Ibime: Good analysis Prof.
We will now highlight the key tenets that underpin both groups.
For example, if you score 70% and above in the following test, you qualify for membership of ApariSports. Readers should feel free to mark themselves.
If you agree that:
Pep is a God -20% VVD is a fraud - 20% Hazard is a shakushaku master - 20% EPL is a weak league - 10% Cuntay is a local fraud - 5% Beasting finals is the criteria to differentiate players - 5% Anything Airmark says is wrong - 5% Net-spend is irrelevant, only total spend counts - 5% Other interchangeabe criteria as Raumdeuter deems fit eg Belotti, Kychokewack, Boateng, KDB, David Luiz etc - 10%
Alternatively you can score yourself for membership of Citadel here. Anything above 70% qualifies you for membership:
Pep is a fraud - 20% Hazard is a God - 20% EPL is the best league - 10% VVD is a God - 10% Boateng is a calamity - 10% Iniestas is a eunuch - 10% KDB should not be mentioned with Hazard - 10% Anything Raumdeuter says in wrong - 5% Other interchangeabe criteria as Airmark deems fit - 5%
I score myself 20% on ApariSports criteria and 60% on Citadel. Which means that though I do not qualify for membership of Citadel, I lean more toward their views. How about you Prof? 10 for Apari sports 25 for Citadel. We need that third force ASAP. |

Jodera: Can I ask you a question. On paper, the team of Man u 2008/2009 vs the team of barca 2008/2009, at the start of the season, who would you have put your money on over and over again if they were to play that final 3 times? Your sincere answer please It’s like you are forgetting that Man Utd play Barca in 2007/08 UCL semi final match that we won 1 - 0 on aggregate. At the start of that 08/09 season no one could have predicted a Man Utd vs Barca final. A lot of things do happen in the course of the season. If I’m to put my money on the match, it will prolly be a draw. |

elampiro: What about when a player disposed an opponent to score a goal? Or when a player recovers a ball to score a goal? Or when a player capitalized on deflection (off its initial target)to score a goal? Or when a player reads a poor back pass from a defender to the goalkeeper to score a goal?
Any in case, what I meant is that there chances created for tap in, there are chances created for a striker to do an extra labour before he can score. Mane and Salah will more liekly score from a chance that required an extra labour like beating a last man, running half of the field when through, shaking defence, etc Your first paragraph, in those situation it will be recorded as error leading to goal NOT chance created. In those situation, no one get assist for the goal. There’s a reason why there’s chances created and “BIG” chances created. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by larride(m): 1:25pm On Jan 25, 2020 |
elampiro: Salah and Mane have been closed to winning the Ballon D'or but where is any of our attackers?
Salah and Mane >>>> Rasfford and Martial. What I see these guys do, Mane, Salah, Sterling, is their ability to make the opposition defence get confused when they approach them zigzagly on the run. They know what to do where it matters most. Rashford is a very good dribbler on the run, but once in the tight box area he gets confused. Martial is weak far from the goal but a better dribbler near the opposition box with his close control. But none has what it takes to cause the big confusion with swift movement and close control in opposition box area
Missing big chances is not such an important stats compared to creating big chance. A player can miss a big chance he created for himself. Trash as usual. For a chance to be recorded as chances created, you have to create that chance for someone else. Nowhere in the history of footballing stats do you classify big chances created and big chances missed together. If Mané dribbled 2 players to create a chance for himself to score, will they give him goal and assist? Your thinking nowadays is somehow Mr Elampiro.. Chances created in stats means the chances created for someone else to score. |

Elampiro is just busy yarning dust.
It’s easy to see that he doesn’t watch Liverpool games. Imagine talking about Salah dribbling to create his chances or even Mané that has missed 15 big chances was dribbling to create chances. |

A front three of Ronaldo, Rooney, Tevez vs a defense of Robertson, VVD, Gomez and Arnold Midfield of Owen Hargreaves, Carrick and Scholes vs a midfield of Gini, Henderson and Fabinho A front three of Salah, Mane n Firmino vs a defense of Evra, Vidic, Ferdinand and Neville. VDS v Allison. I know which team I will put my money on. |

elampiro: Look at when Messi, Neymar and Surez topping their chances created while together at Barca.
The three of them still came 1st, 2nd and 3rd in Assist that season.
Did they relax and waited for fullbacks and midfielders? Which one is attackers cannot be held liable for failure of fullbacks to create. Where did you learn your football? I should be asking you where you learn your football. All team midfielders and full back play a role in the attacking set up on a team. The full back creativity does not depend on the attackers ability to finish it off. They can be creating the chances and the attackers keep fluffing their lines. It doesn’t change the fact that those full backs are creative. Maybe you need to sit down and watch Liverpool again and see how influential their full backs are in their attacking set up. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by larride(m): 12:29am On Jan 25, 2020 |
elampiro: I think you are confused. You believe more in your self judgement than what scientific proof shows you. Tell me which of our fullbacks take set piece?
First, in football full backs do not have a primary duty to create. In some teams, yes it works but some they are just full backs. Generally, the forward players are meant to be the primary creators. This was evident in the comprehensive list of top creators I posted here few days back which someone else analysed and it showed that a forward player is the top creator this season and far more forward players were in the list. The full back don not owe the forwards creativity. If they create, it is a bonus.Martial and Mata even lost Bissaka two chances the last match and Martial still lost golden chance created by Matic. Read the last line of my last post again. Liverpool full back and midfield contribute a great deal to their attacking style. The burden of creating chances or creativity does not rest solely on the attackers. Go n watch Liverpool or City matches and see how much their attackers misses chances. The difference them and us is that they keep creating those chances. |

Jodera: well, I won't say they are greater than united or Chelsea team I quoted. I said in terms of play, they might beat them, not because individually they're better than the squad of united or Chelsea, but because of the klopp factor. Klopp have shown time and again that he's really a great coach. Even tho you'll say they've not won any domestic league, we all know this season is wrapped up already. Its just a matter of when not if.
Also like I said, I believe(my opinion tho) because of klopp and the style of play he employs, they'll marginally beat man u of 2007/2008. But you see those 2004/2005 of Chelsea, they'll drag it. LOL |

elampiro: You might be right here. Our set pieces are weak. But last season we scored 12 from set pieces as against 4 so far this season. Our set piece takers-Mata and Young have all been around, but what has changed is the people attacking the set pieces.
But he has 3 goals
Dijk is the second highest EPL player with goals from heading -4
Again, we are talking about goals from set piece first where Arnold has created bulk of his Assists.
Liverpool has 12 goals from set pieces while we have 4. All these theory you are writing don't hold ground when it is already established that most of Arnold's creativity is from set piece.
Dilk has scored 4 headers Mane has scored 2 headers Ferminho has scored 2 headers Salah has scored 1 header Origi has scored 1 header
This is not to talk of some other converted with leg. We are talking about the creativity of Liverpool full backs. The quality of their crosses whether set pieces or not cannot be compared to us. Our attack cannot be held responsible for the limited creativity of our full backs. If you watch our matches the way you claim you do, you will know the quality of the crosses we put into the box is nothing to write home about. There are some good crosses here n there but that’s that. I have already talked about our poor we are at set piece both when attacking set piece and when defending it. The crux of the matter is that Liverpool defense and midfield contribute greatly to Liverpool attacking style. Our attackers need such supporting cast. |

elampiro: Anold has 6 Assists from set plays and 2 from crossing. If he played in United, who would head in those balls where there is no Smalling, Lukaku or Fellaini?
If he were in United he would not be said to be creative because no Firminho, Origi, Dijk and co to nod into the net LOL do you even see the way our set pieces are been taken? They are horrible to watch. Origin doesn’t start much for Liverpool, he’s a proper sub. Liverpool full back don’t cross for Dijk when they are attacking except during set piece. Liverpool front three is Mané, Firmino and Salah, compared to our own front three, Martial and Rashford are both taller than Mane and Salah and the same height with Firmino. Maybe you need to sit down well and watch our many crosses Liverpool out into the box per game before you start talking. Mane, Salah or Firmino are not the one responsible for Arnold n Robertson creativity. Put any front three ahead of them and they will still put in those beautiful crosses, whatever those attackers does with the crosses is another discussion entirely. |

Second goal - Henderson assisted Firmino
