Katsumoto: What stats will you use to pick Mikel over Davids? I am curious. ![]() |
coogar: young has more skills in his left foot(that he never uses) than the whole of valencia. ![]() |
darefestus: There you go again comparing apples and Oranges.Nobody is saying DM can do no right, what we are saying is that he has let us (fans) and himself down sometimes with his subs and tactics. Its annoying. |
coogar: jones is suspended - so it's cleverley + anderson & that is 3 points. knowing moyes though - he will play giggs or fellaini.I'd rather us play Fellaini and Anderson. We have to give these players chance to prove themselves. After that last match, i think cleverly thinks to start from the bench likewise Jones unless he's moved to back to his natural position and rafael should start ahead of smalling at RB |
We should move forward and forget about the tottenham game. Next is Everton, what should we be expecting possible line-ups? |
God is good. ![]() |
darefestus: Good point @OghosiSo what actually happens to those players, you say they let him down, why not drop them and use others instead of using them every week out. No matter how you look at it, the responsibility still lays with DM. His tactics sometimes leave much to be desired, even his substitution sometimes are so daft, I'm one of DM biggest fan when he was appointed but i'm beginning to lose faith in him. He needs to man up and take some really hard decision as the boss because when everything is said and done, he's the one that will get the sack letter. The duty of the manager is to bring out the best in his players, a manager that can't motivate/inspire or instill fear into his team has failed as a manager. We need to get back our fear factor asap as other teams now see us a potential 3points. 8position in December is way below the mark for a team of united calibre. |
darefestus: We won last season because non of our rivals came to the party. |
montelik: exactly. 1st half hadn't even concluded and were rushing to scapegoat their pet hates (welbeck, Cleverley, Valencia), while making excuses for those they like.Welbeck did okay in my own opinion yesterday, his ball retention was okay albeit Valencia was clueless with all his crosses, forget about valencia work-rate for second, he should have done better. Cleverly was really poor yesterday same with Kagawa, he was bullied off the ball too easily and moreover a rigid 4-4-2 is not doing us any good, we need our game to be flexible, it was so predictable, ping a cross to the right side and cross from their, so rigid, we need flexibility in our attack and i'm sure Nani can provide that, Moyes needs to start taking risks. |
darefestus: I thought the substitutions were okay except hernandez as he offers nothing with his back to goal.Huh? like seriously? SAF won the league with the set of players last season, how come all of them are not shite overnight and moreover he had all summer to bring him any player he wants but him and woodward abi na woodgoat sef were busying doing economics and accounting with the team. Don't blame SAF rather blame Moyes for being clueless. ![]() |

n0m0705: Where do you guys get this one sided opinion from? Rooney should not drop too deep and be waiting for passes from who? Did you people even watched united matches this season? And if he did that and ended up being isolated through out the match you all will still be calling for his headFirstly, you need your top striker not to drop too deep from the box, how many times did we break yesterday and there was no one in the box, valencia will practically wait for rooney and welbeck to make runs again before he can deliver any cross in but alas the defense would have already organized themselves. With the kind of rigid 4-4-2 we play we need a conventional striker at the edge of the box. That's what I mean when I said rooney should be instructed not to drop too deep whenever he plays as the spearhead, I'm not saying he shouldn't drop back, but not too deep so as not to get us isolated at the front. Secondly, go check my own personal rating for the match you would see I gave Jones more rating than Cleverly but that doesn't change the fact that he was at fault for the first goal. Its suicide for a CB to watch a ball bounce in front of him, if he had taken care of the ball (he would have headed the ball away) Evans wouldn't have fouled Paulhino and that first goal wouldn't have occurred. Jones is not the best midfielder we've got, he's a CB and should be used at that, his main job yesterday like other matches is a DESTROYER which he didn't do too bad but he lacks a sense of a midfielder and as such let's play natural midfielder in their position to prove their worth, you can't keep players on the bench and keep complaining that others are giving you a torrid game. If Cleverly/Jones would get a run of games in the midfield then Anderson and Fellaini also deserve some run of games to prove themselves. If Valencia can get a run of games then Nani also should get a run of games, whatever happened to Zaha. One thing I have noticed about DM is that he's not a risk taker. |
Oghos1: Start welbeck ahead of chicha and get ready for a twitter/nairaland meltdown.Chicha is more effective than Welbeck as the top striker. Welbeck link up play is good but what you need a striker to do is put the ball at the back of the net not run all round the field and falls down whenever he's suppose to do his sole responsibility which is to score. I'd rather use welbeck as a winger than a top striker. |
^^^^^ I'd rather have this line-up against Everton De-Gea Rafael. Evans. Vidic. Evra Anderson. Fellaini Nani. Rooney. Young/Januza Van Persie If Van Persie is not fit enough for the game, move Rooney to the top 9 position with strict instruction not to drop too deep and play Kagawa in the hole or rather play Chicarito as the top striker if Van Persie is not fit. No sensible manager will play Welbeck ahead of Hernandez as the top striker. |
SailorXY: It wasn't too long ago, I was asking why Cleverley is a permanent feature in our midfield...Gbam!!! Give other players a chance to prove their worth instead of using the same player all over again and expecting a different result. Let's try out Anderson and Fellaini in the game against everton. No Jones or Cleverly in that game, let other prove themselves. |
How in god's name will a CB allow a ball bounce in his front thereby putting others under pressure, Jones is at fault for the first goal. I still don't understand what exactly Cleverly offered us as a team, we all saw his potential but after that injury early last 2 season, it seems he has regressed drastically, maybe he needs another loan move. DM should stop his useless squad rotation, we haven't hit form yet and he keeps rotating the squad, find your best eleven and use them consistently to gather momentum and from there you can start rotating the squad, always play your strongest eleven anytime, that's the key, you don't change your team every game no matter how much quality you have on the bench. Valencia needs to sit his as.ss on the bench for sometime, play nani on the right wing for now and maybe zaha, valencia really needs to warm the bench. Can we please have RAFAEL back, he offers us far more than Smalling would ever offer us, he's fit so please play him DM. That doesn't change the fact that DM is an idioti.c manager. |
My personal rating. De Gea - 6, there's absolutely nothing he would do about the 2goals conceded. Smalling - 6, he tried but really needs to improve especially attacking wise, he's more of a CB than RB Evans - 5, he's quite shaky today, maybe because he's playing with Vidic, no one knows Vidic - 5, he's shaky also, maybe he's not fully fit and lack of pace showed glaring today, Soldado makes life horrible for both our CB today. Evra - 5, Lennon and Walker gave him a torrid time today but he did make some few runs of his own. Phil Jones - 5, he tried in his own little way to protect the back 4. He should be returned back to his natural position asap. Cleverly - 1, he stinks all over the place, he should be loaned out to Derby County. Kagawa - 4, he was bullied off the ball several times today and DM reverting back to the rigid 4-4-2 didn't help matters. Valencia - 2, he was just clueless today, with all his workrate, he wouldn't deliver a single successful ball into the box even if he's life depended on it. Welbeck - 5, his ball retention was good and he tried to link up well with others but our wingers today are shyte. Rooney - 7, our best player on the field. David Moyes - 0.1, he's the most clueless manager ever, we are playing 2 - 2 and the only time he thinks he needs to sub is 83mins? That's damn annoying, he should be sacked. Simple. |
dayokanu: If you have any brain you are using you would tell us which 3 EPL teams that have confirmed their progress to the next phase at the expense of Bundesliga teamsArsenal 3points ahead of Dortmund Chelsea(qualified already) 2points ahead of Schalke 04 Man Utd 4point ahead of Leverkusen |
