Hi all, I need some information regarding the PMP exam. One of my friends is about to apply and not going thru it the traditional way. first of all he's just finished service and been working for about 6-8months in a major multinational. The guy has registered for the PMP exam using some project experience he got in school. He's a Civil Engr and included some work he did with companies while in school. He was also an executive of his Unis chapter of an International student body so he included work he did htere as well. As a matter of fact he was Director in charge of Projects in that body. So he's using his ecperience form school+NYSC+d little he's gotten from his present company. 2nd thing is he's not going to a REP for training, he's citing most of the training he got in school. Some specific courses some of which include PM courses as sufficient training in PM. Do u guys think he can make it thru the audit before taking the exam? More importantly if he makes it thru that audit will he be able to maintain the certification or run d risk of being stripped of it sometime later on after taking the test due to subsequent audits?? Please let me know what u guys think cos i want to take this route myself if it will work. cos we have very similar academic and extra-curricular backgrounds. MUST PM WORK EXPERIENCE BE IN A COMPANY OR WILL INTL ORGS WORK JUST AS WELL?? thanks guys |
Hi poster, i'd say ur church is probably not right for you. U'll probably need to find one where u r more in touch with what's going on or d other way around. I used to have this problem till i changed churches. U know different churches especially pentecostal have different ministries and are on different assignments. If u r going to one where u r just not in sync with the entire message preached by the church it will get desperately hard for u to get in d flow and dats very dangerous for ur spiritual life. Give it a think u might wanna change ![]() |
lmao y'all really believe this stuff or it's just an exercise in creative thinking![]() If u truly believe it i'm sorry for u ooooo. You think you can use facts to explain this world??Think again my brothers. Una go think till head begin pain you ![]() |
ow11:Bravo, well said. Ibos need to get over themselves and start looking for how to work together in the country. The earlier post by someone that 99% of Yorubas and Hausas hate and plot the downfall of Ibos is total hogwash. In Nigeria of today everyone looks out for his own interest and that of his own people. Ibos need to start learning how to present a united front and forget all this talk about marginalisation. Truth be told nobody has time to constantly try and put someone down. Any intelligent man knows that to keep a man down you'll have to stay down with him. To my ibo brothers and friends, y'all need to free this marginalisation crap,if u r saying that what do u want the other hundreds of small tribes to say ![]() ![]() Give it a break and work hard to be successful. Aint no body can hold you down if you know where you're going and walk with God. By the way, the post that the only succesful thing to come out of Iboland is 419 is just so wrong. I personally believe Ibos are the most hardworking and enterprirsing men in Nigeria as a collective. They just need to get their act together and pursue their own individual destiny rather than believing everyone is after them. ONE NIGERIA |
poster, i agree with you dat people need to do less sitting and more doing where they spot an opportunity. I have had reason to be in and out of Calabar and surrounding areas of Cross River and noticed that the area is ripe for investment due to the lo level of private sector activity. Witht he exception of the banks there really isn't anything going on. My suggestion to you is to look for a viable business opportunity that exists in the state THEN try to find backers or start-up funds. Or better yet go it alone if you can find a way to start it small, then take it from there. Fact is it's extremely difficult to get anyone interested in the place until they see it for themselves. The only area that i think might truly be lucrative there is running guest houses, hotels or some other kind of accomodation or hostelry due to the large demand for accomodation and the little supply. However londoncool has already gone over the limitations in this area as well. One of my friends is already involved in some business there and i hope it works out well for him. I hope yours also works out well for you whatever u decide to invest in.

I don't know of y'all but I prefer a woman that calls me by my first name and respects me 100% (and vice-versa by the way) than one that calls me Baba Junior and raises her voice to me at every single opportunity as well as disrespecting me in every small (or big) issue. We need to get this fact into our heads people. Of course, i understand that some people here will marry (or are already married to) girls 10yrs younger than them. In that case, no shaking your wife should not call u by name (i am assuming she called u Broda Rafiu when u were toasting her). In fact she must go further and go on both knees to greet you no matter where u people are. Yes, why stop at her not calling you by name. Why not try the following as well, you know we'll need her to be a full wholesome Africano wife to massage your undeservedly large EGO: -Kneel to greet you in public -Avert her eyes when talking to you -When discussing you with others, refer to you as Olowo ori mi (d owner of my head and person) -Kneel when presebting you with any item, especially your meals -Marry your son or brother in the unfortunate event that you pass on before her. -Turn all your property and assets that you both worked for over to your relatives when you pass on (this one must be done willingly and joyfully not like with tears in all dem home movies) YES anything worth doing at all is worth doing well. She MUST adopt all these things and much more to show she respects you and culture. Yes keee, ONE NAIJA |
Y"all need to chill a bit in this thread. Enuff with the foul yarns. As per d topic, can't believe people are still makin an issue of this. Na you dey give d child wey u dey ask Female or Male. Even trying to question the sex of your kid(s) is insulting those that are still asking God for the same blessing. Furthermore you're questioning God's judgement. You think there isn't a reason he gave u dat girl or dat boy? Abeg abeg abeg may we move to things wey make more sense |
Yeah i second adakedajor, the chap's talking about MLMs. I'm involved in one myself and i've made quite a bit of change with it. I know most people don't like MLMs cos they find it hard to recruit people. I find it surprisingly easy to do so cos my MLM operates from a great team where ideas and marketing tools are shared. Making money is made very easy and straightforward. Anyone interested in MLMs should make sure their teams are structured in such a manner to enable them make money and do so quickly. No dullin ooooo ![]()

Tough one ooooo U know the problem is not particularly her virginity. Most guys have done some dirt before marriage even if reformed later. Thing is she lied to him about it and there was no particular reason to do so. Did the guy say he wanted to marry a virgin at all cost? If that's why she did it then she deceived him. Was the guy putting pressure on her to go to bed with him? If that's why i can only assume she'd slept with some guy(s) in her past and had made a decision to stop till she got married (i dont even wanna think she might have been sleeping with someone while dating the guy). Either way, what she did constitutes a breah of trust. It could have been avoided so easily and was so unnecessary so it begs the question, If she can hide that what else did she hide. It's a really tough one cos there aint no divorce for a Christian (dats what the good book says). They'll have to live with each other, the guy will have to forgive her. They'll both have to ask for God's guidance and wisdom in the issue. But e go hard ooooooooo |
For what it's worth i want to drop my own two kobo in this gist. When i am toasting a girl friends she calls me by name. When she gree and we start going out she still calls me by my name When the thing becomes very sweet and we swear before the whole world that we will forever cherish and love each other she's supposed to stop calling me my name? I'm not really sure i get the logic behind this. For sure different strokes for different folks n all but if she no call me something when we dey do boyfriend-girlfriend then why should she start when we're on a more serious and open level in our relationship ![]() Oh by the way aint nuthin wrong with pet names. I happen to like em a lot. U gotta do what works for you and your wife. You're the ones facing the storms and know how u r getting thru em together. Forget all this eye-service kind of respect. If u want to marry some village girl that you're going to lord it over then by all means do so and get her to call you "His Royal highness, the owner of my life and children". If that works for your ego go ahead. But if you're living in d 21st century, where you and your wife gotta have each others back 100% then there's gotta be mututal respect. Doesn't mean it's wrong for her to call you what i wrote in quotes, just means you also have to refer to her as "Her Excellency, the great support of my life" or somethin like that Shikena |
Attention has got the hang of it. U just need to remember small off the smaller things and never take your partner for granted. You already know what your spouse likes so go ahead and do stuff that'll blow their minds everyone once in a while. Not every other week or it'll become stale quick. Dats my own 2cents. |
Just need to make an addition to my previous post. The position for sale has now moved to the top of its board since last night due to the marketing efforts of one of Team 12k4U members (you've gotta love em). This means you only need to cycle once to collect your first payment. Please note that conditions for selling still remain the same as in the previous post. IT's still first come, first served.
|
Hi landers, I have another opportunity for you straight from Team 12k4U. I have a position for sale in the middle of a bronze board for getaway club. For those that don't understand what this means it simply means that unlike all positions that need to have the board broken 3 times (before they cycle to silver and collect $50) this position will only cycle twice. The board is already about to break with three people in the lowest level. This means it will break only one more time before you cycle. To make the deal sweeter the position already has one downline being built under it with about 2people in that downline. To buy it now email me at blaque100@hotmail.com The cost is only N25,000 (lower than most people collect) but the catch is the person that gets it needs to bring at least 2 new people on board i.e. they must have two downlines coming in with them. To buy it now email me at blaque100@hotmail.com Please note that there's nothing wrong with this position or its board. It was bought earlier to break a previous board and a new position has been signed under it even, so it's moving well. To buy it now email me at blaque100@hotmail.com |
Hi everyone, What are the pros and cons of registration with COREN and NSE for Nigerian Engineers? Are they any remarkable advantages from being registered or any severe disadvantages? Does a newly graduated engineer need to register with both or just one ofthem should do. What's the deal exactly? |
Hi PMs, Great work from you guys and especially KAshif. Guy God bless you oooo. I need to find out some information cos i've been thinking of taking either PMP or Prince2. My background is in Materials Engineering and i'm presently in my service year. I don't know if i'll be able to sign-up for either PMP or Prince2 proper cos of my limited work experience (though i was involved in a lot of project work in an international NGO in my school years, does that count?). Now i need to know which is better for me to think of Prince2 or PMI cos i expect to go to the UK in Sept 2008 to start an MSc course that centers on risk analysis and management from the financial and engineering stand point. I would like to work in the UK for 2/3years and come back to Naija afterwards. So which do u think would be a better option for me? Since u guys r my egbons (elders) in this field. |
Nairalanders, I have recently discovered a home business opportunity which enables its affiliates make as much as N200,000 to N1.6m in under 6weeks depending on how smart and hard you can work. The program involves selling a virtual product that is easy to market and promote online and offline. I joined last week and made my first N7,000 in less than 4days and i'm expecting to make almost N30,000 before the week runs out with much more to come. If you are resourceful, creative and know or are willing to be taught how to market and promote products effectively without even leaving your home, you qualify for this opportunity. Please note that this is not a get rich quick scheme but rather it's a solid business opportunity which pays out depending on how well you can work the program. Support, materials and tools for promotion are readily available from the team leader here in Nigeria and i can assure you won't regret signing up. For more details on joining this online program send an email to blaque100@hotmail.com . I repeat if you're looking for free money please do not bother to send an email as this is only for serious minded people who want to increase their passive income and are willing to invest in that.

Answer is simple. Forget Happiness, go for Joy. It's all encompassing, doesn't leave and doesn't fade. Most importantly it's not based on what's around you but comes from within. And you can only get it from one source. J E S U S I mean a good knowledge and submission to Jesus Christ and the folowing of his precepts brings total and complete joy |
I don't want to pass judgement on the Pastor cos one can't really say what the motive behind such a statement is. Although his name is definitely interesting and makes one pause for thought. However, Christians nowadays- especially pastors and others called to leadership- need to be very careful about the statements we make. We need to understand that though all things on the earth are under our dominion and we are to occupy till, Christ returns, we are not here simply to be rich. As the Bible says, we are the salt of the earth and all nations should be blessed through us. However, we should keep in mind that we have a higher calling. To serve and love our God and our fellow man. Our primary reason for life isn't to just make money but to spread the good news and work the precepts of Christ till he comes back. I would say my God is the God of all things good, worthy and noble. Trust me people, all the dollarss in the world are worthless if you then die pointlessly. It would be a good idea to consider making him your God today. |
Can people that have just finished NYSC but have very good knowledge of Office and other packages apply? |
Hello people, I happen to know that teachers are urgently required by a number of schools that a company i know are working for. They require a variety of teachers from several different backgrounds including those that can take O/A level subjects, primary school teachers, montessori and even nannies and pres-school teachers. Just go to www.lgrinternational.com/careers.php and fill out the forms there. People, tell all the teachers you know!!!! |
Hi guys, Please go to www.lgrinternational.com/careers.php to follow up on the temporary job offer. The job roles are not limited to administrative personnel but also includes education (teachers and administrators), sales/marketing and accounting. I hear that it's not only temporary jobs but will also include some permanent jobs as well. I've already submitted my CV. |
Hi yemmight, I read through your uploaded docs and they were gr8. Thanx a lot for putting them up. But i need some clarification i am in the HR function of a rather small organisation with balance sheet in the tens of millions rather than hundreds or even billions. The documents u uploaded seems like they're for a much bigger organisation than mine, do u think that's true?? What kind of company do u work in? I also wanna know how u got in touch with Human Edge, did u guys make the first move or they approached u? Cos i'm considering proposing hiring an HR consultant to my boss but i'mnot sure how it works and lastly apart from Human edge who has an idea of other good recruitment consutants that won't just chop our money without producing excellent candidates. Thanks all |
hey people, just wanted to know what you guys think of temporary jobs. I know someone who's an experienced front desk girl and she's currently unemployed but has gotten 2/3 temporary jobs where she gets paid by the week for being the receptionist for different companies. Wouldany of you guys be interested in temporary jobs like that, perhaps in other administrative/accounting positions? What do you think the pros and cons of such a situation would be? I'd really like to get your opinions |

I'm presently in my service year and hoped to study a masters related to the oil n Gas engineering but i wanna know if there's any professional exam for engineers in the industry. I've kinda been trying but i haven't seen anything obvious like ACCA for accountng buffs u know. So bros n sistas out there earning a living from black gold let me know please!!Thought i mite try out a project mgmt certification but dont know how relevant that'll b or if i can do it without work experience. Anyways i'll be glad to know what u guys think, by the way i studied Matls Engrn for my 1st degree. Eagerly awaiting ur responses! |
I am presently meant to be serving and i think the program isn't an entire waste of time but like most other things in naija it's gone totally off track. IT needs to be completely restructured like "mystique" said they might need to shorten it and perhaps offer some flexibility like military service, teaching, corporate work etc. Basically i know a whole lot of people that managed to scale out of where they're meant to be and others that arranged their own posting so enuf of government n NYSC deceiving themselv cos they need to totally overhaul the entire program peace ![]() |

y'all really believe this stuff or it's just an exercise in creative thinking
