cityella: Well, I didn't ask you to convince me, I only asked a follow up question to get a better understanding of what you said. Also, the fact that I asked those questions doesn't mean I am not prepared for the text. All I am saying is that, it is highly unlikely that all the 3 persons that went in before you were giving tests, were going for Masters and they all had the time to tell you personally that they gave them test. You refused to mention the category of visa you applied for. and if it's for studies, you didn't tell us if it's for BSc. Anyways, nobody is saying you are lying, we just want facts here. 3 Likes |

cityella: How sure are you about this?? are you sure those guys that were giving test are going for MSC?.. How did you know they were giving test? Apart from the one you mentioned that said he was going for international management, did the other 2 persons tell you personal that they gave them test too or you just assumed so because of the time they spent. From all the transcripts I have seen here since summer, nobody has mentioned anything about test. For you to now have 3 persons going for Msc. doing tests in a particular day doesn't sound too correct. are you going for Msc too?? 2 Likes |

Ndydy: Thanks for this info. Yea, it is a must to have a letter from your school stating the breakdown of your living expenses for the banks to process form A for you . I think the form A and the black market rates are ok. I was using 440 to do my calculations before. |

A quick one guys... Please is it possible to use my office address on the prepaid envelop which is different from my residential address on all my other documents. Because of work, I may not be at home when they come to deliver and there is no one around to collect the package on my behalf. Will the embassy allow a different address on the prepaid envelop |
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by Lalaski001: 2:19pm On May 21, 2018 |
Sassyp: The one I got was typed on a plain paper. So I think you can just type it or write it out. |

Please guys, I was thinking I could get DHL prepaid envelope from any of their drop-off/pick-up points here in Lagos, but the lady I met there said I can only get it from their head office in Isolo and she said they don't open on Saturdays (I don't know how true this is) Due to work, I won't be able to go to isolo on a weekday. Please if anyone here knows any other location on the mainland where I can get the prepaid envelops please let me know. it can be UPS, FEDEX or DHL. |

So I received a rejection today from the University of Bonn for a course they jointly run with United Nations University. It's an Environmental Science course with lots of internships with United Nations and the possibility of them employing you on a full time basis after your studies. ( I like courses that have compulsory internships). Even though I have not made my final Decision on which school to enrol at from the admission I already have and the ones I am still expecting, this particular rejection was very painful. It was the first application I ever made to Germany and I applied for the course since November last year, so it took them more than six months, a second stage Skype interview (which I believe I did well in) to finally decide not to give me the admission. The decision was really hard to take. The sad part was that I actually met their requirement just that too many people applied for the same course and they only needed just 25 students so they had to just randomly select and reject the others. I was even asked to apply again when the application opens again which means that there was nothing wrong with me application. From my experience, I think most courses under environmental sciences and natural sciences in general usually have limited spaces of about 15 to 25 students per semester. So, there is usually a tough challenge to get the admission especially when the school is not under Uniassist which means more people will usually apply because its free. Anyways, I won't let it weigh me down for long. My interview is later this month, and I need to focus on that for now. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Jigba: I prefer the tone you used here compared to your last response on this topic. Anyone that thinks it's always going to be a smooth sailing from the start to finish will only have his or herself to blame. What we are asking for is an unbaised information on the realities on ground. We need people that will give us a balanced view about Germany that will contain the good, the bad and the ugly - and if possible, how to balance the different sides. It is certain that we all are going to make important decisions before and during out studies in Germany, we just want our decisions to be as informed as possible. Thanks. 11 Likes |

Cay24: Seconded! We used to get post from our brethrens already in Germany about the current situation of things on the ground. I really don't know why they stopped posting. Please, for the guys on ground, we know how difficult it can be to juggle your schedules and still make out time to keep us informed here, but, please, we still need you guys to at least give us updates every now and then. You can tell us about you city, possibility of getting student jobs, how far you have gone in learning the language, your course, general information and myths that need to be debunked, etc. Thanks. 2 Likes |

My interview date is fast approaching. I went to get a WAEC scratch card today, the card they sold to me was the paper type with visible serial number and pin. They said WAEC no longer produces the old scratch card. Please I want to know if the embassy will accept this type of card. The card is genuine, I was able to check my result with it. My only worry is that the card looks so ordinary, it's just a plain paper with the serial number and pin printed on it. |

Kenthumphz: On the third question, about confirming the authenticity of the fintiba account, I think what he is trying to know is how he can confirm, perhaps from the embassy or through any other means that the account number giving to him to transfer the funds to is legit. We all know fintiba is one of the banks the embassy uses, he just wants to know if his own account number is Legit. |

jimnozi: I think it's Univversity of Freiberg that offers that course...kindly confirm because I think you are mixing the school up with Uni. Freiburg which is a different school in a different state. I have admission for University of Freiberg (Environmental Geoscience) so we can relate if it's same school. |
