In need of a companion pet that requires very low cost maintenance and gives a high level of fun, craves your attention and keeps you quite interested in return? definitely an African grey parrot will be a good choice and a young, female, home trained and cared for parrot like this will be excellent. Brief facts: 1. The African Gray Parrot is deemed one of the most intelligent birds and, in contrast with other parrots so much that its cognitive development is similar to that of highly intelligent animals like chimpanzees, dolphins and even a 9 year old child. 2. These species have the uncanny ability to learn and reproduce human speech as well as make mental connections between words and their meanings, express certain preferences and even apply concepts such as color, shape and number. 3. My Parrot has been fed grains (Maize), groundnut, sugarcane and can also feed on fresh fruits and vegetables. I got her a couple of months ago but I'll be traveling in 2 weeks and won't be around to cater and play with her. Coming with this deal are two iron cages for indoor, transfer and outdoor purposes worth well over N8000 as a bonus. I'm located in kaduna but I'll be on my way through lagos within the above stated period. Pictures coming in shortly Thanks |

Which one of the two Oga? |
90 billion dollars?! Bill gates sef no reach and here you say diezani is returning it? ![]() Very poor attempt |
barcaboi:How much? |
I hope all the screens and cameras won't suck up the battery in a jiffy. |
Siena:Definitely, he going to take them off and I also plan to change the current logo to a standard one. I'm repainting the hood alone. I have little trust in nigerian painters and as a result I don't expect a job that'll be miuch different from what I have. |
Headlamps, pointers, spoilers, horn, Kickstarter, instrument cluster light have been procured and replaced. I couldn't get the AC vent though. Electrically all lights come on but I'm awaiting the reverse switch and fuel gauge indicator on the dash. Headlamps & pointers Spoiler Gear bushings

6. Bad hind suspension system: After opening up the tyres, both rear suspensions were looking good but the problem rested with the propeller. The tech loosened it up & we got this: It was replaced asap[/quote]

Updates! Due to work and lots of travels, I have not been on ground to take pictures and provide updates on the project. My absence has taken a huge toll on the project's progress. Until we are pushed, a lot of we humans do not do the needful. Well after storming the workshop yesterday and insisting that the car be coupled back as I'm taking it away that same hour, I got some dedicated timelines for completion. Here are updates as at yesterday 26th Sept. - Badly cracked windshield - Twisted hood: Hood was removed, beaten and smoothed. It'll be repainted today - Bad gear selector- We discovered it's okay but an important clip is missing. The one that holds a joint of 3 levers together. The gear bushing was also bad. A replacement will be sought, picture included. 3. Fuel pump totalled: Replaced! 4. Faulty Wipers: The wiper was still good. It was only clogged with dirt. It was promptly cleaned and it's back to super condition. 5. Ugly door panels: Both doors go for 18 large so I had to improvise. Matter of fact, the panels are okay except for a new lining wrapped around the textile and ribbit in an ugly way. Fortunately I've got some red vinyl provided by the seller. The ugly lining will be replaced to give a black and red interior. I hope it comes out nice though.

Siena:Thanks sir for your lucid post. I had an idea of what I'm against full time and your post has done more to justify that thought. This car was acquired not for the purpose of a daily runner or special classic, it's a ride I intend to take out occasionally when off work or on weekends. It's not an ace and definitely it will be replaced in the near future so I don't intend sinking heavy capital into it. In the end, I still think it'll be worth the thrill I desired. Yes, four days was totally off mark but the estimation was made based on the manpower dedicated to its repairs. It's 2 weeks gone already but there's light at the end of the tunnel already. Once again, thanks for registering your thoughts. They are appreciated |
Originalsly:Thanks for taking out one to view this thread. Considering how far I've gone with this I'll say it's a little too late to go back. Having owned the same model previously I have at least the slightest idea of how to manage this one. My companion was a driver too, just. Seat back and do check on the thread from time to time. Thanks |
Exponental:Thanks boss Coldplay007:Thanks Coldplay, I already joined like Jan this year but switched numbers. I'll link up again chukel:Lol, actually more than that. But everything's on a budget though |
Work started the very same day car rolled in. 1. Hood removed and straightened. 2. The electrical works are being looked into as we speak
|
Now a project without a vision is dead on arrival, this picture below is what I'm working towards with this baby. I'm considering changing the colour to white but I'm against changing the base colour of the car. No doubt though, after some panel beating work done, some painting is definitely required. The project is estimated to take just about 4 days but there's being some sort of delay. Technicians and the weather all have a part to play in that.

Now my posts are going through, more pictures ![]() 1. Battered bonnet 2. Slick tired 3. General front view

Sorry I've not given progress reports. I've tried posting the past coup,e days but the posts don't come through, network maybe. Rainfall has been a strong factor of delay as we've had rainfall everyday since I got back. Woke has also not enabled me take pictures as I'ld love to but I'll share nonetheless. First some pictures on some needed changes 1. Cracked windshield (to be replaced) 2. Boot trunk lock (welded already)

Okay, so I'm finally in Kaduna. I headed straight to the mechanic's workshop to drop her. I've suffered enough embarassment from Japanese cars and drivers on my way and I can't wait to tune this baby up. Right from the get go, I had a budget set up. I'm not prepared to spend beyond a certain amount on her, at least for the time being. I ran a quick assessment of the repairs to be carried out to bring her to normal driving conditions. Please note that this assessment was carried out before actual purchase of vehicle but a myriad of issues developed on the way. First, the faults in no particular order 1. After asking a partner to help check the car 'statistics' before take off, he checked but forgot to lock in the bonnet. As soon as we got on the freeway, next thing was the bonnet flipping back on high speed and smashing into the windshield- - Badly cracked windshield - Twisted hood 2. Still enroute, gear selector fell out and car won't disengage from Gear 4. Pushed on until we arrived at a narrow, rough hilly part of the road and had to work some DIY magic - Bad gear selector 3. Fuel pump totalled due to some kangaroo work done earlier 4. Faulty Wipers: this particularly made me suffer 5. Ugly door panels 6. Bad hind suspension system , vibrates loudly around 80 km/h 7. Noisy and bad clutch release bearings 8. Headlamps and pointers are out 9. Broken AC vents 10. Screwed stereo: Needs manual support to work 11. Slick tires 12. Bad fuel guage (made me sleep overnight in a unknown village) 13. No reverse light 14. No horn 15. Engine in desperate need of servicing 16. Leaking Silencer (I couldnt hear myself think with this) 17. No handbrakes 18. Kick starter went kaput (I pushed like hell in traffic jams) 19. Instrument cluster won't light up 20. Rusty trunk lock 21. Trunk light missing 22. Tail lights wont just come on Thats all I can remember now. Disclaimer: This post is not to discredit the seller in any way. He was as honest as canbe with this deal. He was also quite hospitable and offerred me a good price. Pictures will be posted accordingly |
At last, I get to do this. I have always been a fan of BMW expecially the e36 series. Why? Apart from being a design that enjoyed high commercial success spanning over 9 years, it was its success that the next model e46 rode on. Despite having used a 1993 BMW 318i saloon as my first 'bought' car which I still own, I always had the hots for the coupe version. I always gawk when I see one and hoped for it but as a struggling young bobo, the money to get a foreign used one wasn't there, expecially as I had some other cars to maintain so I was out for a cheap alternative, possibly a clean Nigerian used example that wont break the bank. Try hard as it may, this particular model design has been difficult to come by. First as Nigerians do not take to BMW as a real favourite and then how many Nigerians actually fall in the category of using a coupe? Well, I searched Olx, Nairaland, efritin etc and even roamed the street before bumping on this. https://www.nairaland.com/2543677/sold-bmw-coupe-e36-99 I weighed my options and eventually opted for it. I must state that I have gone through quite an experience to get this as I had to fly down and then drive this car all the way form Uyo to Kaduna. No be small matter. The journey took me 3 full days, juggling unknown villages, getting heavy grease stains, lots of pushing and spending nights on the roadside; something I've never had cause to do nor ever want to try again. The car broke down 4 good times enroute and had a minor incident along the way. Gladly though, I made to Kaduna 8:30am this morning after riding on 80km/hr for 636km. Attached are some pictures for reference 1. My Sedan e36 back 2. Sedan 36 front 2. The coupe after collection 3. The coupe enroute at the filling station Let the story begin...

StealthIdeals:I believe you were provided with the terms and conditions of employment before taking up the job role. Do your bit for a year or so before pressing for demands |
First, based on personal obervations, Uk and Switzerland have some of the cleanest yet most expensive cars from Europe. The exchange rates and shipping costs do not help matters either. The conversion is another ball game altogether. You will be lucky to get a mechanic that can convert recent models flawlessly. Even if that is done, reselling converted naija used cars can deter buyers who will believe there must be something wrong somewhere. Conversion in UK is pocket tearing too. |
magicminister:How did I forget, battery life is outstanding it just for texts but heavy browsing and wifi connection can take me a whole day. And I love the way it syncs all my notes, contacts, messages, mails etc across all IOS devices. It's awesome |
The day I was converted to an IPhone from Android was when I ran a particular game on my Htc same time with my cousin who uses an IPhone 4. The difference in gameplay was stunning I just had to switch. Today I have over 5 Apple products. For brevity's sake, I will just list some of the features that makes me still to an IPhone 5 till date. 1. Screen: is simply stunning. Gorilla glass that is scratch resistant and displays vivid colours. Other phones that display same are quite few. 2. Compact size: why lug a 5" slate around when a 4" will do just fine and still packs enough features. It even makes the resolution better. This I have compared with note4 and Samsung Galxy S5 screens. 3. The processor handles anything. Fluid performance. Simply! 4. Apps? Enough! There are hardly any very interesting game on Android that's not present on Apple, IMHO though but I'm open to correction 5. Ease of use: ever wondered how Apple phones get to thrive with just one button? While Android still packs 3 till date.the gesture options are just more than enough and you get by anything easily. 6. Compatibility: I use Xender apps, use Vlc to download movies and music online: free. Lastly, it's timeless, the same hardware design has been held for over 10 years, no need to upgrade each and every time, sell and resell, just upgrade software and you are good to go. I'll stop here for now. Thanks Jailbreaking is quite unnecessary if you really want to enjoy your iPhone |
I have heard of a Toyota Siena engine swap with a Murano before but please do confirm you have a good mechanic so you dont throw your hard earned cash down a sinkhole |
Oga Cityhood! From N420k to N650k. How come it's appreciating? Have any new fixes been done? And why isn't the owner uploading recent pictures? I'm interested but that price should be highly negotiable based on the fact that it's a third hand car. https://www.nairaland.com/2337451/nigerian-used-bmw-coja-coup#34101605 |
kenedy175:That's a diamond bark Gaboon viper. It's the snake with the longest fangs in west africa. One solid bite from this creature and the tight knot of your mama's wrapper around your leg won't stop the venom from flowing through. |
I stay in a single room apartment in a terrace style building. All flats are on the ground and I will definitely have neighbors passing in front of my flat time and time again. I will love to get a dog and made my search but I have found it difficult getting one with these particular needed qualities. 1. No excessive barking: this automatically chalks out Alsatians and rots from my list. The noise will not only drive me crazy but drive me out of the house when neighbours complain 2. Clean enough to stay indoors when I'm around. I could always have it potty trained and doing its poops during morning jogs 3. Not destructive: yes, very key. I don't want to be in the room and it's busy tearing up the sofa in the living room. 4. Doesn't require high level of maintenance: I thought of a Terrier but it's long fur can be a turnoff, I amy not have enough time to give it a bath twice and week, with all the oiling and stuff 5. Likes to cuddle and play around the house: a wonderful companion dog in short. I came up with two options, a cane corso( I hate the appearance of the Neapolitan) but these dogs can get so big in the near future, a Terrier but for the reason mentioned in No. 4 above. I will need some suggestions house. Thanks |
lrguru:Irguru, you talk true. Al those delta, Edo girls be like promise me you won't sleep with any other girl, one even asked what should happen to me if I do. Wtf. Ekiti, they act like they've never seen a topless guy before. Always all about how guys want to chop and clean mouth but the appreciate a good round though, just too hypocritical. Benue babes have the deepest kitty, no doubt, you will drown if you're not careful, Calabar, you will have to beg for break time along the way. If they cook good food for you, just know you are going to pay back in kind on the bed. Hausa, logs of wood. And they love covering up with blanket or wrapper during the do. The traditional way ![]() |
