Christianity EtcRe: Life or Free Will: which is more important? by layi(m): 3:51am On Sep 29, 2005
Without freewill, you only exist as a mere robotic creation...u don't Live.
Its freewil that makes us appreciate Life. U need freewill to really LIVE
They are inseparable..none is more important.
FamilyRe: Your Child Says, "Daddy, Mommy, I'm Gay!" by layi(m): 2:43am On Sep 29, 2005
Of course that what happens when kids go wrong..."they feel its right". Its ur duty to put them back on the right part.
You dont just do things cos you feel like. they are natural human laws. You've got to do things the right. Dont abuse freedom.
RomanceRe: Is She Pretending to Love Me? I'm Confused by layi(m): 2:23am On Sep 29, 2005
Been there, done that....

It happens to us. I experienced such sometime ago. She actually said she loved me on phone and turned back to deny it. I talked wit her and she said she was scared of a commitment then.....she was kind of young (17+) and i understood.
I think your girl is scared of a commitment. She doesnt look like a playa to me. But dont you make same mistake lots of guyz make..dont assume a relationship. Its got to be verbal. If she scared to say she loves you..she probably doesnt.

I'll advise u give her time. I believe if she just wanted to play you..she wont tell her folks about you not to talk of allowin u in her home.
Talk to her. If it doesnt work out. Give her some space. if she likes u..she'll come after you.

Nb: It's not wrong givin/spendin for your girl. Its the proof of Love. Just pray for wisdom so you'll know the one who really deserves it.

Also lets know your age (both of u).....a better advise could be generated based on that.
TravelRe: So Many Young Men in Nigeria Planning to go to the US by layi(m): 1:17am On Sep 29, 2005
I'll have to support solo's point of view.
Talents can't grow in Nigeria. Infact the Nigerian system is a talent killer.
I've got only 1 life to live...i wont allow it to waste. When i came into this world, i didnt come as a nigerian. I came as an innocent beign going into the world to become somebody. I was only 'unfortunate' to be born here (where things hardly work).
If i have the opportunity to move out i will but like said..i wont go blindly...but rather prepared.
FamilyRe: Should A Woman Be Pregnant for Her Fiance Before Marriage? by layi(m): 12:21am On Sep 29, 2005
Ladies make una no gree o!

2 points worthy of note.

**If after u get pregnant, he refuses to marry you (probably saw another lady who is also pregnant)..what would you do ?
**Why is he gettin married?..for kids only?..u might as well have his kids 4 him(without marriage) and bill him 2M for "child breeding". For geez sake, what is marriage all about...kids? Remember these kids would grow up and leave u both someday.

Why do men think its the ladies responsibilty to get pregnant? Just because mr man rises and shoots doesnt mean it can score. Lots of men are impotent.
That idea wont work for all men by the way, because an impotent man would keepin sowing his seeds everywhere but they'll never germinate.

kamakula:
. . . reverse question - what if your kid says to you, "I am straight" and you try to force them to date other people of the same sex. . . how do you expect your child to react?
Why should you force them to date people of same sex? Is the parent normal?

PoliticsRe: Bribe-taking by Nigerian Policemen: Should We Legalize It? by layi(m): 7:14pm On Sep 27, 2005
What is wrong is wrong.
We might as well legalize stealin since some people can't afford to put foods on their table and they must eat.

The cops have got no excuse. They are not the only ones not paid early. Teachers and other civil servants suffer same fate.

The police have taken to this heinous crime because they handle "mr death".
I even wonder what police are doing with bazuka..they aint soldiers. A cop is supposed to be with sticks or at most pistols (if patrolin' volatile areas)
Legalizing every wrong simply because u can't fight it only shows how parochial u are. Learn from others because there's no problem without a solution.

I've hitherto said i wont get attached to any website..not even yahoo (mailbox) but Nairaland has become an exception.
I come to learn from people..see how other views stuffs and have a better perpective bout the world around me. No man can live in Isolation..we need each other.

Music/RadioRe: Do Nigerian Radio Stations Pay Musicians to Play Their Music? by layi(m): 3:25pm On Sep 26, 2005
Sadly, Its the other way round. embarassed

Artists actually pay DJs for "spins" ie radio airplay(rotation).

The only way round this is to make a very HOT track.... You'll need to bribe/pay 1 DJ for people to hear your song at all...and get people requesting for it. The other radio DJs then have no choice but to "beg" you for a promo CD (because their listeners are always askin for it).

The tables get turned automatically if you are the hottest artist in town. DJs actually call u to know if you've got another nice one so they'll be the first to play it wink.
Same for TV video promotions

Tuface, Weird Mc, PSquare are being paid for the videos by MTVBase. 300$ per rotation. Those videos are HOT (especially PSquare and soon-to-be-aired streetMonks).
