Prof Corruption: How can the country move forward if the likes of Dame Patience are being appointed permanent secretary? You can be sure that ministry is dead already.
We can't create jobs if we continue to recycle nonentities in power. We can't reform NNPC, the so called cash cow, if we continue to appoint people who are supposed to be probing same company into critical sectors of NNPC even while the probe is in progress. GEJ inherited a mess of a country, no doubt, but he has bastardized the country beyond expectations. He is part of the problems the nation is trying to solve.

rusher14: I think the act of sitting suspects on the floor is dehumanizing and cuts a picture of guilty until proven innocent. Don't get me wrong justice should be done especially in the light of the heinous manner of the Aluu killings. Yet making the suspects look guilty until tried makes the issue similar to what the villagers did. Also aren't the police complicit in the matter? after all by their own admission they were aware of the lynching going on but did nothing.
To the grieving which includes any decent person who walks the earth but especially the families and friends the victims left behind I ask God grants the grace to bear the loss.
I also ask that the public remain steadfast in demanding justice but asking it be conducted fairly.
pls dont get me wrong,if i may ask, shld they be giving the sit of the president?

BusinessRe: Private Jets Owned By Wealthy Nigerians And Their Costs by ldpele(m): 7:36pm On Sep 28, 2012
jobaskia: The fact is that owning the jet is one and and maintaining is another. I could remember the ceceila Ibru saga and it was found to even maintain on a six montth basis maintenance cost couple with pilot salary , landing charges goes for like US$700,000.00.

The last time bill gates foundation came to the north they donated a whoooping 50billion and that is just a very small fraction from hisn fortune. We are so blessed here and the so called billionaire has not made any meaningful impact in our live.

They are milking us dry through contract they get from government and if we dare raise eyebrows they will go to court seek perpetual injunction that they should not be arrested. What a country ! what has govt been able to do all sectors of the economy to ginger develeopment , privatization also so goes to their proxies and tey will in turn pay peanuts to worker ( cheap labour). We shall get it right one day to tie all of the at a stake and shoot them.

Curiously , the so called men of God dont verify the wealth of their member beause this shows is not only tithe money the men of God take but tax payers's monies all stolen and given to the church or mosque for them to be praised. In other part of the world , all these are verifiable , it's only in Nigeria we are operating like banana republic.

I dare say we should put a stop this ungodly act so that we wont start ''going bananas''
my pal,let me ask you if the so-called donation have turned the fortune of the pple, will still repeat my sef that if they sell all of those jet, pple wont stop been poor.

nwabuife: An intriguing development was that the husband of one of the female deportees also returned home with his wife, in protest, when the Saudi Authorities refused to clear his wife, even after explaining that he was the husband of the woman. VERY GOOD... SAUDI ARABI many thanks. Saudi muslins want peace. They don't want people who will come n terrorise their people. This showed dat they are against wat d so called Nigerian muslim are doing in nigeria over d issue of boko haram. Nigeria muslims are not portraying d good image of a true muslims. Is a shame they r rejected by their fellow Muslims. D blood of d innocent is begining to hunt them. Shame to nigeria muslims. PoliticsRe: Patience Jonathan Battles Parkinson’s Disease? - SaharaReporters by ldpele(m): 10:42pm On Sep 27, 2012
Pataki: When our foolish president cannot explicitly state what is wrong with his wife to the people who voted him in, please allow all sorts of medical reports to be stated about her.

Whether SaharaReporters is right or wrong here is not my bone of contention. My bone of contention lies in an idiotic president who chooses to tell lies to his people about his wife's predicament and condition.

As I once said, so I still maintain: Rest in Pieces, Patience. The blood of innocent poor Nigerians that you and your husband have shed will cry out for justice.

Car TalkRe: Fuel Is N120 Per Litre In Lagos Petrol Stations by ldpele(m): 7:34pm On Sep 25, 2012
thelastPope: Reading through all these posts make me really laugh! Is anyone not seeing something here? I don't see the problem with government here. I see the problem with Nigerians and their fake lives and self centeredness.

I have had to contend with filling station attendants several times. But guess where my biggest opposition came from? Fellow Nigerians who wanted to buy fuel. They have told me different things from "don't waste our time" to "please you are bigger than that". Some even defended the filling stations as if they work in NNPC and have insider information of some sort.

Hear me loud and clear. It is not a government problem. It is Nigerians problem. The government is not going to go round all the filling stations in the country checking their pump. It is your refusal to get cheated, your mass actions that will bring government there. That is how it happens all over the world. Nigeria is not different. As long as you keep paying N120 per litre, then you shouldn't complain. If you don't want to pay N120, or the pump has been tampered, start wahala right there in that filling station and government will start running down there and before you know it will affect other stations. Stop being a country of cowards who can only rant on NL with pseudo names. Appalling!

sunkoye: angryits very unfortunate that such exit in the name of Armed/staff personnel .research shows that the level of powers/pity arrogated to the armed personnels encourages their madness on duty. imagine a police officer that believe he/she is above the law and was now allowed to roam the street of lagos free...that spell calamity in full!! The dull reason why many Lagos driver are always eager to absolve them as it’s like a semi ticket to reckless driving and law breaking as well. it is highly immoral to get such gift due to the nature of their job function.
