Nozino:
Who cleans the office??

Cleaners oo. Cleaners.

You can give one of the cleaners a spare office key as they are usually the first to get there.
Hi Nozino, thanks for your input, I really appreciate your contribution. Regarding the cleaner issue, please can you put in more details?

Question
How to get a trusted cleaner? from a company or a direct person? as there will be equipment and Items worth millions in the office.

You name mentioned of sharing a spare key in other quoted comment. What is the deal, to keep safe?

Stephen0mozzy:
You can run ads on Facebook - very targeted ads sha (You already know this sef as the Digital Marketing Guy grin) - I'll advise you also throw your net open on nairaland threads - Career and Job sections (No need to pay for ads (seun no vex o lol) - but a thread will sort of create a community where you can just hold some mock personality assessment (possibly even look thru the profile and past comments to know the kind of person each applicant is - not the pretend we all do during interviews)

You can then reach out to people who you can then discuss their portfolios (everyone lies on CV).
Don't mind me. I am just eager and open to learn more, inclusive of the input.

About interviewing processes
Thank you for all the insightful contribution. I really gained a lot from your contribution. Anytime this startup is up, I will surely tag you.

May the universe bless your startup with good and productive staff.

I think you should research the current pay scale for the various existing job positions in companies offering the same services as you.
Wow, I'm so glad and God almighty will reward you for your input and encouragement.

Point 1:
Definitely, I'm making arrangements and planning for the good and bad season for effective working environment. This is my third year handling the whole work, so it's time for expansion at my capability and giving back to the community/Nigeria.

Point 2:
Regarding a cleaner service, I might be able to afford this but the time might be at stake. Is there any recommend time? I'd go with the option 2, if this is hard to handle.

Questions
How to get Workers from the same field in the same region and how to go about interviewing them, to know, if you are up for the work, even if you are less experienced but ready to learn.

Which of this will be more effective? placing an ads on Facebook or Nairaland for workers?

Regarding your last statement
About how you should behave........

I really appreciate everything you wrote and I will surely do that. I'm grateful and thanks once again.
CareerI'm Starting A Mini Digital Marketing Company, I Need Advice On Salary, Workers by Lastlook(op):
Hi friends,

I'm starting a mini digital marketing company. I was worried about few things regarding the listed issues below. The office, I'm setting up is kind of like digital marketing company but i'm focusing on many different niche just to keep the revenue coming although i have my main platform which i focus on while diversifying into different niche to increase incoming.

I was planning to pay 60k to 100k per month for each workers, 8 to 9am to 5 to 6pm monthly which i am planning to employ mainly 4 to 5 at a start and expand, if things looks good aftermatch.

Worker's are to:
1. One will be a graphic designer for our social media platform, and many others may involve which also related to his/her main work etc...

2. Three workers will focus on writing content, doing research, business opportunities and to increase the user's engagement, including traveling interstate and also an affiliate summit abroad for recognition (The pay will be better than the rest and increasing every 6 months interval as along the company grow, same for the rest worker's too.) Please remember I'm on a Zero level here. They will have no idea of the abroad recognition but only interstate as things might go north, which I rejected.

3. The last will see to customer support, users care, handling issues, and daily report to me.

4. My job is to see to the development of everything we might be handling, making sure no issues and the software programming.

My friend's input was the money to be paid is too much for that kind of works.

P.S: I know many people's here are experienced, please your guildline is needed, thanks.

I need advice on the listed points below because I have no experience regarding it.

My List

1. Salary is not fixed, might increase but it will never reduce from the intial agreed terms.
2. How to get Workers from the same field in the same region and how to go about interviewing them, to know, if you are up for the work, even if you are less experienced but ready to learn.
2i. Which of this will be more effective? placing an ads on Facebook or Nairaland for workers?
3. Making the environment lively without disrespecting but focus. (I'm currently 32 but crazily young like 18 yrs old )
4. Who clean the office?
5. Who handle day to day opening/closing of the office, as I might always come late to work.
6. How should i behave at work? I love to be cheerful, encouraging, pulling the goodies out of people but at the other hand, I don't want that to be taking for granted.
7. Do I need a lawyer?

I saw this thread on a popular digital marketing forum which i will not like to mention.

"Now i can proudly reply to the threads on BHW about the millionaires routine and work life balance."

"I will soon change my username to King Negi."

This was my input:

"Must you always tag everything on "Nigerian" is it only Nigerian who does scam? What about India's, USA, Pakistan, even every countries does this... the hate and racisms is just too much and you are always happy to it.

Everything is not Nigeria my friend. Let who's country never commit a crime or scam cast the first stone."

I was badly hurt because most of this crime or fraud are mostly not done by Nigerians but we are always the number one to be tagged by those racist.

Bad or Good, let us always protect our images and name online.

Laws; those rules and standards that govern our behaviors. Most are practical, but some strike one as funny and impractical, or at the least very weird. Check out these 15 weird laws and customs in some places.

1. In Russia, you cannot brush your teeth more than twice a day.
The valetudinarian that cares too much about his teeth would run into trouble in Russia, as the law does not allow people to brush their teeth more than twice a day. How would they know if you did break this rule?

Leave that to them.

2. In Switzerland, you can not flush your toilet after 10 pm.
You wake up at midnight with a bad stomach, but you're in Switzerland. Sorry friend, the law does not allow you to flush your toilet after using it. You would have to leave the whole thing till the next morning.

3. In Toronto, Canada, you can not climb a tree.
So you love climbing trees and enjoying the view from up there? Say goodbye to your hobby the moment you get into Toronto.

4. In Argentina, you can not name your child "Messi"
There's no football fan that does not at least admire the skill of the veteran, Leonel Messi. You can show your love for him in many ways, but in Argentina, the star's hometown, you can not go as far as naming your child Messi. You would be compelled by law to change it.

5. In Mexico, there is a list of 61 names that you can not name your child.
While Argentina only bans you from using one name for your child, Mexico made a full list of 61 names that you must never name your child. The names include Batman, Hitler, Rambo, James Bond, Facebook, Twitter.

6. In Georgia, your chicken can not cross the road.
No, this is not because anyone would steal your chicken. The government of Georgia just wants you to keep your chicken out of harm and protect the public peace. Expect a fine if that rooster of yours gets bold enough to cross the road to get to the other side.

7. In Singapore, you can not chew gum.
So you cannot go a day without gnashing your teeth on that unlucky piece of gum?
You ran out of luck the instant you stepped into Singapore, for the government bans the manufacture, sale, purchase, and consumption of chewing gums.

8. In Norway, you must accept a fistfight challenge or pay a fine.
If you hate boxing, or simply do not want to put yourself in danger, then you might get into trouble in Norway. If a person challenges you to a fistfight and you decline, then the law requires you to pay a fine of four deer.

How would you get a deer? You might wonder. Relax, the law has not been practiced for decades now.

9. In Spain, you can not build castles in the sand.
Warn your kids against building Sandcastles in Spain. You would be fined if the authorities get wind of it. This law is also in place in Eraclea, Italy.

10. In Rome and Turin, you must walk your dog every day.
The Italians must care a lot about their dogs because, in two of their cities, you must take out your dogs for a walk ---Everyday.
The law is even worse in Turin, where the walk must me three times a day. That's a heck of a work. Think twice before getting a dog in these two cities.

11. In Scotland, you must let a stranger use your toilet if he knocks on your door and asks.
The Scots must be very hospitable. The old law of theirs make obliges you to allow a complete stranger to use your toilet if he knocks and asks.

12. In Huntington, West Virginia, you can beat your wife in public on Sunday.
This is perhaps the weirdest and most sexist law you have ever heard of. So long as it is in public and on a Sunday, people of Huntington can beat the crap out of their wives.

Why would they do that?

Education15 Bizarre Facts About North Korea You Don't Know About - Number 7 will shock U by Lastlook(op):
North Korea is famous for many things, from nuclear powers to weird customs and leaders. Here is a list of some of the most fascinating yet frightening facts about the isolationist country.

1. North Korea uses a different dating system.

While the rest of the world is in the Year 2021, North Koreans use the Juche Calendar and are in the year 110. Although not adopted until 1997, The Juche Calendar begins at the birth of the first founder, in 1912, which is counted as Year 0.

2. Highest number of military personnel.

Despite being a relatively small country, North Korea boasts of the highest number of men and women in their military workforce. In terms of the strength of their active-duty personnel, they are ranked fourth in the world.

3. Taekwondo, now an Olympic sports game, originated from North Korea. While China and Japan boast of Kung Fu and Karate respectively, the art of elaborate kicking techniques belongs to the Koreans.

4 Caste System

North Koreans are divided into three based on their status in society: Tomatoes, Apples, and Grapes.

That's right, and it's named after fruits for some reason. Red is the color of Communism, so as tomatoes are red outside and inside, the term is for those of high status. Politicians and high-ranking military personnel make up this elite class.

Next are the Apples. Red apples are red on the outside, but not on the inside, so the term is for the common civilians.

Coming last are the Grapes, who are the delinquents and the lawbreakers of the society. Certain rights are available for the Tomatoes; rights which the Apples and Grapes may not enjoy.

5. Tunnels into South Korea

Everyone knows of the eternal discord that exists between the two countries of North and South Korea. Presently, both countries have ceased fire, and for the time being, no direct act of war is allowed from any of the two.

Even so, South Korea has discovered 4 tunnels that the North Koreans have dug into their country. These tunnels are so big that they can easily accommodate 30,000 soldiers and transport them all the way to the South in little time. It is believed that there are 20 more of these tunnels.

When asked about this obvious violation of the rule, North Korea claimed the tunnels were for mining coal, even though there was no coal in the area.

Outrageous!

6. Kim Dynasty

North Korea is ruled by the Kim Family, which is the ruling family. The role of president has been passed down from father to son over three generations now.

The most ridiculously absurd thing about them is the biographies written for the two past leaders. It is published in North Korea that the founder, Kim Jong Il walked when he was three weeks old, and could drive a car by the time he was 3. What's more, he had the power to change the weather conditions based on his moods.

7. North Korean elections.

Funny enough, North Korea holds periodic elections, once in five years. The funny part is that only one candidate contests for the election, who is no doubt the well-known Kim Jong Un.

8. North Korea has only three TV channels.

The government controls the media fully, and as such, they're only three TV channels, which of course only display shows about government propaganda and patriotism to North Korea.

At a point, the government kidnapped a South Korean movie director and made him make rip-offs of popular conventional movies like Godzilla, using Korean style and surely, advocating North Korean policies.

9. Internet access.

Have you ever chatted with anyone from North Korea? Certainly not.

The country has a very limited number of websites and IP addresses, and the information network is governed and strictly monitored by the country. What's more, you need to have a license before owning a computer.

10. Limited number of haircuts.

As men, you can only choose one of the 10 approved haircuts, and as women, you may choose from 18 approved haircuts. Disobedience is seriously punished.

11. Jeans are prohibited.

You can't just walk about in Jeans and expect not to be duly prosecuted. It is believed in North Korea that Jeans are symbols of American style, and as such are strictly banned.

12. There's Generation Punishment

Perhaps the most bizarre rule is the policy of three-generation punishment. Under this policy, you could be jailed in a brutal labor camp for a crime committed by your grandfather or your nephew.

Imagine spending years in a labor camp because your cousin put on Jeans.

13. Principle of Self Reliance.

North Korea is governed by the Juche Principle, which emphasizes the importance of self-reliance. In that way, North Korea does not seek assistance or engage in any mutual relationship with any foreign country.

14. Poverty and Corruption in North Korea.

Yes, many parts of North Korea are drowning in poverty, and have suffered many famines, owing to the lack of enough natural resources in the country. Admittedly, the nation has a 99% literacy rate, which is quite an achievement.

15. Death penalties.

Like many other countries, death penalties are still in use in North Korea.

Yet North Korea remains unique, in that it can exact death penalties for even crimes considered minor by the rest of the world.

Such crimes that have resulted in death penalties include defecting and the possession of the bible.

This brings us to the end of this list of bizarre facts about North Korea. You could go on and on, but let's take a break here.

Education10 Distinct Things You Probably Think Are The Same by Lastlook(op): 9:03am On Dec 08, 2021
You probably think you're a genius to some extent, but you would be embarrassed by how much you don't know. More embarrassing is knowing the opposite of a matter while not realizing your ignorance.

A lot of people confuse things together. Some know there are differences, but can't exactly say. Some others do not even realize the differences.  So, have a good read.

1. The United Kingdom and Great Britain.

Great Britain refers to the countries of England, Scotland, and Wales. The United Kingdom on the other hand includes England, Scotland, Wales, and then Northern Ireland.

Note that Northern Ireland is distinct from the Republic of Ireland, which is another country on its own.

2. Cement and Concrete

Except you're a mason or an engineer, there is a great chance you do not know the exact difference between these two.

Cement is largely gotten from limestone and exists as fine powders before use. When mixed with water, it becomes a binder, an adhesive used in building constructions.

What about Concrete?

Concrete contains sand, crushed stones, water, and then cement. Yes, the cement is only a part of concrete. Unsurprisingly, concrete is stronger and more durable than cement.

3. Tablets and Capsules.

Now even those in the medical line get this missed up sometimes.

First, tablets and Capsules are both types of pills, even though some may argue that only one of the two can be called a pill.

Be that as it may, there is a clear distinction between capsules and tablets.

Capsules come in small cylinders made of dissolvable gelatin. Inside the contains are the medications, which may be in powdered or jelly form. After taking, the casing dissolves, and the medication is assimilated into the body.

Tablets however are powdered medications that are compressed to form a compact mass, rather than stored in casings. While most capsules come in different colors, tablets are usually of a single color.

4. Weather and Climate

Geography students sure know the difference between these two. How about the rest of us?

Weather is the atmospheric conditions of a place over a short period of time. The weather can be sunny or rainy as the case may be.

The climate, on the other hand, has a broader scope. In a way, we can say that climate is the average weather condition of a place over a long time, which is usually 30 years.

So, weather can change in a day, but the climate is for a much longer period of time.

5. Cupcakes and muffins.

You may think you know this already, but I bet you've got it the other way round.

Muffins are like sweetened bread and buns served in little round containers. Muffins are, though delicious, are without icing on the top.

Then there are cupcakes. Cupcakes contain icing on the top and are generally more sugary than muffins. Even though some expert caterers say that the real difference is in their method of preparation, the icing-on-top is undoubtedly a distinguishing factor.

6. Butterfly and Moths

Both are arthropods with large wings attached to both sides of their abdomen.

But here are the differences.

Butterflies have much more colorful wings and are active during the day.

Moths have darker and less conspicuous wings, as they are active at night. Additionally, moths layout their wings horizontally while resting, while butterflies raise theirs vertically as they rest.

7. Crocodiles and alligators

Vicious reptiles, no doubt these two are.

But there are differences.

Crocs are generally bigger and longer than gators. Additionally, crocodiles are not as dark-colored as alligators are.

Then there's the difference in the shape of their snouts.

While crocodiles have V-shaped snouts, gators are with U-shaped snouts

Also, crocs are far more aggressive than alligators, even though gators have the speed advantage.

8. Frogs and toads

We have spoken of animals that look are alike but are nonetheless different, so we might as well look into frogs and toads.

You would spot easily by those big bulging eyes of theirs, even though toads are generally bigger. Also, frogs and slender but more powerful legs that they use often, while toads have shorter legs that are rarely stretched.

Lastly, frogs and smooth, moist, and slimy skin, while toads possess rougher, thicker, and dry skins.

9. Mass and weight

A physics student would tell you the difference right away.

Mass refers to the quantity of matter contained in a body. Weight, on the other hand, is a product of force and acceleration due to gravity, which is approximately 10m/s² for the earth.

However, outside the scope of physics, these two terms are used interchangeably by most.

10 Graveyards and cemeteries.

You bury the dead in both does not necessarily make them the same. Graveyards are attached to a church, or at least adjacent to a church. In Old England, people were buried in these graveyards near the church. As more people died, there arose a need to acquire new land for burial, and there comes the cemetery. So, graveyards are attached to churches, while cemeteries are not.

This brings us to the end of the list. I hope you had a good read, and of course, gained one or two things from this.

Recommendations here would confuse you. By the time the thread gets to page two, you will realize that all food has been condemned, lol.

Just observe yourself as you eat. Note whatever strikes up the pain and always remember to avoid it.

The important thing to not skip meals, and eat in small quantity several times in a day.
