This is my understanding of the topic.
Yes women can be bitchy towards each other and women are good at popping each others' bubbles. The reason female empowerment hasn't gone that far is because, other women discourage women from moving ahead in life. It happens even in our families. As a young woman or teen girl, your mom or aunt would discourage you from reaching greater heights; they'd fear your over-ambitious attitude and constantly remind you that as a female you have to consider what your husband would say.
You won't really have that problem among your male relatives (well, me I won't anyway) but men haven't always shown that extreme fraternal love for themselves either. Do you know how many times men have sabotaged, killed, betrayed, cheated and diabolically competed among themselves? Uncountable. It is evident in literature and real life events. Yet who say "Men are their worst enemies"? The phrase "women are their own worst enemies" is a chauvinistic phrase. Humans are each others worst enemies-especially against the same genders.

If it's not how females are materialistic, it's how they are 'cheerful givers'. Makes me wonder how many their female loved ones have given, or are they exempted from the stereotype?

Besides this thread is actually about women being their own worst enemies and to be honest it's more prevalent with women than with men!

There are two major reasons for this.

1) There is an innate need in every woman to be desired above other women.
Men do the chasing while women need to stand out as the most desirable for men. This then leads to the running down of other competitors (women).


2) Human beings all need someone to oppress. This means that the people at the bottom of the ladder turn on themselves.
E.g black on black crimes in us and uk, xenophobia in SA
The amount of hate women have for each other in any society is directly proportional to their status in that society.

However they still have the option to walk away and search for other desirable women.

I realise Some ladies with that crazy mindset are crazy themselves. There is a difference between Shade is evil and all women are evil (apart from me and my family members ).

Years back, I was discussing with a friend and her colleague and the colleague be like 'you know How ladies are now... cheating et al. I looked at her and told her... I don't know How ladies are like; I do not cheat neither do some.of the ladies I know.' Later got to know she was cheating .

Another thing is that sometimes people say things they have really not thought aabout.

A lady is working hard at building a career and will still say women make terrible bosses... tell me, is This lady thinking of resigning when she is ripe to be a boss or is she immune to the wind of evil bosship blowing?

How about a lady married with kids doing one or two certifications, very Good at What she does and still say it is not possible for a woman with a family to build her career. My question then is What is she doing?

Na those ones dey give men mouth to insult women. If they (men) can say women even prefer male bosses, makes you wonder what those ladies who prefer male bosses hope to do with themselves if they ever get to such position.
