just get ready to kill ur maths and English...

and get your guessing game ready..

I guessed right and I had 9/20.. I had a 12 in my maths and 19 in my english
Are math and english hard like the kind of stuff we're taught at SS1-SS3? Are the current affairs questions like gov't study questions? Sorry to bombard with you with all these questions but I'm a bit frantic. cry

30/60might be a minimium... but as I have mentioned many times, I have two friends who got admission with less than 30... I had 40... but I still didn't enter for architecture...

it depends also on the scores of the people applying for a particular course. Take me gig example.. to have gotten 40 and still not get the course I wanted means everyone who got architecture got a higher score than I did... so its either you study very hard, or u pray every other microbiology aspirant gets a lower score than you.

and yes there is a government like current affairs... its not really current affairs.. 20 questions

Ok. It's even scarier when there aren't even past questions to study on, that way you know what lays ahead of you.

Guys help me out here! I'm hearing there are current affairs' questions. Are they a lot of them or very few questions that won't jeopardize your score? Btw, I have a friend who just finished 200 level from CU and she told me you need to have a minimum of 30/60 to gain admission but I heard them say 40/60 as minimum score of admission? I don't which is which or what is what? I'm lost! embarassed

@First emboldened, it's funny how some people pick spoon-pick western culture and live others.
-By the way, it's not biblical because I expect those men that quote bible and say they want a submissive wife to abide to all biblical rules and regulations.

@Second emboldened; that's it.
I know it's looks stupid to be using the internet, calling through cell phones, wearing t-shirts and trousers, listening to their music and going to school speaking in english, playing their sports, etc while holding unto strict cultural views. Moreover, The same bible they quote about submissive wives, they forgot about that part that says men should love their wives as christ loved the church. The amount of men that abide by that scripture is the size of an ebola virus grin

Why do ladies feel they are the one to work inorder for marriage to stand/last?

That's an inferiority complex.
My dear it's the cultural mindset. Ladies are the most groomed for marriage. In marriages that break down, it's the wife that works the most to mend it. Since a lot of men are lazy in that sector; if the wife gives up the marriage is totally broken beyond repair. As long as it took two people to say I do, it's takes two people to strengthen it smiley

so women like that op who encouraged other women to be an asset to their men are weak women? Do you know the list of women that have been attacked by feminists because they decided not to be identified as feminist? That list also include so many hollywood stars, Omotola and Kim Kadarshian (i am not a very big fan of kim kadarshian). Do these women seem weak to you? You feminists like linking power to money, fame, career and status, and that's why even when there is gender imbalance in the jobs like fire fighting, you don't advocate quotas for such jobs.

Since you link power to money, fame, career and status, can you honestly say that the ladies i have mentioned are 'weak' women? You get money reach those women? Abi na status you get? Pls, understand i am not trying to diss you. I am only making you guys to understand there is an error in your movement and that you guys have to do something quickly otherwise, the gains you have made in the past decades will be reversed.

When you try to monopolize reproductive power, you don't expect that every body including women will agree with you. When you falsify history or tell what Chimamanda would call a "single story", just to impress your narative and further your agenda, you don't expect everyone to agree with you.

Honestly, if feminism can stick to the dictionary definition of it, no person in his right senses would go against it.

Maybe i should tell you a bit about myself: i use to be what feminists call a "real man" and that's because i defended them passionately. Infact, FrancisTony own na smalls. It continued until i got involved in a shocking discussion where feminists were arguing against male reproductive rights- that a man should not have a say at all if HIS OWN CHILD SHOULD BE BORN OR NOT. At first, i thought it was just the thinking of feminist i was discussing with; i never knew it is an article of the 3rd wave feminist religion. I had similar discussions with several other feminists and it was the same vile, disingenuinty, irrationality, hate, pathology and desperate tyranny.

I started re examining all that i fiercely defended and i came to appreciate some more, corrected the others and outrightly dismissed the vast majority!

The focus of this thread is: "Women being their worst enemies" and you're bringing up a whole different argument just to start a baseless debate. You list women that have been attacked by feminists; do you know how many women have been attacked for standing up for feminism? There are many incidents where women have attacked a woman for standing up for her rights. So far I didn't see any bashing here until it came from some NL males. You enjoy a docile woman that is why you think she's right and every other woman is wrong. Saying a woman is like an asset to her husband is like suggesting that wives are nothing more than prized acesories to their husbands. As we know such women do not ever get involved with their husbands affairs neither are they appreciated. Women like Omotola won't have been as successful like she is today if not for feminism; therefore she's an unconscious feminist by her actions but refuses to accept it out of this fear of being labelled a feminist because in our society being called a feminist is like saying you are a boko haram recruit. You think in Nigeria feminists are a majority among women? No my friend, some women with such views keep their mouth shuts to avoid humiliation and verbal abuse from other WOMEN.

can we also say that all the feminists in this thread was shocked that another woman could possibly support men, hence the term "gender traitor"? Is that why the likes of vikkybee would suspect that such a woman is a 35year old looking for husband and would tell it to her face so as to shame her? Is that why when a lady started a thread here encouraging women to be assets to their husbands rather than liabilities, the resident feminists attacked her and the men supporting her, calling them hipocrites? Is that why in that same thread, a feminist asked the op of that thread that: "on a softer note, how many private messages have you recieved since you started this thread?

Make una dey think small na!

Honey, women have been supporting misogyny and extreme patriarchal beliefs for ages even today. Not every woman supports feminism. Matter of fact, many women in this country fight against feminism because it has tarnished the image of a weak woman. They adore their roles as 2nd class citizens. The feminists that fight women who think this way is because they're snapping some common sense into them because they've been brainwashed. NL males appreciate women who think like 2nd class citizens that way it's easier to control and manipulate them. So you too: Think small na?

Family / Re: Women Are Their Worst Enemies by lavatoz(f): 8:24pm On May 18, 2015
This is my understanding of the topic.
Yes women can be bitchy towards each other and women are good at popping each others' bubbles. The reason female empowerment hasn't gone that far is because, other women discourage women from moving ahead in life. It happens even in our families. As a young woman or teen girl, your mom or aunt would discourage you from reaching greater heights; they'd fear your over-ambitious attitude and constantly remind you that as a female you have to consider what your husband would say. sad
You won't really have that problem among your male relatives undecided (well, me I won't anyway) but men haven't always shown that extreme fraternal love for themselves either. Do you know how many times men have sabotaged, killed, betrayed, cheated and diabolically competed among themselves? Uncountable. It is evident in literature and real life events. Yet who say "Men are their worst enemies"? The phrase "women are their own worst enemies" is a chauvinistic phrase. Humans are each others worst enemies-especially against the same genders.
It all started with Cain and Abel (brothers), and you know the rest wink

Don't feel too bad about missing a NECO paper. WAEC is more internationally and locally recognized, so once you have WAEC you're all good.

It sucks that you have to miss one sha.

I thought there were no NECO papers on May 25 to 29? can't you choose your date in that time period?

I'll try. It's just that they are other factors like my mom travelling home on the last week of this month. So I didn't think it'll be convenient around may 25 to 29. As well as choosing by 1st-6th june but I'll see what I can do.

Politics / Re: Going To US Is Like Jumping Into Fire — Kashamu by lavatoz(f): 12:36pm On May 10, 2015
seunmsg:

You really need to look up on the facts of this case again without emotions. Even the British court refused to grant US request for him to be extradited to America when it was discovered that the American prosecutors were hiding key evidence. Kashamu will never get a free trial in America. The British knew this and they promptly refused the extradition request. That's a country that takes fair trial seriously. If he his to be extradited from Nigeria, then, due process must be followed. He should not be extradited based on political witch hunting.

Secondly, Kashamu already proved that he his innocent. He went through a rigorous trial in the British court for 5 years and he was discharged and acquitted. So, what else do you want him to prove again? well, to you, he has to travel to America where he won't get a fair trial to prove his innocence. That is not justice as far as am concerned.

Finally, I don't see anything shameful in asking for a fellow citizen to be fairly treated. An accused his presumed innocent until the court says otherwise. In his case, the court already pronounced him innocent. I won't condemn him for political or emotional reasons.

Let me tell you the problem that these americans have. They don't want to portray that their justice system has flaws. They like to keep their reputation of "America is #1!" So labelling an innocent man guilty will be a big shame before the whole world. I've lived in the US and their educated citizens even admit that their justice system can be very corrupt. Even more than that of the british system. The reason Kashimu doesn't want to go back is simple. They might twist evidence and lock him up. If we were in his shoes will we be lenient to go?

cheating is not a man's game as far as women are also doing it. The problem is that when a woman sleeps around, you guys will start looking for the husband's fault to put the blame on him. You can't agree that many women are promiscous, especially Nigerian women. When a girl is used to dating multiple men at the same time, it won't be a surprise if she does same in her marriage. All those women who sleeps around for money, for jobs, for promotion are also playing men's game abi?
But, even as I see a lot of you bragging about being promiscou to make men feel bad, it can only mean more cheap women availlable for randy men. If open marriage should become a must, it would have been better. And I wonder which gender will cry at last.

I once made a comment to francistony on how NL men cry foul when they feel that women are painting all of them with one brush while at the same time they paint all women with the same brush. Your supporting my theory dude undecided
