did you apply via Campus France or your school has a seperate portal to process admissions? |
KrazzyAndy:Hi Andy, Most schools close their admissions process in May and June, so you would be working on a very slim window. However you can check bachelors portal, or campus france to get a wide selection list. From there you can visit choice schools websites to narrow down your selection. Most bachelors in France would require you to have a proficiency in the language, but I am not sure that applies to all. You should keep that in mind. |
Hi Josh, Most sensible landlords would only ask you for a full months rent as deposit (refundable when you move out) , and the rent for the month in which you plan to move in (prorated by how many days in the month you are committing to stay in the house for the first month). I used an agency, so I had to pay extra administrative fees - but if you are not going through agency but normal landlord, they may require guarantor and the guarantee agencies usually ask for almost the same amount in fees (about 200-300 EUR). you may be lucky and find a lnadlord who wants to skip the whole admin/guarantor fees aspect, but keep in mind that these houses sometimes may not be up to standard, but beggars can't be choosers I guess. Josh2013:Hi Josh, congrats to you. I used colocation city and just signed the lease last week. However you can use other colocation agencies like immojeune, colocatere, or even appartager for your search - most of them don’t require a French guarantor. If you want to use a private landlord please keep in mind that they would ask for a French guarantor, and sometimes they reject even visale, garantie and the other guarantor agencies. Not all though but you can try. Lastly, if you don’t want to go the route of private accommodation (which can be relatively expensive) you can try to lobby for CROUS apartments from the 9th of July onwards, except you are on scholarship as they usually prioritize those. The only downside was the earliest date for me was too far, and if it was not satisfactory enough I would have to go private and most of the juicy accommodations would have been snatched up. To make it worse, the accommodation confirmation portal for my school closes on the 15th of July so that would have been cutting it too close. Hope this helps. |
thanks chief. Have you started as well? where are you at with the whole procedure? princelee101: |
Hi Tobi, I got admission in April and submitted my Campus France file. I got notice that one of my sections are incomplete so I am currently editing the file. However, I have not yet submitted because I dont want to pay now and have to go for interview when i don't have all my visa requirements complete, or is that not a prerequisite? TobiAwodipe: |
