Politics › Re: Buhari's Big Ministerial Appointment Mistake by lanrywatt(m): 3:36pm On Nov 11, 2015 |
Lordave: With the history of poor, erratic and unsteady power supply associated with past governments, even Maitama residents would be anticipating the APC trademark 'Change' to sweep across the ministry of power and somehow or anyhow solve the problem of nonexistent power supply in most parts of the country. Alas, Buhari, today decided to name former Lagos State governor, Mr Raji Babatunde Fashola as the minister of merged former Ministries of Power, Works and Housing. From a progressive perspective every sensible Nigerian would agree that this is a very big mistake from our president. The ministry of Work and Housing alone is a deserving ministry for a person of Fashola's calibre and administrative prowess to pilot, likewise Power. Heading the Ministry of Works and Housing in Nigeria is very cumbersome and almost equivalent to the numerous tasks he faced as the Governor of Lagos State were he had commissioners who were accountable to him, let alone Power being added to this workload of a Portfolio. I'm tempted to ask, did Buhari seek advice and make proper consultation before handing these merged portfolio to Mr Fashola? If he did, what were his findings? Which people supported his merging of these ministries?(they should be named so we can know those who indirectly oppose our progress) In a nutshell, it was unexpected, unprogressive, nonsensical and most especially, unacceptable merging of this work laden ministries and handing it over to one man considering the immediate change Nigerians are expecting in the power sector. Buhari should separate this ministries and make Mr Fashola a minister to one of them.
It would be inevitable hearing APC faithfuls say, "after all it is merged ministry, and as such presents a herculean task to the government in bringing a reasonable level of change to what we had in the previous administrations who are responsible for the majority of ruins in the ministries.
WE DO NOT WANT EXCUSES! Oga ADe it will help us to reduce the cost of running 3 ministries... receive sense Jhor PDP hogwash |

I agree with u double dex and u have to understand that the serpent seed message is not for the religious world becos all they preach with there carnal knowledge is Eve eating and apple. no body would believe ur message except those that God is dealing with, every child of God will be taught of God. I have questions for you to ponder over and answer. #1 y did God curse Eve reproductive organ instead of the mouth u assumed was use in committing the sin 2# y did God cover there unclothedness having the knowledge that they were naked from the onset 3# if they ate apple why are we still eating from apple tree today yet we are alive and y did God not curse apple tree. 4# is there any tree in the world today that u will eat from and it will give u knowledge of good and evil #5 why is Cain not mentioned in the Geneology of Adam. to answer all these questions u have to understand the symbolic nature of the scripture, some things are written figuratively. the fact that the world believes its apple they ate does not makes it true, that is just a Roman Catholic doctrine believed by all the religious world till now. the message as nothing to do with ur salvation though but it is necessary for ur growth in the knowledge of God. |

Christianity Etc › Christmas The Truth Or Myth by lanrywatt(op): 3:03am On Dec 25, 2014 |
compliment of d season to every one, I would want to warn us before proving which date Christ was born, I want us to lay aside every doctrine of my pastor say my pastor said and judge scriptures with d eyes of faith. our fathers in d Lord said Christ was born on the 25th of DEC without proving it with d scriptures becos they av no prove wat so ever but by God wisdom and knowledge through research and finding I will want Us to take it with ease before conclusion if it truth of myth
First, we know that shepherds were in the fields watching their flocks at the time of Jesus' birth ( Luke:2:7-8 ). Shepherds were not in the fields during December. According to Celebrations: The Complete Book of American Holidays, Luke's account "suggests that Jesus may have been born in summer or early fall. Since December is cold and rainy in Judea, it is likely the shepherds would have sought shelter for their flocks at night" (p. 309). Similarly, The Interpreter's One-Volume Commentary says this passage argues "against the birth [of Christ] occurring on Dec. 25 since the weather would not have permitted" shepherds watching over their flocks in the fields at night. Second, Jesus' parents came to Bethlehem to register in a Roman census ( Luke:2:1-4 ). Such censuses were not taken in winter, when temperatures often dropped below freezing and roads were in poor condition. Taking a census under such conditions would have been self- defeating. Given the difficulties and the desire to bring pagans into Christianity, "the important fact then . . . to get clearly into your head is that the fixing of the date as December 25th was a compromise with paganism" (William Walsh, The Story of Santa Klaus, 1970, p. 62). If Jesus Christ wasn't born on December 25, does the Bible indicate when He was born? The biblical accounts point to the fall of the year as the most likely time of Jesus' birth, based on the conception and birth of John the Baptist. Since Elizabeth (John's mother) was in her sixth month of pregnancy when Jesus was conceived ( Luke:1:24-36 ), we can determine the approximate time of year Jesus was born if we know when John was born. John's father, Zacharias, was a priest serving in the Jerusalem temple during the course of Abijah ( Luke:1:5 ). Historical calculations indicate this course of service corresponded to June 13-19 in that year ( The Companion Bible, 1974, Appendix 179, p. 200).it was on thus very course of abijah which was stated in 1 Chronicles 24:10 The seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah,"abijah was d ancestor of Zacharias which were to minister twice in a year cos d lot was divided 1 Chronicles 27:1 Now the children of Israel after their number, to wit, the chief fathers and captains of thousands and hundreds, and their officers that served the king in any matter of the courses, which came in and went out month by month throughout all the months of the year, of every course were twenty and four thousand." so it was d turn of Zacharias to minister at d temple DAT year which history pointed to BTW June 13-19 of DAT same year It was during this time of temple service that Zacharias learned that he and his wife Elizabeth would have a child ( Luke:1:8-13 ). After he completed his service and traveled home, d distance home will take about 2miles which will take an old man a journey of 2days home so let say he got home BTW June 21-22 and meet with His wife (sexually) and she conceived according to d words of d Lord
Elizabeth conceived ( Luke:1:23-24 ). Assuming John's conception took place near the end of June, adding nine months brings us to the end of March as the most likely time for John's birth. Adding another six months (the difference in ages between John and Jesus) brings us to the end of September as the likely time of Jesus' birth. I believe with dis simple explanation will now understand d likely month Christ was born becos temperature is below freezing points in Judea which makes it impossible for census to take place at December due to d whether condition I av not come to judge any who celebrate Christmas but always have it in mind DAT Christ was not born 25th of DEC rather let celebrate him every day of our life for d salvation of our soul. bible says d spirit of God will guide us into all truth which include d truth abt is birth. sorry for d long writeup |
