Well, birth cert from NPC in Surulere is 4k official fee and they'll tell u 2wks but if u want it faster follow the man talk with maybe 2k.
While;
Police cert is around 5k (I'm not sure of d price) in Alagbon.

1.for the experienced people here,pls how does one keep money as it is not safe to carry a huge some from here.plus i know there are some banks ere that u can withdraw frm anywhere in the world but dont if they have daily limits as to what one can withdraw.

2. For those that applied for a pgd,and have gotten a visa,how many years were they given? Single or multiple entry. Incase one wants to come back during xmas or any holiday.is it advisable?

3.which airlines are okay and the routes. The one that i wont have to stay in transit for 10hrs.i get easily bored for africa and definitely wont enjoy it

4.any ottawarians in d house? Looking for accomodation. Suggestions pls

d jay: Hello good people of this forum 1st of I would want to apologise for my absence on the forum as waiting for CIC final decesion can make one numb particularly someone like me, knowing my application developed k leg during processing but the good news is on friday d 16th CIC hornerd God and my visa was handed to me that day I cried softly , I think it was tears of joy perhaps because 2weeks prior to that day I received my package from vfs init my application was closed and I was refused but in the package my intl pasport, full board+ skl fees receipt & letter from my sponsors lawyer standing as source of income as she dint ave a credible proof for source of income but she had enuf fund,all this was not in my package recevied from vfs. Let me take us back during call 4 medicals I was askd to provide these documents that was not in my package recevied from vfs moreso I was given 30days to provide them,If siga can rember I mailed him on his opinion as regards what is my best option as regard sponsors source of income since my sponsor lacked d required docs specified by CIC he sugestted a letter from a laywer would do. Tuale!! Oga Siga ur idea paid off. Now 30day has elapsed and I had not provided the docs infact it was until anoda 30days that I was able to provide the docs my application was closed on the 30th of july and the suporting docs got to CIC on the 1staug am sure dat was why d supporting docs and intl passprt was not in my closed appltn....now back to we're we we're after I recived d closed apllictn 4rm VFS as suggested by a vfs staffs and mr Wammi whom I met at VfS office d day his visa was approved after his 2nd trial encouraged me to hit CIC when I got there filled d form was askd 2 come in well to cut long stry short that day they explaind futhr more why my app was closed and that I should reaplly then gave me my pasrt and odr docs then almost instantly she got a call and she calld me bk in and collectd my docs bak and told me in 2wks dey would get bk 2 me which dey did on fri with d good news of stamped visa ..Thank God 4 me u guys ,thank u all 4 ur support, we are family in here. Well am headed to Ottawa and I applied on 3rd april.

I don't think there is anything wrong with your uncle sponsoring you especially that he's not just doing it.he's been the one all the while.I also think you should have some money in your account too and then a death certificate to back it up.u r good to go bro but some ogas @ the top here will have more suggestions

What if cdhc decides to change the clinic they use? #justsaying/asking#.
I believe they know what they are checking for or looking out for and d results would be dated (not sure tho).what if they realize the test has been done b4 the date they even sent you a mail to do your medical examination.If for instance,after the test,I decide to get pregnant.how would they detect that since I already did d test b4 I was called?I think they have set standards sha and won't do such.These cdhc pple are looking for ways not to make us go to their country na but God dey.do you know anyone who has done it b4?

kjbobo: Bros....this is very simple....These clinics are money making ventures. ..and they want your money...plus its a hospital saddled with responsibilities to carry out tests normally...worked in hospital for two years...and have never heard were someone will be sent back cos he wants to do medicals...its just logical...they collect your money...and if the person isnt called eventually...they chop the money...if yes...less work for them. .

So either way its win win for them!
I will just advise you chill if you are outside lag....its not worth the stress around this time

You cannot do the medical without any instruction o.they will send you a form that has your name,uci and application no which the hospital will request for.

Chatters: The ones you saw are on the high side because this is peak period. Yes flights can get as low as 170k during off peak and even lower. Pls don't waste your money looking for 410k flights. You can put that moni to better use. For me it better to enter a kabu kabu flight and save a whopping 250k than enter a classy flight that will finish my hard earned cash. Just my 50 kobo anyway. Okay then...lets chill and hope the mail will not be needed.since a communication link has been established between the two parties before now . through mail there is no cause for alarm.
Each school has its own peculiarity. .for instance. .CDHC accepts e-copy of admission letter from my school and my school will never send hard copy to them!
My advise will be not to pressure your school to send any mail now cos it will give impression to CDHC you still have time.

Your program begins September 3, 2013. The last day to begin attendance, as indicated on your offer letter, is September 6, 2013.

Please contact us when your permit is approved, or the last week of August to receive any updates that we may have regarding late attendance for our international students.

I actually indicated on the form too but i did not fill any form cos it was stated somewhere that and i quote `IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT ADDITIONAL FAMILY MEMBERS MAY NOT MAKE APPLICATION UNTIL SUCH TIME AS THE PRINCIPAL APPLICANT HAS BEEN PROCESSED.`

olutimi1: To answer ur questions:
1) I filled a separate form for trv for him although I indicated on my study permit application I ws travellin wit a dependent.We submitted at d same time.

2)He is 2yrs old so apart frm physical exams, no blood or urine sample ws taken during his medicals.

3) Although I have a fully funded scholarship,my hubby ws our sponsor and had a 4Million statement in support.

4)I submitted his birht cert, pictures with us, immunization card,dats all.

Hi.congrats.please i wantto find out.did you feel a seperate form for your son and did you submit both together or at diffrent times?how old is your son?did he do any test and what was your closing balance?what documents did you submit for him?

olutimi1: My good people....I received an email from CDHC ds evening dat my study permit has been approved.0ur status(my son and I) has also changed on the VFS portal......God is great!!!Did medicals on the 15th of July...lookin forward to hearing more of this wonderful news from the awaitees.

240k....please and please go and look for school yourself.send mails to the school and they will tell you their requirements and all you need is send to them.or better still go to preparation for life in ikeja (pfl).They will help you get a school and arrange all your documents for visa processing but na you go submit yourself.The only thing is you pay 60k for the service they are rendering you and its for 3schools incase one school doesn't give one an offer.don't let anyone chop your money o.most of the people here applied themselves and as you can see,a lot are getting their visas.flight ticket to canada sef no be beans.almost half a million sef.that 240k go do something o.please be wise.I once worked in pfl so I am sure of d details I gave you.you only make use of it if you don't want to stress yourself but paying 240k is way out of it abeg.All the best!
