Nigerians o, choi! 32 people, including 22 Nigerians have been arrested in a multimillion, multi-state identity theft and credit card fraud ring. See the report from www.nj.com below...The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office first got involved in the investigation in the early fall of 2012, when they received numerous complaints from victims as far away as California claiming that credit cards in their name made fraudulent retail purchases in Hudson County, officials said yesterday.Using store video and physical surveillance, the detectives were able to identify several suspects, authorities state. Detectives then linked those suspects to hundreds of other accounts and millions of dollars in phony transactions. Please continue...The leaders of the group, authorities say, purchased the identities of unsuspecting victims from online brokers, who got the information from computer hackers across the United States. In a process known as "punching," electronic account information from the cards' magnetic strips would be transferred onto counterfeit cards, which were provided to "strikers" who conducted the purchases at retailers all over the Eastern Seaboard, authorities say.Teams of strikers purchased retail gift cards that were then used to purchase various electronic items, authorities say. Those items were then sold in bulk to fences in New York and New Jersey, authorities say. The fence would then sell the items to other people for cash payments. The investigation has identified nearly 1,000 victims across the country and millions of dollars in phony transactions, authorities say.Authorities say the suspects spent the proceeds on luxury cars, high-end jewelry and other lavish expenses. Some of the money was additionally sent to accounts in Nigeria, authorities say. Acting Hudson County Prosecutor Guy Gregory commended a long list of agencies that were involved in the take down, saying, "The operation could not have succeeded without their assistance."Defendants charged with money laundering, theft by deception, wrongful impersonation and conspiracy include: Bolaji Ola, 30, of Sayreville; Olamide Otti, 27, of Queens; Akintunde Adeyemi, 28, of East Orange; David Brown, 27, of Parlin; Adegbola Adedeji, 31, of Parlin; Oluwaseun Jato, 23, of Hillside; Oluwasola Diji, 31, of Westbury, NY; Oladapo Araromi, 26, of Elizabeth; and Bertrand Ahaneku, 25, of South Orange. Those charged with theft by deception, wrongful impersonation, and conspiracy include: Oluwaseun Adekoya, 25, of Sewaren; Henry Abdul, 25, of Union; Babatunde Oyefeso, 27, Union; Michael Assih, 24, of East Orange; John Orubo, 32, of Brooklyn; Idris Soyemi, 25, of Brooklyn; Imrahim Akaba, 23, of Piscataway; Vladimir Francois, 27, of Newark; Yves Desir, 29, of Irvington; Aglaide Alzuphar, 23, of Newark; Kossi Klutse, 25, of Newark; Evon Morris, 23, of East Orange; Fontessa Foreman, 27, of Newark; Olutoye Babatunde, 22, of Plainfield; Olukayode Adeosun, 30, of Newark; Gologo Benshaw, 25, of Newark; Olushola Ayeni, 31, of Brooklyn; Orwells Oyakhire, 24, of Maplewood.Oladayo Araromi, 26, of Linden and Olujimi Williams, 24 of Hillside were charged with conspiracy. When the Rivers state governor decided to ban Okada in Portharcourt, everyone shouted and condemned the proposed act. They gave all forms of reasons why Okada should not be banned, well the man went ahead and dammed everyone to ban them from operating in Portharcourt...what happened? At first everyone felt the pains but we all adjusted, and eventually, after a short difficult period, Taxi cab routes that were not profitable due to okada riders were suddenly developed and they really organized themselves serving the town well,...eventually everyone adjusted and today we are all praising the Governor for banning Okada...We have taxis cabs plying every street in Portharcourt.. Okada is anti-developmental to the society; they have caused a lot of havocs and are real nuisance and hazard to the society. Virtually all of them are not trained to ride a bike…because of Okada, the SME industry is dead! No apprentices to develop skilled labor in the labor market…no one wants to learn works like carpentry, brick laying… welding…mechanics…painting…just name it…they start the work, save 60k, then buy an okada and abandon the work…that is why today u can’t find any skill labor on these crafts in Nigeria anymore. If you are building a house in Nigeria, u will understand what am saying… I totally support the outright ban of Okada in Lagos...these guys are terrible! They are lawless and criminals..Safety should be considered first before anything...Fashola pls ban them now before it’s too late |
Arsenal at their home...beaten! Tot'ham at their home....beaten! Champions of Europe! AVB took it personal....but D'Matteo...cool, calm and compossed! Sack AVB now...else u guys will get relegated! |

bigtt76: They (DHL and probably Fedex also) would require the NAFDAC authorization before it can clear customs. I would advice you get someone in the freight forwarding area to assist you with this or use a frieght forwarder to Nigeria like aascargo dot com they may assist since they have a clearing agent on ground. Cheers. Thanks!, Please do you have their contact: Phone number? website...i tried www.asscargo.com - didnt work! |
Please could anyone who has done this before share his/her experience Am about to send a medication (drug) injection from USA to Nigeria. It is urgently needed by my relation who resides in Lagos. The drug is not available in Lagos as it is very scarce and also a lot of fake in the drug market. This medication is a prescription drug and was duly prescribed by the doctor that treated him when he visited America earlier this year. A copy of the prescription is also attached to the package. I need to send it down to Lagos ASAP! DHL said they need NAFDAC letter of authorization to send it! Where on hell do i get that? FedEx to Lagos has not being delivering on time! Will appreciate a positive contribution! |
If what Achebe wrote is the TRUTH, then why shouldn't he tell the TRUTH? Why do some persons want him to hide the TRUTH? That someone says it as it is does not mean the person is still ANGRY or BITTER. The TRUTH is the TRUTH and the TRUTH can never be late in coming. So SORRY if it offended some Yoruba persons or any other person but the TRUTH should not be withheld because it will offend some persons. Again the TRUTH may be RIGHT or WRONG depending on your side of the divide or your understanding of issues. To some persons it is right to use starvation as weapon of war but to others it is an ATROCIOUS act. In the opinion of Achebe and some other persons, it is WRONG but in the opinion of others, including the Late Chief Awo, it is RIGHT. Such is life. But bottom line is was starvation used as weapon of war during the Nigerian civil war? Yes! Was Late Awo the driver of such policy? Yes! Was late Awo interested in becoming president of Nigeria after decimating the 'enemy'? Yes! Was Achebe right in documenting these TRUTHS in his book for posterity sake? I think yes. FOR THE INFORMATION OF ALL, not ALL weapons of war are acceptable or 'fair'. That is the reason you have the Red Cross and UN to deliver food to the civilian population even in the period of war. Also it is unacceptable to use certain cluster bombs during war or bomb certain targets during war. Again Igbos did not declare war on Nig rather it was Nigeria that attacked Igbo homeland after the east seceded due to massacre of Igbos in the north Awolowo/Gowon should be held and tried for Genocide! |
RIP Arsenal!!! ![]() What did you expect...make una dey dere dey deceive una self..continue selling u best players, maybe na diaby una go sell nxt season....abi na Podosky! Hahahaha |

BoboYekini: that one just before ikeja shopping mall. has a 'Do not enter' sign, you'll probably see it only after you have entered.Guy let's try and be truthful at times. The shoprite road has two visible sign post clearly positioned at the end of the road that hits awolowo way. One is written "Do not Enter" while the other has a symbol of a crossed road entrance on it indicating no entry! Lets give fashola the credit he deserves there, but a lot other one way roads need to have sign posts on them |
