You're very right. That's why anytime any day, I will prefer the tested and trusted bezel Redmi Note 5 over any bezeless Redmi Note 7, for instance. (Don't judge me, it's my choice)

The same trends is in cars, car makers tend to manufacture flashier and the ones with many many function but they are very fragile, less rugged and easily damaged. Maybe it's a conspiracy for the phone/car buyers to keep buying more products more frequently as they spoil easy.

You're right, even AliExpress resellers will add something on top too.

But even then, getting this phone for around 10k extra is still a good deal. Xiaomi knows how to capture the market with quality phones at cheap prices

Check the price again in about 3-5 weeks. It would have normalised. Resellers usually hike the price of freshly released Xiaomi phones for the first few weeks.

If quality is not reduced in other areas, this phone will be the best selling Redmi phone ever. Considering the very cheap price of this very good phone.
