She has started the procedure like you suggested and gave her the latter option as the last resort.
Lexusgs430:
By adopting the process I stated, applicant might be lucky to have appeal process fast tracked ......... Or enrich UKBA's coffers by submitting another application........
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Lamakinde(m): 6:01pm On Nov 09, 2018
grin grin cheesy i work late shift so must have been tired to miss that one but not drenched in scotch as stated by Oga Lexus.
yes, sponsor has a UK passport.

Lexusgs430:
Does the sponsor have a UK passport? Has applicants sent documents been returned?

If you checked before sending to Sheffield, check again for stated missing documents. If they are not included, you probably checked initially after consuming a crate of red wine ...... grin
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Lamakinde(m): 5:22pm On Nov 09, 2018
She did but the hubby was applying from Ghana. I was surprised that the data page was not included because i checked the docs with her before it was sent to sheffield.

Lexusgs430:
Snap a copy of the refusal letter and attach. Snap with camscanner app .....

Did your friend read this thread prior to applying?

TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Lamakinde(m):
@ Lexusgs430 and all
I have a friend that applied for the spousal visa and submitted everything on the checklist except sponsor data page but was refused on the following ground

TB test which was included, they claimed it was not included.
And then that she did not put in a copy of her own passport data page as sponsor.

They said all other stuff are alright.

My question now is that if she go for appeal, will the sponsor passport data page be seen as a new document and not admissible for appeal?

you are right sha! grin

Lexusgs430:
Because no one stopped you, does not mean others have never been stopped.....

If you travel without visa restrictions, the worse that would happen is confistication & destruction.......

If you have visa restrictions, the consequences could be severe.......

Be safe than sorry...........

@Justwise, someone did use the local registry certificate on the forum. I can remember that we discussed while i was raising the issue of the court case. And as far as i can remember, the application came out successful because the person quoted our discussion on it but she had already applied then. I will try to check through the thread.

justwise:
I want to ask this question regarding two aspect of requirements:

Prove of English language and court marriage certificate

1.Has anybody gotten a spouse visa with just Nigerian degree certificate without UK NARIC valuation letter? I know we debated this some yrs ago but i can't find current update on this.

2.Local registry marriage certificate..any successful application with local registry certificate? I know the Fed govt won the case but i don't know if the British embassy has implemented the policy.

Thank you

NI thing is quite annoying. Been three weeks I returned their forms now. And the energy company were proving difficult until my wife threatened to cut them off and change to another one. Yet to hear from anyone of them.

joygirl2017:
This council tax thingy you need to strategise on how which you will use for your next application if you dont add council tax which will you use for next application cos you need present I think 4 or 3 bills of your full stay u were in the uk .
I know its quite expensive but I had to add it dont want to go through stress for next stage .

The ni number stuff can be annoying , I was refused a job becos of it despite the fact I told them its in view.
Sorry for late reply

Thanks

quote author=tenyii post=62932219]Hi guys so I’ve been a silent follower of this thread since I decided to apply for a UK spousal visa. Your posts (especially timelines) were very helpful for me and I thought I could help another person by sharing mine as well.

Type of Application: Settlement - Wife (Priority)
Application Submitted: 23 Oct
Supporting Documents sent to Sheffield: 3 Nov
Email confirmation of documents received: Never got one
Application Decided: 26 Nov
Visa Picked up: 26 Nov

All in all took about 1 month and was much earlier thank we expected but we are very grateful to God for how smooth the application process was.

For those deliberating about whether to send WhatsApp messages or what to send for their applications....remember that everyone’s circumstances are different. I feel things like travel history and general background of the individuals applying (especially your spouse) matter a lot. Put yourself in the shoes of the visa officer. If there is something you are uncomfortable about rather than lie or ignore it explain it in the additional information section...that’s what it’s there for. If you have substantial travel history show that that you do...make them see that your desire to relocate is because of your spouse. If you don’t have the pictures put the steamy conversation from your WhatsApp, if not put the pictures you have. Look through the guidelines carefully and make sure you put all the necessary documents to show that you just want to start the rest of your life with your spouse. No one wants to willingly keep two people away from each other if they genuinely love themselves (of cause there’s the bit about proving you won’t be using U.K. public funds for the next 5 years but yea that’s how developed countries protect themselves )

I’m sure all those waiting will have successful applications! God has already done it for us.
Remember to chose settlement - Husband or Wife
Actually we all learnt through reading up because of different circumstances relating to each applicant.
For starters as the applicant, you will need your sponsor to be earning £18600/annum if you are without child or if your child is a British citizen.
With a child it increases to £22,400 and additional £2400 for subsequent child.
Docs from Sponsor and needed by Applicant
P60 of that year
Six months account statement
Payslips
Letter from the employer on letter head signed stating the year of employment, Remuneration
Utility bills e.g.Council tax, energy
Letter from Landlord /Receipts of payment stating he/she is domiciled at the residence and permitted to live with the spouse.
Communication Proof (Phone records from service provider , WhatsApp conversations, Facebook chats, IMO e.t.c.
Original Marriage certificate (Not Nigerian local govt) Federal Marriage Registry or UK recognised.
English language Proficiency (Either IELTS life skills A or if you have a UK degree or You can process a UK NARIC assessment of your Nigerian Degree taught in English)
Original Tuberculosis Test (You can do this at IOM i.e. International Organisation for Migration)
Lots of pictures at every meeting point, marriage pictures etc.
Copies of visas stamp for all travelling to meet.
Letter from Applicants employer if employed
Bank statement( just to show you have a life)
All docs is original.
Lest I forget, docs from self employed sponsor differs a little.

The applicant doesn't need to add his or her own bank statement or letter from employer, the sponsor needs to submit all that.

Tenancy agreement is enough you don't need to add receipt of rent payment.

If you are renting 1 or two bedroom flat you don't need a letter from your landlord allowing your wife or husband to live with you, show me where that is mentioned as a requirement. You only need a letter from landlord in the case of multiple occupation accommodation

Same here @Lexusgs430, called for NiNo yesterday. Bank said same thing that I need proof of address which none is yet to come from bills.

Good Evening all, Please I need Advice.
My son and I applied for UK visa
Did our biometrics on October 3rd, Documents got to Decision making center on 4th. Got a message requesting for my Baby's birth certificate on 20thof October, which I immediately forwarded, got Another message on 21st to resend it, of which I did again. Our Visa was subsequently denied on the 20th of November. on the following grounds -
1. Evidence that our marriage is still subsisting
2 Refusal to respond to the mail requesting for our son's birth certificate.
Do you think applying for administrative review is a better option?
TIA
Sorry, though u were denied but all you need to address is already stated in the notice of refusal. Is there any evidence of support from ur spouse like money sent for upkeep? Any travelling details like visas/tickets/boarding passes to spend some time together? (something to show commitment)
Just state that the birth certificate was sent but seems they didn't get it.
I don't know if new docs will be allowed for administrative review other than at the tribunal. You can give it a shot because reapplying is just too expensive.

Good morning my people, I have been following this thread for sometime now. I really appreciate everyone here.
Please I have few questions to ask;
1) my supporting documents has been returned to my husband since last week Tuesday (7th November). Up till now I haven't gotten any decision made email. And I can see from the previous post that most people get decision made email immediately they returned their supporting documents.
Do I have to send a message on tls website about it. Probably, they forgot to send me a mail or I should go to the embassy to check.
2) Can my husband (sponsor) call home office on my behalf?
Please I need your advice. Thanks
Well, it seems they have a lot on their table. Myself and someone got decision same day and passport delivery. We are yet to get our docs delivered and can't even track online since it is yet to be sent, according to the Royal mail staff. So, I will advise you relax as TLScontact and UKVI don't update their timeline same time in some cases.
