hamilton62: he uttered a word for his people to kill those who are killing them... h. never asked for the killing of the innocent, he uttered words for the self defence of his people, gush! this fraud called Nigeria has got gullible majority because I know some people comprehend English... watch his video where he was filmed soliciting for arms and he spoke the reason why the arms are needed and it was nothing but for self defence because they are invading our homes, rapping our mothers, wives and sisters, killing our sons, brothers and friends with the help of the their feds and their elites because non condemned nor call for investigations which confirmed that it is a planned act that is the reason of them being mute and numb... I can never ask you to get sense, for the gullible because you can never give what you don't have to anyone even to your heirs.... Nnamdi Kalu is too smart and brave... Let the true rule of law have its play then you will see how stupid your feds and the so called elites are... and that is the reason why you will still be in this septic tank called Nigeria because a blind can't lead a sane man!
Stop lying!! He asked for arms and stated that his people should kill others from different ethnic groups. He said it clearly on Radio Biafra! So what misguided tales-by-moonlight are you yarning here...
July 25, 2015 – Video: Biafra Radio Founder Nnamdi Kanu Threatens Nigerians With With Bomb, Bloodshed & War
UK based Nigerian man, Nnamdi Kanu, the founder of Radio Biafra has finally crosses the line.
Mr Kanu who is likely to be arrested any moment from now has threatened Nigeria with war.
In an exclusive chat with Saraha TV, Nnamdi said: “‘If they fail to give us Biafra, Somalia will look like a paradise compared to what will happen to that zoo. It is a promise, it is a pledge, and it is also a threat to them [Nigerians]”
Here is another excerpt from his broadcasts and interviews conducted 2 years ago. After reading this, you will understand why any sensible President should keep Kanu in jail, and throwaway the key!
According to him: “There is no going back, by December 2015, Nigeria would have seized to exists; we shall fight until we get Biafra, if they don’t give us Biafra, no human being will remain alive in Nigeria by that time; we shall turn everybody into corpses; you better go and buy your coffin”.
"Nigeria has no choice because Biafra will come on or before December 30, 2015".
Nnamdi Kanu has shown his readiness to fight until the Republic is realised made this declaration on May 30 while speaking at the maiden commemoration of Biafran Day held at Ngwo, Enugu State.https://www.naij.com/67388.html
oluwaahmed: I jst wish my fellow Afonja leaders can hav @ least 2% bravery like dis great nnamdi kanu. I mean ow long are we gona be lickin hausa/fulani arse? because of money?? Guy, why you dey fall my hand like dis? You just blew your cover by using the words "my fellow Afonja leaders." Those of us who are not even Yoruba can easily see through you, sef....
eph12: Na better cloth dem dey wear for prison o. Na even biafra cloth sef
Nah!! He is actually wearing a kaftan that is similar to the ones worn by his Hausa and Fulani taskmasters. The coloured strip on the outfit, is just a camouflage.
IPOB123london: ...anyway few days to 2017 afonjas just accept the simple truth; we are completely different and too advanced to be living in this useless kwotury with you
You are just too hilarious for words!! Do you want those people you are referring to as Afonjas to enter here now, and call you Osu??! And do you want them to ask you what you are still doing here in this country, after you have said you are too advanced for them?
CHESTER48: This post is so awesome. Nonsense education. Where are the PhD holders and the master holders. Where are the first class now? But an uneducated man is your president and you call education success to life. Grow up
It is easy to spot people with small shallow minds, when they are talking.
Bitchvibe: As much as I like your post, let me state some facts: if you graduate with a 2.2 or 3rd class, you can never ever work in a multinational company.
You can't directly do your masters in Canada, you must do pre degree of some sort. So many perks comes with good grades but it doesn't guarantee any success and financial freedom. Schools train you to be experts in a field, the rest should be done by our parents and self discovery.
The fault lies with Nigerian schools not schools in the western world that equip their students mentally. The greatest fault lies with Nigerian parents as they have failed to educate kids on financial freedom and how to make it in life. The rich parents are busy giving hand me downs to their kids. How many rich kids have successfully founded their own companies, they always take over. The poor parents are too religious and leech off their kids who would go to any length to belong to the upper class, most not all.
If you have a 2.2 or a 3rd class, you cannot work in a multinational company?? Where did you hear such fallacy?? I know chaps with 2.2 and 3rd class degrees that have worked successfully in multinational firms. One of them not only worked for a multinational financial institution, but was also transferred to different countries by the same company, to carry out various assignments on their behalf!
What matters most are the skill sets you bring into that company, and how quickly you are able to learn and adapt to the firm's internal structure, by meeting your deliverables.
Seasoned HR practitioners (not the lazy ones who rely on recruitment apps and your social media profile to hire you), look at more than just the class of degree you graduated with, in order to hire you. At the interview stage, a lot of factors come into play before a hiring decision is reached.
I have had cause to interview graduates who left school with a 2.1 degree and I have been less than impressed, in many cases!
femimighty: But I have been enjoying 3 days uninterrupted power supply in my neighborhood.I want to believe it's same in most places in Lagos.
If you believe that, you would be totally wrong!! From Ajah to Okokomaiko, or from Ikorodu to Abule-Egba, or from Badagry to Epe, or from Ajegunle to Igando, how many people can tell you they have enjoyed uninterrupted power supply for 3 days in a row?
mapet: ....and who bears the cost/margin of the "robust technology" at the end of the day?
What a funny question! The Disco, of course. You got to spend money, in order to make money..not so? And most companies who seek to improve their business operations, usually invest in research & development in order to perform better, meet the needs of their customers more efficiently, or simply beat the competition, at their own game. It is a fact of business.
ernieboy: who owes them huge amount? in my location l don't get light for more than 3 hours in a day and some day nothing, but they still bring exorbitant bills and ask us to pay for power we never used. that's daylight robbery.
The bulk of the bills are actually owed by govt agencies, parastatals, ministries, barracks etc. And those are the consumers the Discos should focus attention on, in order to retrieve their money. Residential customers do not owe the Discos as much as govt agencies do.
ayobase: Outrageous bills most times to augment what's lost as a result of atc&c loss - mostly from consumers, Nigerians.
There is never a smoke without a fire.
You have a neighbour who uses over N10,000 worth of electricity per month, but pays a token of N2,000 due to bypassing. Where do you think the 8k dey?
Report that your neighbour, and the corrupt "NEPA" man who helped with the connection.
So is it right to punish the innocent, for the sins of the guilty? The Discos do not realise that this method breeds resentment in the hearts and minds of those who receive such outrageous bills, especially when it is so easy to tell that the power supply they have received in a particular month is NOT commensurate with the bills, they have been given. So of course, they might decide not to pay or to challenge such bills.
This is how we were given a bill of almost 65,000 naira in my family house on the mainland once, and I went to Eko Disco office to lodge a complaint. Before then, the average monthly bill was like 7k - 8k. And there was nobody living in the building except a security guard/caretaker. The Marketing Manager admitted clearly that they made an error in their calculation of the estimated bill, but told me flatly there was nothing they could do about it. I should just pay the bill.
Well since I am not a politician or a Naira-bet pools agent with excess cash, I declined. They disconnected power from the house for over 8 months, and I ignored them. There was no one living there anyway, just a caretaker.
We are still dragging the matter till today and exchanging plenty grammer, as we speak.
preacherz: 90% of prepaid meter users in the Country bypassed their meter
Now ask your self if you are a part of this 90% before making hypocritical comments
Udo
Big fat lie!!These Discos keeping seeking excuses to cover up their lapses. When was this survey done? And where are the facts? So why not simply disconnect them, if you discover that they have by-passed their meters? Or even get them arrested and prosecuted?
Abujaexpress: If consumers bypass prepaid meter, it is the Discos's fault. What stopped them from deploying a more robust technology to check prepaid meter bypassing?
Thank you, jare! You don talk am well! Let the Discos seek for an answer to this question!
agabusta: You are right on that. Some of them are already following this suggestion of yours. The prepaid metre installed in my house has a transmitter that transmit all activities on it directly to Eko Electricity Distribution company. Even if the cover is opened, a light comes up on its indoor unit and this is also transmitted to their office. They also installed the device high up an electricity pole. and covered the input and output cables to some extent. And stated that any tampering to the input and output cables will be transmitted to their office. I was even surprised to see that the meter uses a sim card.
This coupled with frequent inspections will reduce electricity theft to some extent. Unless there is sabotage on the part of their employees
Thank you, o jare! You have just answered the question on the kind of 'robust technology' that can be deployed to check electricity theft. This method may not be perfect, but it is a start. If the same devices or practice, can be deployed across board by other Discos to deter electricity thieves, am sure there would be some level of improvement.
PentiumPro: The reason is simple. Any Disco that cannot reasonably and effectively metered the electricity it distributes will not be able to pay the Gencos and will just keep accumulating debt. The issue is worsened now with the fact that 1, estimated billing is becoming difficult to collect, 2, it's almost now illegal to disconnect owning customers. The ultimate solution is to METERED ALL ELECTRICITY CONSUMERS.. Anything outside that will not work
You forgot to add that even when consumers pay for pre-paid meters, it takes them months to get it. And when those pre-paid meters get faulty, the Discos turn a blind eye and deaf ears to pleas made by consumers, who beg them to fix it.
agabusta: The power problem in this country is multifaceted. It needs iron hand. Fashola seems inundated and too soft with these discos.
Mynd44, OAM4J, Lalasticlala please come and see this interesting report. Discos are turning down power supply despite that people are eagerly and prayerfully waiting to receive such electricity.
Something is definitely wrong somewhere with the power administration and management in this country.
Don't mind them. Who was that clown that was arguing for an increase in electricity rates that consumers pay, saying it was the only way Discos could provide power?
Marotzke: Yes you are mistaken. She became permanent secretary in the late eighties, under IBB.
Wrong!! She was appointed a Federal Permanent Secretary in 1975.
Francesca Emanuel was one of the early member of Steve Rhodes Voices.
In this interview conducted her at Victoria Island home, she spoke on how she was able to carry on as a member of the Steve Rhodes Voices in spite of her busy schedules in the Civil Service, a career that saw her become Nigeria's first female Permanent Secretary.
Excerpts from an interview conducted by Bola Adewara _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Your name is often conflictingly spelt. Some people spell it as Emmanuel, featuring two letter M, while others spell it with only one M. Which of the two is right and what is your ancestry like? My maiden name was Pereira . My husband's name is Manuel but our people have corrupted it to Emmanuel and now what can we do? But we left it as Emanuel, one M. Both of us come from the Lagos Brazilian family. My husband's Emanuel is of the Tokunbo area while my Pereira is of Seteolu Compound, Kakawa street , near Campos Square on Lagos Island.
How did you develop interest in music? As a little child, I was brought up by my grand mother because my father, Francisco Eugenio Pereira who died in 1986 worked as a Civil Servant in the governor's office. He was always on transfer and mother went with him. I was baptised a Catholic through my maternal grandmother whom I stayed with at Olowogbowo area of Lagos. She was a Ghanaian who was brought into Nigerian at age 13 and married my grandfather, Jonathan Theodore Nelson Caulcrik. My grandfather had a Sierra Leone blood. I am still in touch with some of the ancestry. I took my grandmother back to Ghana when she was 70 and luckily there was one of her contemporaries around who took us round and we also invited them to Nigeria. At the Sierra Leone end, I have no link because that place is too far from Nigeria .
So I started loving music and acting as a child. Many times I caught myself singing and acting alone, fantasising. I used to attend the Sunday school at Olowogbowo Methodist Church where I was a member of Little Stars, a church organisation for little Children and we used to perform in the church.
At what point did you leave Steve Rhodes Voices? When in was appointed Permanent Secretary in 1975. When I was an Assistant Secretary, I damned all taunting and name calling like “Singing Assistant Secretary”, this and that from people in government and the media. I said to hell with them because I was not doing anything the law of the land and nobody could dictate my life for me.
But when I was appointed, I sat myself down and told myself that at this level of this appointment, my comportment was no longer about Francesca alone. This was Nigerian womanhood. Having been given this opportunity, all eyes are on me and they are going to judge me. Whatever I do will reflect on the chances of those coming behind me, so I must not do anything that will jeopardise the chances of those coming behind me. So I withdrew from Steve Rhodes Voices. http://www.livingprojectslimited.com/steverhodes/francesca-Emmanuel.htm
givenbiznews: senator dino melaye distributed items worth than 100 million naira in Kogi state. he posted a portion of the things to be distrubted on is page on istagram, which including 700 roofing sheet: more than 200 letters of red oil, and 1000 bag of rices. he said he has his kin at the top of the priority list that why he is doing this as his own gift for the general population of kogi state. see more here http://givenbiznews.com.ng/senator-dino-melaye-distributed-materials-worth-100-million-in-kogi-state/
Big fat lie!! 100 million kini? All the things in that truck are not up to =N=8 million naira, give or take a few thousands. Why do people like swallowing Dino's propaganda without cross-checking the facts?
All the roads in his constituency are among the worst in Nigeria, and he has not done anything to compel the relevant authorities to fix them. This chap is nothing more than a big loud-mouthed clown...
7lives: If the Biafran army had not entered Ore, the story might have been different the last time i checked Ore is Yoruba land. Your fore fathers want to kill two birds with one stone, colonizing Yoruba land while pretending to be going to fight the federal government in Lagos, as if your soldiers will be handing out FRIED RICE AND CHICKENS ON THEIR WAY TO LAGOS.
E don do, biko!! Una wan kill person with laugh for here??
HCF: Yes Jumobi was quite unique then. But,Mee, RMD's first wife died of complications from fibroid not cancer.
naptu2: RMD was previously married to famous editor and publisher of Classique Magazine, May Ellen-Ezekiel (MEE), but she died in 1996 during an operation to remove fibroids. (MEE famously interviewed Fela and that was when he made the jokes about faculty and technology).
Jumobi Adegbesan presented Lunch Break and Juke Box on AIT before she married RMD.
Thank you all for educating the clueless. Yes, his first wife May Ellen Ezekiel, the late publisher of the defunct Classique Magazine, and former editor of Quality Magazine (one of the publications under Newswatch in those days), died during an operation to remove fibroids at a Lagos hospital.

And I will tell you the CLEAR CUT TRUTH my mom's grand-parents considered themselves Yorubas (and spoke the language fluently). Mind you they are Edos but (for example) when they meet a Yoruba person in the market they say 'my kinsman or kinswoman.' This cultural recognition was never accorded to the Ibos who were also in the market in large numbers. Back in the day, many Edo people spoke Yoruba language fluently, nowadays the Yoruba influence on Edo waning because of politics and changing times.
You forgot to add, that there are tons of full-blooded Edo people who bear Yoruba names, too!!

Obviously, you are referring to all the lies you have told yourself and other people on this thread, as well as the ignorance that everyone can see oozing from your pores. Finally, thank you for notifying us that you are heading for the grave. Let me give you a word of advice.
“A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep.” ― Saul Bellow, To Jerusalem and Back “Bigotry is based on deception, of oneself and of others.” ― DaShanne Stokes The lies we tell other people are nothing to the lies we tell ourselves.” ― Derek Landy, Death Bringer
We all know you like deceiving yourself. But try not to tell so many lies to yourself, and to others.

My advice to you is simple. “Above all, don't lie to yourself. The man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie, comes to a point that he cannot distinguish the truth within him, or around him, and so loses all respect for himself and for others. And having no respect he ceases to love.” ― Fyodor Dostoyevsky, The Brothers Karamazov

Ugosample: One thing I will never be is an Ass licker. I have lived in Lagos long enough to know that indeed, some of this hatred meted out on Igbo people here (though never justified ) is caused by some of our uncouth people with the way they behave.
Now ask yourself, with more than 200 ethnic groups in Lagos, why always Igbo ? why not Hausa? or the other groups
There are many sensible Igbo people doing business and living life without causing trouble, but as the biblical talk of how the fly in the ointment spoils it all, some of them act and behave in very despicable manner, like one who was saying the other day that Igbos will buy all the land in Lagos and turn the Yoruba people to tenants here, and unnecessary tussle over things that does not help. If the Hausa people in Ebonyi behaved in such manner, you think the Igbo people there will not be wary and go defence mode?
And for Yoruba peeps too, make una easy with the tribalism, you people are not saints either.
Igbo people, stop bragging and rubbing it on their faces that you are buying up all the land and you who colonise them or turn them to tenants or whatever, we are not the only ones buying land in Lagos or own lands in Lagos, let us just be civil and live in peace and enjoy our inheritance (Nigeria)
And as for Yoruba people, easy on Xenophobia eh, nobody will turn you to tenants, or whatever, and you can achieve too if you put in the effort and sacrifice into your business and what you do too.. Don't see the Igbo man as your problem in Lagos, and let us live in peace.

Dedetwo: Zik and NCNC never had any form of alliance with Ahmadu Bello and NPC. Actually Zik and NCNC had alliance with AG to form UPGA. It is safe to say that Awolowo's free educational program in western region of Nigeria had considerable drawbacks.
Awo's free educational programme covered the entire Western region and old Mid-west, and it was quite successful. There are many individuals, homes and communities that received an education which they may never have been able to afford (because they did not have the means to finance it), due to that programme. Even part of the Western Igbo towns, located under the old Mid-West, benefited from it.

You can tell the character of a movement, by the kind of supporters, it attracts. Pretence, lies, half-truths and propaganda will always kill any cause, no matter how fervent its supporters may be.
