otokx: We want more goals

Keshi is the boss but cellphone or no cellphone let him deliver......we need to win matches with lots of goals and not score just a goal towards the end of the match and concede almost immediately....let him be the coach and do whatever is right....

It is either you where still very little during 93' saga or you don't have anything meaningful to say angry
Abiola had a National mandate not a regional one like what GEJ is portraying him. sad

All this issue of national figure or no national figure is not much of a concern to me.....is renaming MKO bring back the life of the wasted man or the mandate? There are a lot of other national issues that should be tackled....poverty,unemployment,insecurity etc however,in my opinion renaming Unilag MAU is the least of achievement of GEJ after 365days

hi nairalanders, i am not castigating against any bank here, be it what it maybe, banks are banks and would be banks, what i am just talking about is the ATMs doing what they ought not to do, i was with a colleague today and he was telling me about how his 50,000 was held up by an ATM and he's waiting for when his cash will come back to his account, the senate investigation into ATM crisis is a welcome development, i pray they(lawmaker) are able to make the banks see reasons
Programming / World’s First Borderless Mobile Service:how Does It Function? by landu(m): 11:18pm On Aug 09, 2008
, “This truly is a defining moment in the history of global telecommunications. The connecting of One Network across two continents demonstrates how under one brand, Zain is able to offer enhanced mobile telephony services,

, From today, all Zain customers (pre-paid and post-paid) in Africa and the Middle East using ‘One Network’ will enjoy the benefits of being treated as a ‘local’ customer wherever they are. Customers can make calls and send messages at local rates when communicating with a travelling Zain customer who will receive incoming calls free-of-charge and be able to make calls back home at local rates. Pre-paid customers can also top up their phones with recharge cards bought from either their home country or more than one million outlets available in one of the 15 One Network countries. The One Network service is automatically activated upon crossing the geographic border into one of the countries, with no prior registration required or sign-up fee, www.zain.com

how does this work technically when we have different frequencies across the world etc
Religion / Re: What Is It With The 08/08/08 Madness by landu(m): 11:03pm On Aug 09, 2008
Jids:

8 signify a new beginning; 05/08/08 signify a new beginning in your life that is why churches and the believers are taking this day serious.

2008 is a year with prophetic significance. In the Scriptures, the number ‘8' is a highly prophetic and historic number.

· It is a number of new beginnings.

· It is the number that connects the end of an old phase with the inception of a new one.

· It is a number associated with change, new trends and innovations.

· It is a number associated with circumcision and new covenant realities.

· It is associated with rainbow - Noah, wife, Shem, Ham, Japheth and their wives - eight people started the world again after the flood (Genesis 8:cool.

· 2008 is also a leap year.
- A year for personal and national circumcision
- A year of new beginnings, new trends in transformation
- A year of raising new altars and entering into new covenants
- A year for rapid and radical change in the church
- A year for the development of prophetic stones to throw at Goliath
- A year when new things as outlined in the Scriptures will manifest

o boy where did you get all these from? in that case maybe you will tell me what 07-07-07 meant, where in the bible is it written that 08-08-08 is a date of new beginning?everyday is a new beginning with God, 08-08-08 is a normal date and like any other date, Redeem have their annual convention which holds annually at this time of the year, MFM have their special programmes too, maybe you can support your claim biblically and not link Noah's ark and the new world with number *8*
Business / Re: Banks And Interswitch To Increase ATM Charges by landu(m): 9:32pm On Aug 09, 2008
i am not surprise, why will banks not charge for the use of ATM? the banks need to pay the many unrealistic dividends they(banks) have promised share holders, many banks don't engage in core banking and wealth creation activities as such, they(banks) must find ways of sapping money from the same people(depositors)who keep the banks alive by charging ATM users.

Recently, i withdrew from A GTB ATM with my GTB card on marina, the ATM didn't dispence all the cash, i went into the bank to lay the complain immediately because the withdrawal was effected through the SMS they(GTB) sent to my phone,i have written to that effect and have gone back to the bank severally only to be told that their investigations showed that the cash was dispensed, on the day the event happened, i had a witness (GTB Bank Security Man) who was ready to stand to testify the day the event happened but the officer in -charge said i need no witness, users of ATM beware because they are still investigating the issue and i don't see how the reversal would come after what i had faced with the marina branch of GTB,.

I think the ATM is another way of defrauding depositor because you cannot prove them otherwise if you get your money stock in any of this many ATMs,if one had gone to the counter to draw one's cash no one would have to investigate any matter. ATM USERS BEWARE!!!

More so, GTB will not charge you for using their ATM on their ATMs but will charge you for sending two(2)sms into your phone which in actual sense the sms can just be one and their COT charges is crazy so don't be cajoled by their GTB Max or whatever the account name is.

and by u giving her your email password, does it prove anything?
so because u marry now . . no more privacy?

u can open as many as u like . . its free of charge.

this na true talk, we all need some privacy, after all we are all humans, its not about hiding anything, even if i have a child outside, which i don't, i will never keep my child from my house, for my bank details its not safe to give that to your wife and some are sent to my email address, because if you open new emails,as soon as she finds out, then the real trouble starts the bottom line is we are all entitled to some privacy.
Business / Saharareports: US Govt Fines UBA $15m? by landu(m): 5:02pm On May 06, 2008
Saharareporters has confirmed from US government investigators that the United Bank of Africa (UBA), was fined $15 million for failure to report suspicious transactions to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) due to huge money transfers from the Central Bank of Nigeria. The penalty against the New York Branch of United Bank for Africa, PLC for violations of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) was as a result of the deposit made by Charles Soludo, the current governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria into the accounts of the UBA branch in New York. "The money was assessed to be close to $300 million", according to one of the investigators who spoke anonymously to Saharareporters. Sources told our reporters the money was used in short term investments in New York for businesses that were unrelated with that
of the stated mission of AFC and the proceeds might have gone into private bank accounts.
Further inquiries shows that the transaction came directly from the Central bank account of the Africa Finance Corporation (AFC) of which Soludo is Chairman while Tony Elumelu , the managing director of the United bank of Africa is a director. Other directors of the African Finance Corporation (AFC) include major bank CEOs and Nigeria's so-called "economic prime movers" that benefited largely from financial scams packaged as "economic reforms" by the Obasanjo regime. Charles Soludo, Tony Elumelu (UBA), Jim Ovia (Zenith), Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola and Cecilia Ibru are all directors of the board of the African Finance Corporation (AFC). These banks are supposed to be under the supervision of the Central Bank of Nigeria. Two days ago the US authorities announced the assessment of concurrent civil money penalties of $15 million, against the New York Branch of United Bank for Africa, PLC for violations of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA). The UBA has already made a single payment of $15 million to the US. Department of the Treasury. In what appears to be a continuation of trouble for the UBA branch in New York, US authorities told Saharareporters that they have detected another suspicious transaction of $200 million into the UBA New York branch account in March 2008, the monies were traced to the CBN /AFC account in Nigeria. In July 2007 the UBA entered into an agreement with the US Department of Justice to settle civil and criminal liabilities of money laundering of fraud proceeds discovered between 2000 and 2004 through accounts held at UBA, including that of a company named Zamora. US authorities told Saharareporters that the recent fines by the OCC and FinCEN are totally unrelated to the July 2007 agreement with the US department of Justice in which the UBA also forfeited $5 million. The July 2007 settlement did not preclude possible criminal prosecution of UBA for tax evasion.

I would Rate Jonah Jang 60% he is working hard to undo the damage done by Dariye. He seems committed especially to construction and repair of our horrible roads, crime reduction and prompt payment of slaries , reduction of ghost workers. My only problem with him is that even though i don't live in plateau, I had a headache when i went there for one weekend, he talks too much. He went on and on for almost an hour on a radio show

1.on the issue of workers in Plateau, i agree he pays well
2.but what roads are being repaired please let me know so i can go and see them,
3.is it closing down of plateau state university working hard to undo what the past governor has done, ?
4.is it removing the "Mama Tapgun" the sculpture we all know to differentiate  the  burnt down terminus market working hard,
5.is it relocation of Jos north local government secretariat working hard,
6.is it stoping okada riders by 7pm working hard? what happens to night school student who close by 8pm, e.g plateau poly getting home is usually a thug of war ,

i leave in jos plesae help me answer these  qxns
