I'm responding based on the feedback from the assessor even after quoting their guidelines to them.
Can you clarify with the following scenarios (SC) and state whether positive or negative assessment should be expected?

SC1: B.Ed from Tier 1 University =

SC2: B.Ed from Tier 2 University (4 year course) + Pgde =

SC3: B.Ed from Tier 2 University (4 year course) + M.Ed =

SC4: BSc or B.A from Tier 2 University (4 years course) + Pgde =

SC5: BSc or B.A from Tier 2 University (4 years course) + M.Ed =

SC6: BTech/BEng from Tier 2 University (5 years course) + Pgde =

SC7: BTech/BEng from Tier 2 University (5 years course) + M.Ed =

SC8: BSc/BA/BTech/BEng from a Tier 1 University + Pgde =

SC9: Bsc/BA/BTech/BEng from a Tier 1 University + MEd =

The aim is to be able to help as many people as possible.

SC 10: B.Ed from tier 2 university 4years course=

From recent reports, it won’t fly if your first degree is not from a tier 1 university. We even went back and forth over email to convince the assessor to use the MEd and the teaching practice but they declined

I have observed with recent happenings from people who has assess with aitsl that for a B.ed to be assess as suitable it must be from a tier 1 university.( It will be assess suitable to Australia level AQF 7 without needing a pgde)if you assess with 4 year degree in education,it will be assess as not suitable because of not fulfilling the initial teacher education requirements not withstanding if you have a masters in education or not.
For people with B.SC in other discipline but a pgde in education and the 45 days teaching practice ( it will be assess as suitable equivalent to an associate degree/diploma AQF level 6) this information is research from Facebook groups and experience from people who have done the assessment recently .this information is available on their site too if you read between the lines.( see applicant check list on aitsl Portal)People at a disadvantage are those who read B.ed in a tier 2 university

@felixzo1 @tunlex01 so with a 4years B.ed from University of ilorin, 45days teaching practice, IELTS band required by aitsl one can't get a positive assessment?
And please what is the initial teacher education again?

This is not applicable to all assessing authorities and I don’t know if AITSL uses that. They are more concerned with teaching practice. The applications I have seen are from Tier 1 universities so I don’t know if a tier 2 has tried assessing before.

Do you have your IELTS Academic result ready as well?

The IELTS exam is the only thing left and is in pipeline. Currently preparing hard for it cos the bands they set no be here. Will message you once I have that for more guidance.

How much is NIS salary... As ASI you will earn less than 150k naira per month in the next 5 years of your career. As an engineer in the USA or UK in the next 5 years you will live far more comfortable than a Deputy Controller of Immigration. Check the salary of a deputy comptroller again and check how long it will take you to reach that rank. The corruption in the system will break your spirit. Let nobody deceive you my brother.

It is PTDF sponsorship. Even if you refused to return to Nigeria, you have no issues, you will be fine. You are an engineer. There are great opportunities for engineers over there.

Great! What a nice write-up, but come to think of it, how much is this anticipated NIS pay sef that one would be comfortable with, especially in country where the currency is on constant devaluation. We are talking about maximum 150k as salary for B.sc.

You can earn money and decide to sponsor your education anywhere in the world depend on your prorities.

Abroad is good yea, what are the good things there that you can't go and enjoy if you go on vacations?

Being an NIS officer in your home country will make you live comfortably to some extent, no more harassment from police and the likes, you can't start dragging palliatives with hoodlums or live in slums.

And abroad, how loud is your voice if one racist police pin your head to the ground for looking black, who go hear you scream "I can't breath" and save you?

And if you feel/think no future in this country, use the job to fuel yourself and get a 2nd citizen for your kids.

For me I'll rather be a big fish in a small river, than a small fish in an ocean.

There was this girl I was dating in secondary school, and I use to help them wash their water tank just to be closer to their family..
Av tried several times to bleep this girl but she had always been reluctant, untill one day she agreed but the problem is where to do it.
Then suddenly, I remembered that there was this old reservoir tank they were no longer using so I persuaded her to climb it that I will join her in the next 10 mins, so as to keep watch. She did then i joined her.
But unfortunately, while we were busy enjoying ourselves, we did know that someone actually saw us and removed the ladder we used to climb..
Till today I can't forget the shame and embarrassment we faced that day...
