Trump doesn't hold the pull that Gingrich had. Gingrich turned politics into a bloodsport, and his populist rhetoric shaped Congress and his party for decades.

I don't think these are multi-cycle winning issues.
We solve the border, pull the culture closer to the center, and there'll be no urgency to flock to the polls.
There is a danger of making culture our abortion banner. The Dems sought to use abortion to win multiple election cycles. It only worked for one. And our assumption is that they're not going to pivot. They could press pause for 2 or 4 years.

We have to also watch out for the ret**ds who could potentially score own goals.
We're deporting millions. Pro-lifers are emboldened. Many of our lieutenants have huge egos.
We have our Bowmans (the Dem id**t who pulled a fire alarm).

We won the popular vote in 2004 and the Great Recession came 3 years after.
Heck, Trump was coasting to a easy re-election and potential popular vote win in 2019 then COVID struck.

What are the statistical odds that Trump won every swing state and we lose all but one senate seat.
After Trump's win, we took our eye off the ball and a 55 Senate is now a 53, potentially 52 if Elias has his way.

Thing is, working for Congressional races is not shiny.
It's almost thankless. No one will deify you like Pressler or Kirk to bring home a district most can't identify on a map.
But we need to roll our sleeves and sic the hounds.
If the Dems won MI, WI, NV, AZ with Trump on the ticket, how do we preserve the Senate majority in 2026 without Trump on the ballot and without McConnell.
Especially when there is a time-honored tradition of the incumbent doing badly in the midterms.
That's to say nothing about the House. A 224 House is now looking like a 220 House.

The Midterms is going to be f*cking rough yo.
We will need to bring the house down on the Dems to stand a chance of retaining our majority.
