PaulBj:It's obvious some us do not read the existing conversations. This question has been answered on the same page you are asking. YOU DO NOT NEED TO GO WITH AN HEALTH INSURANCE FOR THE VISA INTERVIEW. IT WILL BE STATED IN YOUR A.M MAIL WHEN THEY ARE ABOUT TO ISSUE YOU VISA. WAIT TILL THE EMBASSY REQUESTS FOR IT! |

oladejitaiwo: You don't need health insurance for visa interview. They will request for it when they are ready. |

Bola95: The visa is valid from the date written on the visa. The embassy (Nigeria) gives 3 or 6 months visa. You then extend it prior to the end of the validity at your foreign office in Germany. Normally, when they are about to issue you visa in Nigeria, you will be asked your intended date of travel and other things. The date your semester begins may not necessarily be the date that your visa begins to count. The date your visa begins to count is majorly dependant on the date you did your visa interview and how fast the embassy processes your application. You can not travel before the validity of your visa. |

okpala95: If your school says you should apply through Uni-assist, all you need do is to register on Uni-assist 's portal, apply to the schools, print out your application form and send the necessary certified documents with your application by post to uni-assist. You do not have to send the documents to your school unless they require you send them a VPD obtained from Uni-assist after the preliminary evaluation. I don't have an idea of the second question. |

Abimbola2018: It depends on the course you are aspiring for. If the course is restricted, you might have to wait for as much as some weeks after the deadline but if it not restricted you may get your admission notice before the deadline or few weeks after the deadline. |

dayjeee: Is your school requiring that you upload certified copies? Because the essence of certification is to make authentic the photocopies. In that regard, the certified photocopies and the original certificates are the same. If they did not mention that you upload *CERTIFIED* copies, please upload your original certificates but if they specified, make copies of your original certificates and certify the photocopies. 1 Like |

Bitte, use uni. Some folks have gone for their interview with an admission letter from Studienkolleg, only for the consulate to mail them day/s after that they should mail them the admission letter from the university. ibnkokumo: 1 Like |

Haba Samiey, don't loose hope for a career in medicine. It is not difficult to get an admission to study medicine in Germany as you think. Do you have your WAEC intact? Enroll for German classes at Goethe Institut, Lagos. Start from A1 to B2 (1year, 3months). Once you have a B1 certificate(some Studentkolleg accept certificate of participation from Goethe and) and some request for B2 certificate, apply to as many Studentkollegen as possible and expect your admission letter. I know what I am saying. Samiey: |

Hayor4real: Please note that if you apply for visa for language course does not cover your stay for your undergraduate course. The visa given to you for language course can not be extended after your language course. You have to come back and reapply for students' visa for your degree course. |

Job well done all nairalanders. I sent a mail today to the Consulate regarding Students' visa appointment and got the response; "fully booked for the Winter Semester, you are welcome to book for Summer"!. My enrollment deadline is 10th of November. |
