chrisb2r200: Yea, even though the application number is kinda important, I believe they can still identify my application with my other personal details. Even my email should be enough because they told me that all communication with them will be via the email I submitted during my application alone, and I used same email in sending the confirmation. |

chrisb2r200: Ok, no offense taken. Unfortunately, I misplaced my visa fee receipt where my visa application number was written after my interview ( I must have dropped it at the bank where I went to fund my account immediately I left the embassy). In the mail I sent, i included my full names, date of birth, passport number and date of interview. I really do not know if the visa application number is the only way they can identify my application and if it must be included in the mail. I Will wait till Monday, if I don't hear from them, I will resend the confirmation to the email they gave you. Thank you. 1 Like |

chrisb2r200: The emails I used was posted here a while back. I am asking you because I don't know if that is what they still use or of they now ONLY use the one they gave you. It doesn't take me anything to resend the email to the one they gave you, but if they are still using the ones I sent to already, then it will look like I am spamming their Emails. I don't know why you are kind of avoiding the DIRECT question I asked you - which was if that's the only information or email address on the piece of paper they gave you. Even your reply to me now is somehow. Yea, I can see the email is different but I don't know if they still use the ones I sent to, that's why I asked. Even though I had the emails I sent to, I still asked here to reconfirm but not one replied so I had to send to the ones I have. And talking about the doing the wrong thing, those emails were dropped here and we don't know if they still use it or not. 1 Like |

donwhize007: Dear Thank you for accepting my application and offering me a study place in your programme. I am currently in the process of applying for my student visa and I am in need of your help. My bank has requested that I bring an official document from the school detailing the estimated breakdown of my living expenses for a year to enable them transfer the required funds to my blocked account. An official letter containing my personal details and the estimated breakdown of the living expenses for a year will suffice. I will be grateful if I can be assisted in this regard. Thank you. Warm Regards 4 Likes 1 Share |

chuksey1: You can tell your school to do the calculation in a way that it will include the bank charges by Fintiba or you can show them the document from fintiba (make the transfer) and explain to them that the additional amount if for bank charges. 2 Likes |

olig: The Form A will be giving to you to fill at the bank. The breakdown of living expenses will be from your school, you have to request for it and make sure they stamp and sign it and also make sure they state the correct amount to be transferred, the bank will not transfer anything more then what is stated on the letter. Yes, you must have an account with the bank. You can open the account and fund it immediately and carry out the transaction. Mine was a savings account, but I believe you can use a current account too. You also need to go with a copy of your fintiba account details. 1 Like |

I just received my blocking confirmation from Fintiba this morning. ( I was expecting it on Monday, didn't know they send mails on weekends.) I funded through Form A with Stanbic IBTC Bank on the 28th of May. They completed the transaction on Friday 8th of June(yesterday), almost 2 weeks after applying. They charged me 426.7/Euro. and a service charge of approximately N33,000. So, anyone looking at funding with Form A and is ok with the charges can go to their head office. It is located on the same street with the Germany embassy (Walter Carrington). Will forward the Blocking confirmation to the embassy by Monday. Anyone with the right Email address should please assist me with it. 7 Likes |

ubsilas: Ok, these banks can be funny sha. Some people have mentioned here that that used Zenith bank successfully, so I wonder why they are saying No now. Perhaps you need to go to their head office. On your tuition, since the bank charge has been deducted, it means the processing will be completed very soon. |

ubsilas: Perhaps you didn't explain well to them. Form A can also be used to pay Living expenses which is what the blocked account is for. But, you will need an official breakdown of the leaving expenses signed and stamped by your school for the bank to process it for you. Has the funds been deducted from your account for the Form A schools fees payment you made?? 1 Like |

dayjeee: Bremen rejected me too. I Applied for Marine Geoscience. Their reason was reasonable sha, they said i didn't do Chemistry in my first degree and that's it's an important course for the program. Even though I already hv admission, these rejections can be very painful mehn. |

upkay: Use the checklist from the embassy to arrange your documents. Pack the originals in one envelop and copies in another envelop then put them all in a bigger envelop. It will be easier for you to reach any document when Mr. Paulinus asks you to bring it out. 1 Like |

My Transcript. Had my interview today. I got to the embassy around 5:40am, I met just one person on the queue. Mr. Paulinus arrived around 6:30 am, and by 7am, they called the first four student visa applicants to come forward. We were asked to switch off our phones and he gave the four of us 3 chairs each to arrange our documents in the order he was going to call it out. Immediately he started, he noticed the first guy wasn't really fast, he just started shouting at the guy, telling him that it's like he doesn't want to do his interview today. From the info i got here, I already knew what to expect and I arranged by documents properly before going to the embassy. Mr. Paulinus really frustrated the other guys that came out with me. He even threatened to send them out. Me I was just focused, before he even finish mentioning the next document I have already brought it out. He was now telling the other guys why can't they be as organised as me. Honestly, that man puts too much pressure on people, the time he uses to shout can be used to tell them what he needs them to do. You just hv to be very organised and fast to avoid his wahala. He left the other guys and asked me to go in for the next stage. I went in, sat for about 20 minutes then one guy and another lady that came for family reunion joined me. after like five minutes, they took the 3 of us to another building inside the compound for out interview. We waited for some minutes then they asked us to go inside 3 diffent rooms for the interview. Me: Good morning. VO: Good morning. VO: Have you traveled before? Me: Yes VO: Have you funded? Me: No. she gave me a form to sign and asked me to make sure I fund as soon as possible. VO: What course? Me: Told her Vo: What school? Me: Told her. She now went on to complete my biometric. VO: Lets begin the Interview now. Me: Ok Ma VO: Why this course? I was about dealing with the question when the VO told me that I should just give her a very brief answer, so I shortened my answer. Vo: Why Germany? Me: Told Her. she asked me to keep my answers short again. Vo: Why not UK, US or Canada? Me: Told her, had to give her a direct and short answer cuz that's what she said she wants. VO: What do you know about Germany? please just the key points only. Me, I mentioned while she types. VO: Have you been to Germany or Any European countries before? Me: Germany, No, Another European country yes, I mentioned the country. Vo: What your plans after your studies? Me: Told her. Vo: What's your Bsc. thesis? Me: Told her. Vo: That will be all, my office will contact you via male, have a nice day. Me: Enjoy the rest of your day. My personal observation: I spent about 50 minutes with her. most of the time was used by her for typing in my answers. It seems they have a lot of applications to attend to, hence why she told me from the get go to make my answers very short. If you answer your questions confidently, they will most likely not give you a test even if they have time for it. Be calm, the Interview is actually easy to pass through. 23 Likes 3 Shares |
