PoliticsRe: Reps Discuss Nigeria's Position On Morocco's Plan To Join ECOWAS by larrytorch(m): 3:23pm On Nov 10, 2017
BigBelleControl:
Morocco joining ECOWAS is a win-lose situation. Morocco is close to Spain and West Africans that engage in illegal migration can have easy access to Morocco due if they have ECOWAS PASS. This will make their run into Europe a bit easier.
However, it will lead to trade imbalance as Morocco will flood West African markets with their goods.
Moreover, their colonizing of Western Sahara is another dent on them.
You should understand that Morocco do not control Spain. Do you think Spain will contine to allow the immigrant of people into their country anyhow? Nigeria is the number one loser. Morocco in Ecowas is not an automatic license into Spain.

I don't think they go for surgery at all. Their legs start to straighten up as they grow older. My friend and his siblings were all born very bow-legged but now you anyone would hardly know.

If the only defense he had was his cellphone, no probs with that. But the question is why release the video to the public now? For what purpose? He just made any chance at reconciliation more difficult. I still believe it was a wrong decision by peter to leak the video. He achieved nothing with it other than add fuel to an already bad situation
There is no reconciliation in sight, for them to have fallen apart again in a space of a year means all is not well at all. An elder bro, who is supposed to be a mediator, is actually their problem. Why show support for one over the other. I do not judge Peter at all.

I guess he felt very betrayed and cheated, and that is why he resorted to public-attention as weapon. And I don't feel he is even ready to settle with his UNREPENTANT brothers, especially Jude.
CelebritiesRe: Paul Okoye Reacts To The Video Of The Fight Between Him, Peter And Jude Okoye by larrytorch(m): 3:21pm On Sep 26, 2017
For those abusing Peter: He feels he's alone in the fight against two strong brothers who do not share views as him and everyone should know that they, perhaps, do not have anybody that can call them to order. Therefore, Peter sought to get the public sympathy as a fighting tool for himself. This move may not be right to some people, however you critics should cut the guy some slacks.

Austinpee4:
The issue of sufficient funds meeting CIC's requirement is unambiguous and clear. Have equivalent of your tuition and living expenses atleast for the first year. The more you the applicant make this fund accessible to you the better especially when using a sponsor. I would say yes, open an account for yourself and if possible a dorm account as funds in convertible currency will show exportability of these funds when necessary without much hindrance through forex policies and all. Your dad being your sponsor makes it even a reliable sponsorship. All he needs to do is in addition to the funds, he should add all his source(s) of income, his proof of employment or business and also add a proof of his relationship to you. (birth cert).

Large sum deposit or as you put it money lodging is when a significant amount of money enters an erstwhile inactive account prior to the application or when funds that does not over a 6 months period give or show the average income of the applicant/sponsor leading to the available balance are deposited without a proof of it's source or origin.

Also, available funds that will meet the requirement can be a one time proof (scholarships, loan, funding, etc). So since you are using your dad, he MUST show he can meet this obligation of sponsoring your study.

Conclusively, have your funds for your tuition and a minimum of 10,000CAD for your first year. The more these funds are accessible by you, the better. In doing this however, it must be logical, convincing and without doubt that said funds will be available to you. Sometimes, it is advisable to pay your tuition and have funds for living expenses in convertible currencies. This will allay any doubt as to your access to funds for your first year.

Regards.
Thanks a lot. God bless you

By the Grace of God I will be applying for TRV soon.

I have been seeing a lot about the financial part of the app on this thread, but there are certain things I do not understand yet. For instance, the sponsorship part: In my case, I'm not the one sponsoring myself but my dad. Do I need to open an account for myself and deposit huge sum of money into it or what? I'm quite confused about that.

Another is that, when is a large sum of money considered money lodging?

Better still, I'd prefer if I can get a detailed information about sponsorship and anything that has to account/finance. This way, there won't be a need to ask any questions regarding this matter again in the future, and others can learn from this information. Thanks.

I need reassurance because I have been freaking out for the past 2 hrs.
on my Canada questionnaire they asked to write down our academic history. I wrote down only one school meanwhile I attended two. one from 2004 to 2010. the other to write waec. I ended up writing the one I attended last, also adding that I attended the school from 2005 to 2011. I don't even know what u was thinking when I did all these but it has been done. I have sent them email and they replied that if they situation comes up they will get back to me. I am so scared right now. please help me with any other suggestions.
I don't have much knowledge about how these things work. Quote Austinpee4, he might be able to give you an advice.

And what Letter will you provide from the school to the VO for TRV?

Don't get me wrong, Canadian TRV is getting tougher by the day and it's been like that for a very long time now. The only changes is that people are now focusing on Canada and makes the application much for them which brings about the weekly fluctuations in processing time.

The best thing to do is apply early and make sure to put up a very tight application, also make sure you tell it to God in prayer if you believe Him. Although those whose application has taken longer time did the same but God knows best.

Do your best and Let God do it at the appointed time.

Do not panic!!
I should have asked "is it possible" and not "is it safe". Thanks for the clarity
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by larrytorch(m): 3:41pm On Sep 17, 2017
Austinpee4:
It is on few cases that application would exceed the processing time stipulated by CIC. Normally, most application are processed and a final decision made within the processing time. So it shouldn't be anything scary. If you intend to apply, apply as early as possible with a complete application meeting CIC's requirement for a study permit.

BTW, there is no way you will start the visa process without being offered admission. You will need the offer letter from the school to apply for a study permit.
Thanks. Fear don grip me as I saw you stated that there are still people waiting since 2016.

i know google before i ask here. At Least your experience will put new comers through.
Start your research by knowing what you want to study. Visit the website below to find schools, then proceed to each school's website to know about requirements and tuition fees.

www.universitystudy.ca

Most of the schools have their respective tuition fees stated on their websites. Mail the school for more enquiries.

I hope this helps.

Although, everyone's case is different but currently CIC dey in power. Anytime you here from them na just your time.

Wait on the Lord my brother, be of good courage and HE shall strengthen your heart. Wait on the Lord!!
Hello o, Does it mean it takes about a year to hear Feedback from CIC? Cos I'm not getting o. If this is the case, is it safe to start VISA process before admission is granted in order to start school timely?

Good morning house,
I need your suggestions and advice. I have secured fully funded m.sc position on vaccinology and immunotherapics at in U of Saskatchewan in starting January 2018. I am gathering my documents for study permit but my concerns are how to prove my home ties and gap between my youth service year to this year. I graduated in microbiology 2013 and did my service in 2014. I worked briefly with a private university in 2015. (Feb-may) before enrolling in m.sc environmental microbiology in one of Nigerian public University.i have defended my thesis but Senate yet to approve my results due to lingering ASUU strike. Currently I am unemployed . I am also worried if the V. O will have issue of me going for another m.sc , what can I use for my home ties and it's my admission letter for environmental microbiology enough to present as time lapse.
Gurus in the house. I need your suggestions and advice.
Thank you
I need to talk to you. Sent you a PM already

I wasn't trying to make a direct comparison between these chips. Just giving you an example. Thankfully, you know they cannot be compared because they are not in the same category.
