If we have just 1 more signing, I will prefer CB to RW, we seriously cannot start the new season with Smalling and Bailey as our reliable defenders.

We all agree that Bailey is our best defender (he spent the larger period of last season on the sick bed)
We all agree that Smalling is bang average
We all agree that Jones is okay but his brain fart is now on a daily basis that’s if he manage not to injure himself in training.
We all agree that Lindelof still needs a lot develop and he’s not at the stage which we want him to be.

So what’s the wailing about us prioritizing the CB position for? We know we have CB issues and it’s a area of concern, if that’s where the manager want to use the 1 signing on, I see no problem with it.

Ed needs to act fast before it's too late...

Most clubs signed it last season so there won’t be issue of players getting distracted when the league has already started. I think it’s one of the reason that made Mou voice out about Ed been on vacation when he should be getting things done.

I think the market will regularize itself, other countries might follow EPL and open their transfer window early since they know they won’t be able to get any player from EPL when the market is closed and theirs is still open.

Doing the right thing or not, Mourinho shouldn't have under any circumstances, revealed to the press that the person who is supposed to be getting things done, is on a holiday.
Everything is all about perception. When you want to buy something, you'd want the seller to know that you have other options. Any player we go for now might be perceived as 'desperate signing', which will put the selling club in a more advantageous position to rip us off.

I think thats what most fans are angry about.

I’m sorry if that post was received wrongly by you, I am not defending Mou here, if you go back to several page back, you will see most people on here including me agreeing that maybe Mou is satisfied with his squad that’s why we have been slow in the TM, the consensus was that there will be no excuse for failure from Mou this season as he has refused to strengthen the glaring deficiency in the team.

Do you know the anger I felt when I hear that in fact the reason we are dragging foot is because the person who is suppose to conduct our transfer activities is on vacation, like wtf. angry

This is not about defending Mou but about wanting the club to do the right thing, let’s just hire a sporting director that won’t go on vacation when we need him to be active. angry

As for your first line, what makes you think we are negotiating with any club? What makes you think we are shopping for alternatives? The man who’s suppose to do all that is on vacation. I’m so pissed.

Is there anything wrong in saying the man that’s supposed to handle our transfer activities is enjoying himself with sunglasses under a tropical beach. Most of our fans have been lamenting about how dull our transfer dealings have been since the end of the World Cup knowing the league will start in less than 16 days or thereabouts. We all thought Mou is satisfied with the squad or whatever not knowing that the man that’s supposed to handle our transfer dealings is on vacation.

As much as the RW is problematic, for me the main area of concern is the CB and LB position (Shaw is not to be trusted as he has his fitness issues and Young is a no-no for me), as I can live with Valencia for one more season knowing too well that we have TFM back...

I sincerely don’t mind Mou bashing Woodward, why the hell is the motherfucker on holiday when the transfer market is open and we are meant to strengthen the team. If it’s to find sponsorship now, the bastard won’t be on holiday. Fucker.

FFK has no shame, don’t be surprised if you see him joining APC next month and start singing Buhari praise to high heaven. Fayose walk into political oblivion has started already, he doesn’t have any kind of leverage anymore, he can’t deliver his local government talk less of the state. I will be surprised if he doesn’t decamp to APC if they win 2019 election.
