Rejoice with me, my pink-lip princess made her grand entrance this morning at 7:50am, weighing 3.8kg at 39 weeks (by LMP) via ceaserran section.

It was purely the wonders of God as fluid was completely dried.
Mummy and baby alive and well, Daddy over the moon with ecstasy, grandparents rejoicing over the new
BS later, still in pains.

Haven’t finished shopping, to think I don’t even know what else to buy, na so so clothes and shoes I dey buy for this boy. Bought most things tho but the small small things I no know Lol. Not even gotten hospital bags for both baby and me I still dey chill .

Cappo @Anugod you are not alone in the stretchmark business oo I have them on my stomach even tho I have been applying coconut oil from the onset but ayam not bothered after all I no go open belle dey waka but it's not very obvious as I yellow well well (blacky lol) so it's all good.
God will see us all through to the end ... Amen

Thank God we are increasing gradually, and we will get there.
How bumping? I hope all the bumps are showing pretty well now? Mine is starting to show very well now, praise God!
Some of us are already into our third trimester (like play like joke o ) and the rest of us are following sexily behind. We thank God for the journey so far.
Hope shopping has started? Abi you are still like me waiting to know baby sex before shopping? And the pikin no wan keep leg
I've decided to proceed with my shopping sex or no sex tho, cos on second thought, it'd be better to get unisex stuff that my baby's younger ones, one can use too. Be like me.

Has waddling started already? And how are we feeling generally? If you don't comment often, at least pop in once in a while to say hello

I believe we saw mama AlphaHand.Maiden's post earlier on? Where she talked about a gift pack to be won by any of us, and the requirements for that? No dulling o, my eye don dey that awoof pack already. Who follow me?

Thank God for the new month, and although we lost a team mate, we decree no more loss for the rest of us till the journey comes to a blessed end. Please, let's try to be sensitive to our environment,and take no symptom for granted.

So ladies I have a testimony (genotype issue), mistake I made I didn't bother to check mine or my partner's before anything.
So when I went for my 12 weeks scan, they took blood to test for Down syndrome, and other chromosomal abnormalities, and after like a week they called me and said I am a carrier for sickle cell (AS) and I should ask my partner to check asap so they know what step to take next. We live in different cities and I told him, I was panicking and so was he, he finally did his and his came back AS . All these while I have been thinking of a lot of things, what would happen if God forbid the baby turn out to be SS being that the baby has a 1 in 4 chance, I was scared. So they asked if I want to do a test (amniocentesis or CVS) to find out if the baby will be AA, AS or SS and what would I do if the baby is affected, if I would terminate it or not, I couldn't even answer them. Anyway i decided to do the test last week, (them shook big needle for my belle to reach the placenta and collected bit of it) very painful chai. I have been praying that the one in 4 chance of AA my baby will be and today the midwife called me, I was panicking and she said it's good news, immediately my eyes opened. Baby is not even a carrier and not affected either so that defo means AA and all other chromosomal tests came back normal, I am just so happy, I am relieved now. And baby is indeed a BOY. God is good .

This is us at 20 weeks tomorrow even tho scan is measuring 3-4 days ahead . I had a scan last week and the sonographer said it's a boy but I'm not too convinced as baby wasn't co operating, I pray she is right as I have always wanted a boy but would be thrilled with a girl either, just want a healthy baby. Anatomy scan is Friday so 3 more days to find out for real

As for me, I'm yet to resume work since I took a sick leave last month
I feel much better now though, just this nagging headache after small stress. I'm afraid of resuming work as a teacher. How will I be able to cope in a government school?
My colleagues still think I'm very down. I just need to gather morale and resume. I've rested pretty much.

I read your post about the fibroid and I really wanted to reply but for my phone ish. Teamie, I had the same issue with you o, fibroid at 12 weeks scan Mine was even two The pain was hellish

They told me it would last till around 20 weeks. Pain didn't reach a week. I refused to use the drugs prescribed for me cos doc said it was risky at my stage and could only be used if I could no longer bear the pain.

I noticed the pain stayed when I used fesolate with my routine drugs, but when I exempted it, the pains would disappear. So I stopped taking it and we're doing good. I try to supplement with foods rich in iron though.
I saw you were talking about ferrour sulphate, is it an iron supplement? I was prescribed ferrous fumarate, this is, don't know if they are the same thing tho

May God keep us through till the end and give us all testimonies.

Oh thanks. The pain was horror lol. I had to have emergency scan cuz they wanted to rule out ectopic at 11 weeks. I have been good for two weeks now but since yesterday I have been kinda feeling it on and off, I am paying no mind to it jare lol. I was prescribed iron tablet so that's what I'm taking now. It will all end in praise.

I am finally in the second trimester, 14w 1day today and want to thank God for making it this far. I have not had any MS or any weird cravings, apart from the on and off pain I get on my left side as I was diagnosed of fibroid , it's been smooth and sometimes I wonder if everything is ok there lol. I pray it continues this way, find out gender next month, already getting impatient

DH is 20weeks. Feeling serious indigestion. Been taking Antacid (Gestid) but no improvement.
Also she's diagnosed of fibroid (Doc & Scan says is not a treath to the baby) but she feels pains on the side of the fibroid location.

She was given pain reliever from hospital on her last antenatal but no serious improvement.
Pls any recommendation on the indigestion and pain.


*She eats in bits and max time of dinner is 7.30pm to sleep 10.30pm after telemundo. Lol

Hi, I was diagnosed with fibroid as well and like your DH I was told it wouldn't affect the baby, actually just had my 12 weeks scan today and all is fine thank God. I also have pain on the side where the fibroid is so I was given a pain relief tablet CO-CODAMOL is the name. Helps me a lot, once I take it I can go for hours without the pain or just small twinges, but I am in the UK so I don't know if you can get it where you are, if you can then that would help her alleviate the pain .

I have experienced exactly this pain b4 ( though it was before i got pregnant) i had left pelvic pain wc travels down my thigh. Although mine wasnt fibroid, it was ovarian cyst. U can google symptoms of ovarian cyst.

Oh really? I will read up on it, did you do anything to it or did it go away on its own?

CS but it had nothing to do with the fibroid. Had that pain for 2 days and I never had it again. If you can't bear it go to the doctor. He'll probably prescribe pain reliever

Ok thank you very much. Although won't be able to see the doctor till Friday, I pray the pain goes down before then .

Hi. Had a fibroid too (actually I had/have 2). The pain may be as a result of the fibroid degenerating. If it is you probably won't feel any pain from it again after this. Mine happened around 15 weeks and I never felt it again. Only thing is when your bump is big you may be able to feel the fibroid depending on where its located. Had my baby in February without issues

Hi thanks, I haven't been told the location of the fibroid because it was just a quick scan to rule out ectopic. The next scan is Friday and I would prolly be able to ask the doctor about it. My issue is just the pain, it's so uncomfortable and I don't know how long I can bear it. Did you have the baby vaginally or thru cs? Sorry just trying to prepare my mind, I know I'm still early.

Hi mamas, I am 11 weeks plus and since Monday I have been having this pain on my left pelvic area and it's travelling down my left thigh. I had to go to the hospital today because I couldn't sleep last night cause of the pain. After speaking to the nurse she said they have concerns that it might be ectopic. I went straight to YouTube to check symptoms of ectopic pregnancy, aside the pain I haven't experienced any of the other symptoms so I felt a bit relieved but somehow still worried. My first scan was supposed to be next Friday the 19th but they had to do one today to rule out ectopic but thank God baby was jumping around with good heartbeat and the nurse said congrats... I was relieved. Then she said the pain is as a result of fibroid , although it won't affect the baby. Is there anything I can do or is this how I will endure the pain till the baby is born? Anybody experienced this before?


I'm still peeking tho as I haven't seen any November due date, Biko who is due November?

Congratulations Laureen007. I think you just try to avoid raw foods and shell fish. Otherwise, you can eat anything you used to i believe. I had a miscarriage after eating crabs at 8 weeks. Started cramping that night, spotting then full blown bleeding Thank God I got pregnant again. Never eating crabs in my life ever again

wow really? I ate crabs and mussels at 6weeks plus .. I haven't had any spotting or bleeding since finding out I was pregnant just occasional cramps here and there. I should prolly steer clear for the now. God help us all. I just can't wait for my first appointment to be sure everything is ok, apart from tiredness I don't feel pregnant at all lol

I had it till I reached second semester but while in first semester I could only take yogurt, rice, chicken, a lot of water and fruits, they were life saver... I am in Nigeria though, I also took a lot of draw soup like plenty ewedu with amala plus chicken , eba and ogbono soup with dry fish... I hope it helps

Hi mamas, I'm 7+2 weeks today. Luckily no ms yet and I have been eating well but I have a funny question to ask... what kind of food did you mamas that have past your first trimester eat? Or mamas still in their first trimester what kind of food are you eating? I am in the U.K. And its either you can't eat this, you can't eat that blah blah... most of the foods I like are said to be not healthy for the baby ayam tired lol. What can I eat? Most times I want to eat out but scared so I don't eat anything that will harm the baby. What exactly can I eat Biko?? Google isn't helping Also I haven't been to the doctor yet because my appt is next month May 2 and that would be 9+6 weeks, being that its my first time I can't be seen earlier , some people don't even get seen till 12 weeks so I'm lucky. I'm only taking folic acid just now, what type of prenatal vitamins can I buy just now or should I wait till my appt and ask the doctor to prescribe?
