Crime / Re: RRS Intensifies Move Against Cult Clashes In Somolu, Other Areas - Photos by Lapalapa: 3:25pm On Jul 26, 2019
I believe they are just fooling themselves. The police will be lying if they say they don't know where those cultists stay.

Pass through Fadeyi this very moment, and you'll see most of them on the road collecting different kind of tolls from commercial drivers, all the way to Total, just before Jibowu under bridge.

I'm not talking about the uniformed NURTW guys, at least those ones have become a constant face, I'm talking about the dirty-looking rough-faced, hemp-smoking YOUNG boys who have taken over the road. These are the same set of boys who clash over issues like sharing of money leading to the death of innocent passersby as witnessed some months ago.

On a general note, I feel Mr Tinubu has lost it, either due to greed or just sheer carefree attitude. Every part of Lagos is now littered with young boys who have taken to thuggery, smoking every kind of smokable. They are also the ones now issuing tickets and collecting tolls, turning evey portion of the road to bus stop, and causing unnecessary holdups.

I hope he'll be able to call the adult thugs to order and stop them from recruiting boys of certain ages.

Go to Ikeja along around 7pm, and you'll see them in droves just walking along the pedestrian walkway, same applies to Oshodi, in front of Arena.

Isn't it just surprising the the holdups witnessed at Ikeja Along, Cement, Underbridge, Iyana-Ipaja, Church, Gate and even Megida bus-stops (along Ipaja road) are all caused by buses picking passengers along the road in the full glare of LASTMA and police officers.

Most annoying are those police women and me at Iyana-Ipaja roundabout and Megida busstops who hop into Keke Marwa and danfo buses to collect money causing more holdups. Even the police at the police checkpoint at Iyana-Ipaja under bridge now collect money from the danfi drivers in return for allowing them stop on the road to pick passengers, causing holdup that stretches as long as Araromi and Adealu a times.

Everything is just wrong with my part of Lagos, and everyone is to blame.

For being the gender that talks more, females sure do have a way of shutting up when it comes to threads like this.

Which is a pity because the one time you want them to actually talk to either confirm or deny these behaviors... They don't.

Generally it is understood that when women refuse to talk, that is their indirect way of admitting to a thing. Which is in line with everything the OP has mentioned so far... Including preferring indirect communication.

100% correct article.

Very correct. Especially the part of silence meaning an indirect affirmation.

Although, I actually go for the verbal affirmation to avoid stories that touch the heart.

The posts here are really funny

Mine was service year, waiting for that first allawee after leaving camp... Had used my savings plus camp allawee to rent a room

Unfortunately, allawee was delayed. Had to make do with soaking garri n leaving t till t was hard, then mixing egusi plus red oil plus maggi together n leaving the sun to heat t up a little (Northern sun was really helpful)

To that guy that sold the fake hotplate to me, I'm sure God is watching u with a smile on his face

Just finish mine but I no be igbo oh.Anyways, here are the ingredients I used:cocoyam(i boiled and pound like yam),oha leaves, ogiri(my house is alrdy smelling like ogiri),uziza, stockfish, goat meat, beef, crayfish, palm oil and pepper.
After boiling my meat,i poured my blended pepper, crayfish and palm oil and allowed it to boil. After which,i added my cocoyam and covered and allowed it to dissolve. After that,i added the ogiri, then my uziza and oha leaf and that's all.

Thanks for this... Please, must the cocoyam dissolve, as in all?... Then I thought cocoyam n ogiri serve the same purpose as thickeners, can't I pick one without the other?

I'm asking cos I'm not sure I can stand d smell of ogiri

For the spag I used fresh pepper and onions
chicken wings and small left over stew
plus spices
just concocted everything together there.

For the oha soup
you'll need
cocoyam
palmfruits
ogiri
stockfish
dry fish
meat
pepper
spices and then oha and Uziza leaves
uziza seeds and ehuru
what am I forgetting?
someone else should help out pls

If the palm fruit is for oil, can't I use normal oil?

I know of 5 general hospitals that are functioning properly. One of them is run by the Nigerian Navy, another one is run by the Nigerian Air force, one by the Army, another by the Police and the 5th one is run by an American medical company. There are some other general hospitals in rural communities that are also functioning and let's not forget the specialist hospital and the emergency hospital with tens of ambulances.

Yeah, I know of these ones... I mean the ones Rocha's built in each local government.... It was a major point of interest during the building process, I just wantu know if any of them are now functioning

Apologies if *General Hospital* isn't the right name to call them, I don't know what ti call them... But they were really massive like general hospitals sha

I never said only natives developed Awka, I only said the natives are required to play their own part in developing their city. You said Okorocha was not wealthy before he became governor? Maybe you were the one that has been sponsoring the Rocha's Foundation which started even before Okorocha became governor? I'm sure you were also the person that built House of Freda in Abuja before Okorocha became governor? So you think that Okorocha's salary and allowances as a governor for just 1 year is not enough for him to build a hotel for himself? You just hate Okorocha and that is the truth. You want to tell me that old schools he reconstructed in Imo state were only those in Owerri? What of the general hospital built in each LGA, did he also build all 27 hospitals in Owerri? So Okorocha also did not reconstruct any road in Orlu and Okigwe throughout his 7 years in office?

Why is Imo declining in education ranking? Is it also Okorocha that will write the exams for the students in Imo state because, I know that you have already put the blame on the governor? Abia state does not have as much good and well equipped schools like Imo, Anambra, Rivers, Lagos etc but, Abia top WAEC list every year, should we also also go ahead and kill the governors of those states? There is a free education policy in Imo state that was set up by Okorocha for all natives of Imo state, I hope you don't also tell me that the free education policy works only in Owerri?
In Lagos, Ikorodu is the largest residential area in Lagos and also one of the most populated LGA in Nigeria and then the residents in Ikorodu will start disturbing Ambode to make Ikorodu look like Ikoyi or Ikeja or Lekki all because it is highly residential with large commercial centre.
Whether you like it or not, Orlu and Okigwe can never be considered as first choice destination for investors in Imo state except Owerri no longer exist same as investors will always consider Lagos before thinking of other states in Nigeria. If you are so annoyed about the development of Owerri, its better to start calling for Orlu to become the new state capital of Imo since you hate Owerri or Okorocha out of ignorance.
Please give me points that make you feel Okorocha has abandoned Orlu and Okigwe or that he is the reason why Owerri is developing faster than them and please stop talking about Okorocha's property because, that is not your business.

U just mentioned the general hospitals. Please, I'll like to know, which of them have been fully completed?

You people like complaining about everything. So you want to tell me that Okorocha did not construct major roads in Orlu and Okigwe? Are you also expecting the governor to build factories in Orlu and Okigwe? If you think Okorocha is good at destroying Markets and Houses, you need to visit Lagos to see mega destruction of anything destroyable from newly constructed houses to shops, markets etc even without compensation to the affected persons just to construction a road. Your major concern now should be pressurizing the government to complete most of its uncompleted projects and looking for the right person to take over Imo state in 2019 and not all these "one city" complains that you guys are fund of doing. It was not Okorocha that dragged private investors to Owerri, the investors saw Owerri as the most attractive destination for investing majorly because it is the state's capital and most famous city in Imo state, the same thing is happening in Enugu state.

All these is being done in Lagos without compensation, u say Please, let's speak the truth... If ur building is in the path of a road, yes, it'll be demolished without compensation, but if u built in the right way n government still needed to destroy t, ull be compensated.

That's the system here in Lagos. Don't make t look as if there was no compensation.

Back to our dear Imo, I just want to say that whatever project Sir Richas thinks he is doing, the people are just not happy with him, and they r d ones that'll decide who they vote for.

This Okorochas's planned media hype, what can he show other than his Owerri projects - as usual?

Outside Owerri, he can only show his Stadium in Okigwe.

Let him not further irritate the people of Imo state outside Owerri capital territory with this proposed media hype.

On election day, people troop out from Owerri to their communities, see the rot or development in their communities, then decide who to support with votes -
or support through election rigging.

I'm even surprised with all that x being said here. Abi r d projects thTll be used for the media hype invisible projects?

I just don't get t

And to even imagine that it is taking the governor over 5 years to complete two flyovers is very disturbing. If Okorocha does not complete those flyovers and make them functional before the end of his tenure, I pity his future political career in Imo state.

I don't think he currently has any future political career as long as IMO is concerned

This was what i was expecting Rochas to expand and make viable again. Anyone remember the 'ikuola nku' initiative? Whatever happened with that?

And to think that barrel-for-barrel, palm oil is more valuable than crude oil! Just goes to show that, despite the limitations placed on Imo by Nigeria, with a vision-led and purposeful leadership, it ought to be one of the top 5 richest states in Nigeria!

We often moan about how Malaysia came and took samples of our palm nuts in the 60s, and today is making billions of dollars from the entire palm oil industry value-chain, yet all we do is go to Abuja every month, and wait bowl-in-hand for the obligatory handout! Really sad!

Is that pix recent?
