May the wrath of God de-send on you and your generation for typing such an embarrassing comment towards God.
It is wrong to write such words to another man. It is better to correct than condemn. Wrath of God is not what to wish anyone. The effect may just go beyond your wish.

Just to think of it, you are saving the lives of those chickens (birds/other animals) you or other christians killed for christmas/easter. Religion intolerance is a disease not a virtue.

With nairalander network, vehicles, houses and other items are transfered and delivered across continents and all over nigeria. Is there no nairalander that can import ram from cotonou/up north to the west/east/south of Nigeria. Just thinking.

From the pics, It seems most of the windows will not be sliding. Gradually sliding window is being phased out.

Junapril: That is the way it looks, its the acrylic sealant that is used to polish the surface which protects stain from penetrating the concrete and gives the surface a shiny look.
Junapril, the concrete stamping looks great but any idea on cost?

Good job Spyder, the parapet looks awesome. Are you going to have rain gutters?
Sypder, I could see how beautiful it is to have those big windows from above picture. Ensure mansion windows look great. For the fence, I also support 2. To anyone who understand PH and considering the area the mansion is built, see through fence is not an option except the owner can provide on-point security. Waiting to see the roof completion.

You are right, not really a fight per say. That is why I call it a "matured" fight".. where we talk things out, instead of exchanging blows or insults.

Hajji Mufutau
This is what I called "properties fight". Fighting to own your sound and modern properties with all required knowledge and at cheap cost. What else can one fight for today. To those one who is benefiting, one will always say I wish I was here earlier.

Bros, that space is too small. To provide traffic pathways behind dining chairs, I always recommend providing 3ft from table to wall, depending on the amount and kind of anticipated traffic in the room. However, in spaces where there is no need for a pathway (studios, bachelor's pad and other smaller apartments) I recommend 2ft from table to wall to permit a person to pull a chair out and sit.

Just think about it. Its better you fix the problem now
Thanks for the feedback. I hope more expert will share their thought on this. I am ready to make amend if I have no option.

Thats good to hear. My inference was just from the pics. Thanks for clarification. Any choice of roofing sheet for chateau yet?

From the pics, It is like both staircases (spiral & straight) are within same area. I thought the private stair case will be hidden at a place not open to all. Any choice of roofing sheet yet? Expecting chateau will leave up to the billing. Welldone for clean job.

To seasoned builders in the house, I need your candid advise on this issue. The kitchen & dining of my building under construction are 1.9m & 1.8m.The length is ok (up to 4.8m). They were bigger on design but reduced to current sizes to create required setback from the fence. The sizes are looking too small to me but my builder is saying they are ok and standard enough. I know average dining table is less than 1m in width but my concern is room space around the table while dining. Is the size good enough for commercial house or I should just start to modify the area by tearing down another wall? What is the implication of modification on structure integrity? I hope not to finish the house and nobody wants to rent due to small sizes. Your candid opinion pls.

Welldone for this wonderful gesture. Though planned to be there but was so tired to get out of the house. oldenglish: Hello guys, am building in Ajah and the stage of the project is roofing. I have received a quotation for parapet of about 500k. I think it's too much since it serves nothing other than fancy. Please I will like to know any other alternative to parapet that is less cheap. With the 500k I can buy the woods for the roof.

I will appreciate your contribution.
Spyder, Kudos to your guys. Any alternative to parapet apart from using ceiling board?

spyder880: my iron men are here, and quickly started work
Spyder, I have to take u back to labour work for decking. By your experiences who actually work more and deserve to be paid more btw the capenter and Ironman. Most often their work covers same area. One should be fair in paying for labour. Another observation I have on labour cost,(I may be wrong) it seems the labour charge from ur workers are benchmarked to Enugu prices which is cheaper. If u are to use PH workers, are those labour cost still achievable.

spyder880: more of the loaded materials
Spyder, is there no alternative to create parapet without wasting these materials? I belief we should challenge the statusquo. In as much I like the beauty of parapet, spending damn extra N400-600k is something one has to sit down and rethink. But if there is an alternative that will reduce d cost say 50-60%, I belief the beauty worth it.

The rail looks wonderful. Where are they made? Any price idea of getting down to west(Ib/Lag). Spyder, u didnt respond to one question asked by nairalander on the size of the mansion. I want to think is omitted. Can we know the size?
