Op, I had a similar experience with a girlfriend. this girl came to my house to cook rice, after making rice that's enough for two people, she ate out of it in my apartment, and then scooped the remaining into a take away pack and left without leaving anything for me. Shock is an understatement to describe the experience that day. funny enough, I provided the money and everything she used to make the rice.

When I was 23 years, I gave my all to the relationship. Girl stays in abeokuta while I stay in Lagos. I will find time at least once a month to go see her in abeokuta. I spent my last card on several occasions. But thanks to God, The experience made me wiser.

Had plans with this "friend" to start selling makeup products in school.
Struggled and gave her 38K
few days later she told me the money was stolen,
was so down cause i remembered the stress of getting the money,
at the same time i consoled her.
Later found out from our mutual friend that the money wasn't stolen and infact she bought the products and was selling to students already,,
To say i was shocked is an understatement.
I was flabbergasted.
Confronted her and she blatant denied,
she later confessed after series of persuation and promised to return the money and she never did.

ha..ha..people can be very crazy...they dont just think about another day when they might really need someone's help. anyway, like the saying goes : karma is a bitch.

Mine happened in when I came back from Nysc in nasarawa state. There was this unemployed neighbor in my house, he wanted to get married, though we were very close about two weeks to the day of his introduction he is yet to make any adequate preparation because of lack of cash, mean while about 1 and half month to the day of introduction he started begging me to help him with 30k ... every day and night he kept on begging until about 2 weeks to the day of introduction and then I decided to help him by giving him the cash with guarantee that he will pay within 2weeks from some sources well Known to me that he can surely get money..fastfoward to two weeks after the introduction, story changed. Tell date , he is yet to pay back. Considering how he begged and begged and I decided to help him, It is really painful.

It really depends on the organisation, there is no standard. Audit firms apart from the big 4( delloite, KPMG, Ernst & young, PWC) tends to pay low most especially if you don't have prior experience cos they believe they are training you and you can always get away easily when you get the experience.
But other organizations like banks, insurance coys, oil coys, trading coys etc tends to pay higher.

This thread is about mutual funds but so much emphasis is being place on money market funds which is only one type of mutual funds, there are other funds performing better than money market funds, for example balanced funds, balanced fund is a type of mutual fund which is structured to invest into real estate, money market and equity, I know a balanced fund that has Performed above 20% year to date.

I strongly believe equity funds would outperform money market funds between now and March next year, equity funds could do 10% net not P. A.
My reason is as rates come down investors would move to the equity market and as demand increase prices of stocks would increase leading to equity funds performing better

Please can you share info with us on the balanced funds that performed 20% to date.

Can someone kindly explain to me how Stannic Money Market fund daily interest is calculated. I did a little investment but am lost with the calculation. I also saw a little addition to my account apart from the interest. I dont know the basis of the calculations.
