Benevolent sexism refers to attitudes about women that seem positive in tone (eg, women should be cherished) but nonetheless connote inferiority to men based on fragility, lack of competence, or need of help and protection.

Emmynator:
I have completed my data analytics course online and I am planning on sending cold emails to data firms in Abuja to solicit for internship opportunities.
I have the content of the letter sorted out, but I can't settle on the heading of the emails, can anyone with experience on this suggest any suitable email heading please.
Also, do I need to attach a cv? Since I am not claiming to have real experience?
Depends on the platform you are using.

What I did while I was job hunting was to search for startups on LinkedIn using ycombinator, find their CEO, HR or CTO, send them a connect invite and if they possibly accept, you then compose an email with what you are looking for and what you think you can offer, since you don’t know if they have open vacancies and its internship you are looking for, it makes sense to say you are prepared to work for free as an intern (Most startup accepted into ycombinator do pay interns anyways).

Try to keep the email short and concise. You’ll have to try a lot of companies and hopefully one will click.

Goodluck.

There are so many levels of failure that cost the Bucks this series.

I have always wondered if the the decision to sit Giannis in game 3 was the right decision.
The game was lost today where the Bucks were shooting as if the game was over in the 3rd quarter.

Their defense in this 4th quarter is atrocious.

Fayose a sitting Governor actually took out a newspaper advert to wish death on Buhari.

Even when Buhari was sick and was in London for treatment, we knew what the opposition was doing to him and his family. How many people did Buhari arrest?

Opposition has been announcing Tinubu since God knows when, how many people Tinubu don arrest?

Sanwo-Olu went to address protesters and was told to fem and soro soke werey in front of the govt house, how many people did Sanwo-Olu arrest?

Na only public servant suppose Dey get decorum, the citizens can throw decorum to the dustbin and talk anyhow without clap back. That’s one thing I like El Rufai for, talk anyhow and collect back anyhow. Koni dafun public servant.

How you take your time to clearly type this dey surprise me.

When World Bank, and Sanusi said the same thing, were they damaging the image of the North?

If you check my post again, you will see how I clearly said what Obi said was actually factual correct. You’ll notice I didn’t argue with you guys that day because Obi was correct about the North been the most improvised in poverty.

The context today is about how you message and people will have issues with it claiming you shouldn’t have said it the way you did.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by larride(m): 10:06am On Apr 26, 2023
BlueRayDick:
This ur renovation no renovate well at all. Obi said he was going to lift the north out of poverty and create a Nigeria the north will be proud of to call their own.

He said it was an insult and we asked why it sounded like an insult and all he could come up with was that Obi as an outsider is in no position to talk about poverty in the north. We asked him about World bank, NBS and other outsiders that have spoken about the poverty in the north without any promise of doing anything about it; why is he and the other angry birds not angered by their thoughts on the poverty in the north. He couldn't come up with an intelligible response. We all knew it was bias speaking through.

That is what u are lumping up with a public servant doing more damage to the image of the country she's supposed to be laundering her image?

Talk no dey inside this one abeg!
It is not renovation bro. This discussion right now is centered on the principle of not passing the factual message in the right way not on the context on whether the message were factual or not.

So Abike saying some Nigerians going to other countries and involving in cultism and drug crimes is damaging to the image of the country, is Obi saying the North having multidimensional poverty not damaging the image of the North also?

But Abike is the defacto face of the ministry online.
She's also the one that takes the online praise when things are sorted out too.
I don't see apc people reminding people in those moments that it's not her job.
Infact at different times I've seen some apc people feel she is purposely centering herself and taking the glory from her oga
She’s not the face of the ministry, she can’t even be. It’s because the ministry of foreign affairs are inactive online is why people direct all issues to her.

I actually agreed with your last line, she has no real powers like that and shouldn’t be doing as if she did. She’s more or less a special adviser to the President working under the foreign ministry.

liveLongNprospa:
What's the difference between what I said and what you said nau my well respected elder brother 😁
I’m basically telling you Abike has no such powers that you people assign to her. Those powers reside in the hands of Ambassadors of the country and the number 1 diplomat, the foreign affairs minister.

Abike is not a diplomat
She’s not an ambassador
She’s not even a special envoy or something

She can’t even move Nigerians having issue in a location from one place to another without the Ambassador to that country making the call.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by larride(m): 9:30am On Apr 26, 2023
BlueRayDick:
Haba! How can u decide to deliberately misrepresent facts like this ?

How do the two situations equate to one and same ?

Abike is trying to clap back at her fellow countryman for criticizing her job unfairly and she calls her countrymen drug pushers and cultists when she should be laundering their image .

Monerozi is saying his fellow Nigerians are not permitted to talk about poverty in a part of the country because they are not from that region of the country .

Where is the correlation ?
If you go back to the discussion the day it began before it continues to turnonitown, his point that day was the way Obi passed the message across. In fact it wasn’t just monerozi that felt that way, if you go on Twitter on that day, it was the same thing most people from the North were saying.

There is poverty all over the country and Obi would’ve made the same statement leaving it at pulling Nigerians out of poverty without including especially the North even though the statement is factually correct.

It’s the same way you felt Abike who works in an agency under the foreign ministry should not have said those words even though what she said was factually correct.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by larride(m): 9:16am On Apr 26, 2023
I personally believe Abike should’ve sacked that Akin guy (her handler) since sha.

He knows Abike do not even have much powers to do anything when some of these issues happens and she will need the foreign minister and Nigeria ambassador to the country the issue is happening to move into action before she can have updates to give but that one will be moving as if Abike has the powers to make things happen.

The way the message was passed.

You are refusing to get it.
Abike is in the ministry that is supposed to prop up the image of Nigeria and Nigerians. Nobody begged her to go occupy such a sensitive position.
It's like your company's social media admin insulting it's customers because they were attacking it online when the same company has being guilty of not doing their jobs in times past.

How I am explaining this shit to you is very surprising
Abike is chairman of Nigeria in Diaspora Commission, aliasing and helping Nigeria in diaspora is her job description. She’s not a minister, it’s an agency under the ministry of foreign affairs with the major functions of communicating and liaising with Nigerians in diaspora through their various communities and advising the govt through feedbacks gotten from each communities.
