we need to know exactly what the issue is with the papers. Some time if not in all cases those customs guys also play on the ignorance of car owners as well. For example.. i. was driving one of the cars that I was actively involved in the clearing. That was in 2013.

Fast foward to 2016 when I was driving down to the east I was stopped by customs at Itele along lagos benin express just after ijebuode or so and was told I did not pay complete duty for the car.
The guy opened a customs book with CURRENT rates bla bla bla.. and showed me the supposed amount or percentage I was supposed to pay as against mine.
I was almost fooled until it clicked and I just told him " Oga this moto na since 2013 e enter o no be 2016 or 15 sef." this rate you dey show me na new rate sir"...

The look on his face was like I just spilt his milk(which I did actually) .

I was handed my papers and off I went.


So my point is if I was ignorant or not smart enough I would have had my car "illegally" impounded till I coughed out a hefty sum....so ask your brothers what exactly the issue they were told was the problem with their papers. It can never be insurance. Customs have nothing to do with that.

That dude just defines a very silly crook. Reminds meow an incident about 3 weeks back when I was stopped by an FRSC patrol team. They claimed my licence showed a different car from my truck, a apssat belonging to a woman inAbuja and so my vehicle was to be impounded bla bla. I was like Oga, let me see this gadget you're holding and what its saying only for me to discover he switched one of the first letters.

Im sure my look was indescribable, he smiled sheepishly and handed me my papers.

Ive got several stories but Ill share one. I was returning from the mechanics shop that night and unknown to me he didn't tighten the nut on the front passenger tyre of the car. During an attempt to overtake at top speed, the tyre vibrated hard and flew up spinning and bouncing till it crashed into a parked vehicle.

I managed to bring the car to a stop on the bank of the road amid sparks and grinding on the pavement. I left the car and went to look for help. Upon return, I saw the right passenger window smashed, the bonnet open and the rear seats tampered with. Radio, battery, Speakers and tyres(with the wheels) gone.

I am a big fan of the 007 movies and having watched all the movies right from the 60s starring Sean Connery till date and must I say the James bond movies have become quite disappointing especially after Daniel Craig took over.

I was enthusiastic when I watched the trailer for Spectre but a trifle disappointed when I watched the movie. Its wack! No high tech, an unruly 007 agent and heck, the car chase scenes are worse off. In comparison to the Fast and furious, Mission Impossible and the Expendables series, United artists should just take a break from the movie scene or change the director IMHO.

Can wait for a new Bond character tho. Just thinking

I'm to commence production of a cereal and the product is in powder form. I need small sealed nylon/polythene packages with full coloured prints like Omo, Ariel #50 packs. I learnt I will have to carry my products to the company for them to package but the companies I have come across are in Lagos while I'm in the Kaduna.
