Abimbola2018: How did you contact FAU, did you send them a mail or you just checked your application portal ? I sent them a mail when I wanted to confirm if they have received my documents, and they kinda warned me not to send them a mail again about my admission status that I should check my portal. |

Abimbola2018: When did you send your documents to FAU, when last did you check your portal and what's the status you have there?? |

dailydolar: Damn! The deadline for document submittion is Jan 15. Is there any courier service that I can use to send another document to FAU by tomorrow that will arrive before 15th? I would have sent another document via a rellaible source if had gotten this info before now. Nawa for NIPOST o, so a whole month is not enough for them to deliver my documents. Please when exactly did u send your documents to FAU, from your own DHL tracking when did it arrive, and how many days later after the arrival did they send you the confirmation email? |
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by Lalaski001: 5:31pm On Jan 11, 2018 |
dailydolar: Yea, I sent through NIPOST. I just got a mail today from Tu Bergaka that they have received the one I sent to them on the 4th of December. The docs u sent on the 29th of Nov. Was it to FAU? I need to know the particular mail you received from FAU. Did the mail state that they have received the hard copy of your documents you sent through post? I received a mail too from them immediately after submitting my online application. My status on their portal is showing REQUEST RECEIVED. What is yours showing plesse? |

Abimbola2018: I am waiting to hear from FAU too... I have not even confirmed if they have received my documents yet. I sent it since on the 12th of December. I tried mailing them to confirm if they have received my documents but they told me not to mail them about that again, that i should be checking my online portal for updates. I pray they come through, FAU is my first choice. |

Please o, those that used Nipost unregistered mail to send their documents to Germany how did you guys confirm if the schools have received your document? I have tried mailing the schools, but they are saying they can’t confirm that for me due to the volume of application they are receiving. It has been more than 3 weeks since i sent the documents. I really want to know how i can comfirm so i can send another one if need be. Please is it certain that will deliver your documents withing a period of about a month? |

gofaik: Ok. Sorry, I totally assumed you were talking about your admission. That letter is a very important document, so, you will most likely need to correct the typo. |

Jerryzone: Finish your bank opening process... Book your appointment... Fill your visa form and prepare your documents. The documents you need to go with is listed on their website. The amount you need to block is 8800€ All this questions has been answered before, if only you guys can read the previous pages. 1 Like |

gofaik: You can mail the school and asked them to correct the typo and send you another copy. About booking visa appointment, just go to the online link and try booking. Its difficult to get dates, so you have to keep trying. If they don’t respond to your mail to correct the typo on time, you can go ahead with the copy you have. I don’t think it will be much of an issue. Meanwhile, when did you apply for this admission, and Is it for summer or winter semester? |

Immafrank: My deadline too is 15th January even though its for winter semester. They stated on my profile that “your application has saved but has not been processed so far” What exact change did you notice...what is showing there now? |
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by Lalaski001: 1:06pm On Jan 03, 2018 |
Immafrank: Thanks for your response. My deadline is January 15th, and its for Winter semester. The application to the other school (FAU) is for Summer semester and that’s my first choice. I sent the documents to Hannover about a week before sending to FAU. So I wanted to see if Hannover have received my docs so I can be sure FAU too will receive it since the mail was not registered. I have checked the application status, it is not showing me anything that indicates they have received the hard copies of my documents. Was there any change in your own status from when you submitted the online form and when they received your hard copies? |

I really do not know how to go about this anymore. I sent my documents to two different schools on the 4th and 12th of December respectively. I used Nipost unregistered mail, so tracking it myself is out of the question. Now, I have mailed the two schools asking them to confirm if they have received my documents. The one i sent on the 4th said they cannot comfirm my request because of the volume of application they are receiving. The second school asked me not to mail them again about the status of my documents, that I should check my admission status on their portal. I am comfused because i did not ask for the status of my admission, I only requested to know if they have received my documents so I can know if i should send another just incase. Please is there really another way to comfirm if they have received the hard copies of your documents apart from mailing the schools? 1 Like |

Please guys, I made a mistake while registering online for one of the schools i applied to and the school my first choice. The school is FAU, I mistakenly entered my suname in place of my middle name. I entered; IGWE JUDE IGWE instead of IGWE JUDE ONYEKA. IGWE is my surname. Will this pose any issues for me? I have sent the technical support team an email for the error but they are yet to reply. Should i send another mail directly to the school? I need to know if am overacting or not please. Thanks. |

YSPON: I think that should be ok. So don’t worry yourself much. ...this is exactly the issue i was talking about. I am sure there are people who booked the dates in December that you need since your school is resuming in February, and most of them will end up canceling it in the end. 3 Likes |

BabaEuro: Well, I hope others will use their common sense and do what is right too so we don’t cause unnecessary issues for ourselves. Dont book and cancel. Only book a date you are sure you can honor. If you are not, wait till you are. I will also like to suggest that, we henceforth, stop encouraging people without offer letters yet from booking appointments, because it will only lead to issues for others on the long run. 2 Likes |

rossybell: This is not about dulling or being smart. If you see a date that you know you can honor, please go ahead and book. I am talking about those that know they will NEVER honor the dates they are choosing now, they are only choosing those dates because they want to have something to hold on to, so they can cancel in the future and select the actual convenient dates. Now, this doesn’t make any sense, you can only cancel before you can book another date, and once you cancel you automatically fall into the category of someone that has never booked before. So why choose a date you know you can’t honor only to cancel it and pick another date in the future. By doing this, you will prevent those that actually need those dates now from booking their appointments, so they also will be forced to look into that future date you are hoping to book after you have canceled the previous appointment you booked thus leading to panic and unavailability of dates. The Embassy has a policy of adding just a few days to the appointment dates so that people won’t book appointments months in advance. It doesn’t mean there won’t be dates when you are ready to book. I strongly believe that the appointment issues they had for Winter semester was as a result of what I am trying make you guys understand now. It was only in Nigeria that they ran out of appointments dates. We Nigerians like to act too smart at times, thereby causing unnecessary issues for ourselves. If you submitted your admission application in Nov. or December, you don’t have any business booking appointments now because you offer letter CAN not be ready until sometimes in late February or March (if you see dates in late February or March now, you can book, but please leave the earlier dates for those that already have their offer letters). Rushing to book dates you don’t need now will only cause issues for us all. I hope you guys get the point i am trying to make. If we all rush and book appointments now, even some people that may not get admission may book dates and they might even forget to cancel it so as to free it up for someone who needs it. 13 Likes |

Greetings all! I think all this rush to book appointment dates is highly unnecessary. I understand the need to book on time because of what happened to Winter semester applicants. But, it is just too early to start panicking about appointments dates. Almost all schools resume their Summer semester in April. Admission offers will start coming in by January or February, the Embassy knows this, so there is really no need for all the rush. Now, almost everybody is trying to book appointments even when they have not received their offer letters, even some that have not applied to schools are rushing to book too. Really, this will creat unnecessary panic like we are already witnessing. And the truth is that most ppl booking now will most likely cancel the dates to rebook again, so is it really what all the stress? I am a Summer hopeful too, and I can’t book any appointments earlier than February ending because i know it will be almost impossible to get my offers before that time. We really should calm down!!! 7 Likes |

BabaEuro: Yea, I think its more flexible with Uni-assst. But i think schools would accept it too. They just need to be certain that the copies u r submitting has been certified by a competent authority. Even if the name written at the back is for a different school, I don't think it will mean anything, since everything is certified in same way. Its an embassy certification, they respect it more and I believe they will accept it even if it was not originally done for the particular school. |
