@larryblack007, where is your site located. Dat will speak a lot about studies or soil test u have to conduct. And eventually type of foundation to do. U can't just judge by sight seeing.

If you are sure the soil properties are OK and stable. Then you don't need any pillar what so ever.

Nice move, try and put borehole drilling in your initial plan... At most do a geophysical investigation to know the point you will drill. You will appreciate this later.

Blockwork on the 2nd floor now at lintel level, we are making preparation to cast the roof beam and slab that will carry the roofing carcass.

We are using steel for the roof carcass and long span aluminium for the roof cladding.
