Politics › Re: Saraki: Senate Inaugurates 12-Man Committee by Leez(m): 9:38am On Apr 22, 2016
tuale4u:
Seperation of power does not mean destroying policy of the executive that will benefit Nigerians.

Seperation of powers is not using 35million naira to buy one SUV despite bad economy situation of the country. Insensitivity to the people is not seperation of power.

Seperation of power is not removal of Calabar lagos rail from the Budget despite knowing the economic importance of d project all in d name of myopic politics.

Seperation of power is not maliciously cutting money for major national development project like 2nd Niger Bridge, lagos Ibadan expressway etc for no just cause.

Seperation of power is not diverting money meant for developmental project that will benefit d nation to constituency project that they will steal.

Seperation of power is not rushing the amendmend of CCT act in one week when PIB which has been with them for over a year has not pass a single reading.

Sabotage is not seperation of power. What Saraki NASS is doing currrently is Sabotage and not checkmating d executive.

Majority of Nigerians are against NASS. There is no leader/institution in d world no matter how bad or evil that 100% of the country will be against. Once majority of the people is against an institution, that means dat institution have lost support of that country.

The only people supporting NASS currently are IPOB tout and some PDP fanatics. And they are minority. And they supporting NASS for political reasons and not for National development and growth. Mostly due to bitterness and hatred due to election loss hangover.

Majority of Nigerians are Pro Buhari, Pro APC and anti Saraki, anti NASS as at today. We support Buhari even in hard times like this because we know where we are coming from. And we know why thinks are hard. And we believe 2moro will be better than today after today's sacrifice and pain low oil price has placed on us

Most Nigerians are anti NASS for many reasons. Budget distortions, 36 SUV and Saraki are top reasons why Most Nigerians are against NASS. If majority of Nigerians are against NASS, it means Nigeria public is against NASS. Thus NASS is loosing public support.

IPOB taut and PDP fanatics are deluded. If you think Majority of Nigerians are supporting PDP today because of current temporary difficulties that will be overcome with time, then you are sitting on a long thing!

Majority of Nigerians are not silly. We are all aware of the impact of Oil price in Nigeria economy. Majority of Nigerians knows the cause and source of current hardship is oil price.

What Majority of Nigerians are praying for is for God to give d current govt the wisdom, foresight, energy and zeal to overcome d challenge of low oil price. So dat Nigeria can stand firm irrespective of low oil price.

In our complain and fustration we hope and pray for better days ahead.

As at today, Majority of Nigerians are with Buhari and APC. And Majority of Nigerians are against NASS for using Saraki trial to create problem for the President and Budget 2016.

All d noise over 2016 Budget by NASS would have been opportunity for them to gain public support. But at the end they lost it because they never had good intention. The whole noise was to protect thiet crook saraki so that Federal govt will soft pedal on saraki trial.

At the end, NASS made the Budget worse insread of improving it. They introduce more corruption and padding instead of reducing it. That shows they never had public interest or National interest for all d noise they made about the Budget.

All they wanted was for Buhari to share ghana must go with Money like PDP era and for FG to allow criminal Saraki go free. But they failed.

Those IPOB taut and PDP fanatics defending NASS with d slogan "Seperation of Power" should go and hug transformer. The aim of seperation of power was for good governance not criminality, wastage of resources, and myopic politics.

What NASS is currently doing is abuse of power, abuse of public trust and abuse of Godwill of the Majority of Nigerians
are u ok? for real are u ok?
ipob touts?really ipob touts?
the ppl u call touts are fighting to leave this sham and u say they r backing nass

Nairaland General › Re: Why The 90's Is The Best Decade Ever by Leez(m): 3:07pm On Mar 28, 2016
I was opportuned to have a taste of the 80's and 90's and I must confess the 90's still remains the best ever. In fact, anytime I remember the 90's , I feel nostalgic and wish I could roll back the hands of time grin. Many will argue that the 80's was the best decade ever, some will tell you its the 70's, some will go for the 60's, some the 50's some will even go for the 2000's grin. For me , the 90's beats these decades hands down and here goes my reasons...

THE MUSIC
The 90's was no doubt the era of good and splendid music. From hiphop to rap to soul and even rock. Just have a look at foreign masterpiece like Snoop Dogg's who am I (Whats my name), The notorious BIG Juicy,https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/biggie-crown.jpg Dr dre's (Still dre), Lauryn Hill's Doo Woop ( That thang) . These were classic songs I still even listen to till today. Even coming back home to songs like Seyi Sodunmu's Love me jejehttps://net.tooxclusive.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/Seyi-Sodimu.jpg, to the Fela Kuti'shttps://venturesafrica.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Fela-Kuti.png, Iyogogo and many more. Unlike the crap kids listen to today grin.. I mean the davido's wizkid or wizboy whatever his name his , sean tizzle, olamide who sings like nothing but a danfo thug... Music is honestly what it ought to be and what it used to be.

The politics
Oh this was a great era of politics both home and abroad. You turn on your transistor only to hear of a coup attempted by Major Gideon Orka,https://www.informationng.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Sani-Abacha.jpg or one by Gen Sani Abacha, or the MKO Abiola saga and lots more. Newspaper were more fun to read then, any beer palour you go then, it was 90% sure it will be politics they are arguing about grin. Unlike today, all we read on the news is about an accident that happened on and expressway or Buhari travelling to china for one meeting grin, Obasanjo this, yar' adua that. Politics is going down the drain in today's Nigeria. Even crossing boarders and going foreign, you hear of the Rodney King verdict and L.A. riots tear the nation apart, OJ Simpson chase, Bill Clinton, and thousands more. Comm'on , this was an era that can never be rivaled .

The Movies
Titanic, The good fellas, The lion king, con air, brave heart, dumb and dumber, My own private Idaho, white men can't jump, Billie Madison... Time can't just permit me to mention them all. Even Nigerian movies were classical then. I still have collection of movies like living in bondage, Nneka the pretty serpent, blood money, issakaba, domitila and lots more. Today, I am extremely ashamed of Nollywood as it can be very embarrassing to watch. All they do now is knockbusters with little funds with the aim of making useless profit. You see films in Nollywood of today like spidergirl grin,. I recently saw a movie one day titled ''I Want To Suck Your Blood''. I really laughed out loud. Nollywood is going down the drain.

The Fashion
Nothing just beats the fashion of the 90's. From the Alexander McQueen spring of 1997 to the Azzedine Alaïa shows of 1991 to calvin klein spring 1994 to the Balenciaga spring. The afro hair styles people carry about just blended with the atmosphere. Even here in Nigeria, fashion was at its peak and its best. People like Miss Sade Thomas, the great fashion designer were awesome https://41.media.tumblr.com/347356fcbd80c1d35297f13cda5d9f31/tumblr_mlq9brrhZp1s0i6geo1_400.jpg https://40.media.tumblr.com/b9142e160f25a8f1926e079e96658648/tumblr_mjqdkgwxJ01s0i6geo1_r1_400.jpg https://40.media.tumblr.com/a2c6334569c2fe49dcb588cf5e2b4f5d/tumblr_mizvklv7LN1s0i6geo1_400.jpg.

The Education
You can't argue with me that the quality of education of this era wasn't at its best. Although I must confess this started from era beyond. Today, we see young Nigerians wriggling their way through the university just to earn a degree. Many parents don't even care about their children's future anymore. They rather prefer to see them in the streets hawking pepper and okra and make money for them .

The Technology
The 90's really was an era of technology that really changed our lives for good. These technologies really layed the platform for today's technology From the walkman, to the nintendo's gameboy, to kids cruising around in barbie jeeps to pagers (I honestly prefer this to cell phones grin) also, who will ever forget the ever green play station 1, Apples Imac G3 Comm' on, https://www.defeatboredom.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/palm-pilot-1000-640x536.jpg https://www.defeatboredom.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/Discman_D121-640x713.jpg https://www.defeatboredom.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/game-boy-color-640x480.jpg https://www.defeatboredom.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/playstation.jpg

The Sports
The 90's was obviously an era of great sport moments. From basketball, to cricket, to boxing , athletics etc Who will ever forget the '94 olympics where Nigeria clinched gold, soccer for example also saw the establishment of many great players like Gheorghe Hagi, Rivaldo, Ze roberto, Van Basten, lotar Mathaus, Baggio, Ronaldo, Figo, Romario and lots more. Even on our home turf, we had the likes of yekini,https://cdn.dailypost.ng/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Rashidi-Yekini1-300x201.jpg Kanuhttps://news.bbc.co.uk/olmedia/635000/images/_639564_kanu300.jpg George Finidi https://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/football_pics/7121finidi-betis.jpgand co. They made football ore fun to watch unlike the Mikels, Iwobi's of today

The Slang
The 90's was an er of slangs. I just can mention them all.... grin 'Sup, b Bangin'/Slammin Crib ,Bama ,Ghetto, Shiznit, Whassup...Time just can't permit me to mention them all.

I tasted both the 80's and 90's and I must confess its just the best decade ever. Far better than the 80's, 70's 60's 50's and beyond. Even better than the 2000's for our newer generation of kids grin

Feel free to add yours.

Yoruba media at it again. Igbos open your eyes...the plan is to suspend all work going at Enugu International Airport until investigation( to be announced soon) is completed; similar excuse used to stop Second River Niger Bridge...safety nonsense excuse! When did they start caring about the safety of the Igbos? LOL! The River Niger Bridge suspension started like this with an article of this manner...like joke like joke, it got suspended! The objective as usual...always plotting to jeopardize SE economic gateway...to render the Enugu International Airport potential useless, encouraging Igbos to use Lagos and Abuja Airports...enrich their state tax coffers. Any attempt to stop work at Enugu Airport must be resisted by the Igbos! Enough of this nonsense...as I type now, Second Niger Bridge is still suspended going to a year now!

DARK REBEL'S VERSE

I'm a centaur, demigod, metal like Megatron
got canonised as the patron of metaphors
quit that bull talk, I am not a matador
I raise the bat like I'm Alfred Pennyworth
fiend with the pen, rappers get shredded
Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D, still hydra-headed
silent assassin, spazzing like Manson
even bïtch-slapped the fierce out of Sasha
Kanye West, gimme Scarlett Johansen
or I place that tech on the eldest Kardashian
David Berkowitz, gore and grand
The child of Sam Loco - I guess I'm the son of Sam
gripe the Nina, tightest squeezer
see me & the mic, we like Ike and Tina
cos I just beat her, Al Queda leader
rats snitch on me & die of Lassa fever
got breasts to stroke, cess to smoke
I'm that seed Makavelli sowed years ago
drop bombs in moshpits, the glock? I cöck it
don't act like a dick, I'm Lorena Bobbit
I finger pop it and vets will bleed
mess with the Zohan, but don't mess with me
I ace the game, box like David Blaine
dominate this bïtch like 50 shades of Grey
Abu Dhabi scion, rapping awesome
but y'all don't fit like spiderman in Gotham
You preposterous and you ludicrous
like the Prophet Mohammed on a crucifix
hemp trafficker, rocking that Nazi swastika
made my bucks off this Afro vernacular
so claiming I'm regular is as dumb as a blind man using binoculars
loco, not local, more like Zorro
melt the ice till there's none to love Coco
yank the piece, I'm really caprice
either Koba or Caesar, the Gorilla MC
my verse is the catalyst, high off the cannabis
This vocab of mine bamboozle every analyst
blossom with script, suckers get beat
had the wind give me gold, then threw caution to it
street poet, cause decapitations
The genius behind JFK's assassination
rouse the crowd, beam with the sound
Ali in this round, my clique is the pound
After this I'mma sleep on the couch
or go make some sweet love to my Kryptonian spouse
I'm outtie...

My raps aiming and shooting bullets, you bad fated: I bully bullies and rookies, the truth is you can't make it
I was right when I talked about the Nairaland cypher, sh*t! Last year, I got the whole o' Nairaland ciphering

Brother listen clearly; you know that I'll never disrespect but
You can never be a star if you were covered with asterisks..
Yah! Nobody capable of beating my intelligence!! My tongue travelled 8 miles and spitting like its Eminem
Its evident! Ama take advantage of their negligence; and show them what it takes to be a moda effing president!!
Yo, I be breaking - all the bones of the haters; I got close to sedatives
Gave a dose to the fakers, when I ball for niggas that hate it
Give the blows, to Okocha, When Jay rise(Jreyez); Ama show you how I smoke conversation!!!
Perparazi taking shots like he ain even want a trouser; I know you see(UC) but I ain even used the browser.
God-Flow's the magic, used a few abracadabra; I'm outstanding, a lyrical version of bouncers
And Darkrebel wey be wan con dey form like he be spitting sh*t
I go put Micheal behind these bars like say na prison break
My metaphors no tight shey? Navas self go hear am; Edo boiy dey para i put the blame on the vietnams, yo
Back to the bars, No I'm - black to the bone; I bring disaster, this time I'm getting cassidy owned
Shout out to BIS on Nairaland, dude was a Glad on the throne; and ffuck Mikuz, ffuck him for being wack on the throne
Dude I'd be snapping your bones and cracking your skulls if you disrespect

You ffuck around and get struck in a flash like Barry Allen
Shout out to krone, y'all know the glad is cool; shout out to teddybiyasi, shout out to Gladys too
Shout out to Jigsaw, I'm sorry that I had him schooled; and shout out to Ishilove although she always acts a ffool
But then,

You better show me some love if you dey gbadun my grammar, sarcastically speaking, I'm racking bandannas
Nobody keeps it lock down like I do with my penitentiary bars; my head set, its why my accessories last

Crime › Re: How I Make More Than N300,000 Monthly By Begging - Drugs Suspect by Leez(m): 8:45am On Jan 25, 2016
Blackberrybabes:
Kehinde Olatubosun, 56, from Ibadan, Oyo State, was arrested on Saturday night along with 18 other drug addicts at a joint in Ipodo, Ikeja.

PremiumTimes reports that a team of Rapid Response Squad Decoy had on Monday night traced a stolen phone to the joint, leading to the arrest of a three-man gang mobile phone thieves, three hard drug peddlers and 13 drug addicts, the police said in a statement on Sunday.

Mr. Olatubosun stated that he made over N10, 000 daily begging at the Mobolaji Bank Anthony
Roundabout; beside the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital; Toyin Street; and Opebi.

“All days of the week, I’m always in Mobolaji Bank Anthony Roundabout, Toyin Street roundabout and Opebi. At times, I collaborate with beggars. Whatever we make, we share but I get a larger share,” said the suspect.
“What I do is that, I get LASUTH drug prescription papers. I get it from their waste bin. With this in my hand, I convince motorists, passengers and passersby that I have a relative who is in dire need of money to buy drugs and I show them the prescription papers.
“This is what I have been doing since I was deported from Germany in 2004. Before the deportation, I was working as Electrical Engineer in Bauhusa, Colon, Germany. I was in Germany for 12 years before I was deported.”

Mr. Olatubosun‎ said his deportation from Germany was after he was caught in possession of hard drugs.
“I have four children. Two are in Germany with my wife. One is in Texas, United States and another in Nigeria,” he said.
“Unfortunately, all the money I make from this begging goes into drugs. Day after day, I am always there, seven days a week. I make more money on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. I make more than N10,000:00 on weekends.
“As I speak to you, I’m not on drugs but I am experiencing withdrawal symptoms, that is, the effect of not taking drugs for sometimes.”
The suspect said he was at the Ipodo drug joint when the RRS operatives raided the place and added that it was the first time he would be arrested.

“I am praying that RRS release me. I promise I won’t go back to drug again. Where I live presently was given to me by my in-law.”
Another drug suspect, Dada Ajayi, arrested at the drug joint during the police raid, said that addiction had destroyed his life.
“‎I am trying to get over it now; drug has been the cause of my stagnation in life,” said Mr. Ajayi, 48, who said he had been hooked on drugs for over 17 years.

I frequent that joint because I have nowhere to go. I have lived the better part of my life consuming drugs. As I talk to you, the remains of my wife is in Ikeja mortuary. She was taken to Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja. I was asked to bring N150,000 for surgery but I didn’t have N50,000 on me then. She died in the process.

Right now, I have lost my family because of my drug addiction. I don’t know where my children are or how to start my life again. I can’t stop going to that drug joint because it is the only place where I get consolation. It is the only place I’m at peace with myself.
If anybody want to help us, they should arrest the drug barons or dealers. Arresting us won’t solve drug problem because without the sellers there won’t be the takers.
You arrest the dealers, I mean the merchants, then, you have cut the supply and thus saved us from getting drugs. Without that, we would always find our ways there whenever we are released.”

A group of angry Nigerians gathered near the Arwyp hospital in Kempton Park, Johannesburg today to protest against police brutality after a policeman allegedly suffocated a Nigerian. But officials told reporters that the man died after swallowing what is thought to be drugs. Police officers rushed him to the health facility in an attempt to save his life. permission to quote you sir.

if you were to be Ambode and the whole of Igbo traders voted against you during election, won't you do worst.huh?

for me he is paying our brother back in the coin they paid him.

like wise what buhari is doing eight now.

Do you know if PDP comes back to power now, that the Yoruba's will still be represented 60% .
like wise APC.

the problem with our people is that we do blind politics and we segregate a lot.

he is not from here or their.

If Aguiyi ironsi had listened to ojukwu and and nzeogwu there wouldn't have been any war.

he was made to understand that northerners r plotting to over throw him , instead of listen to his kinsmen he was trusting in one Nigeria. untill he was murdered and that started the killings of civilians which ojukwu could nor take..

brother nah we dey do our self.
no way u're igbo

Somebody should go and check well whether those people are Osu? We cannot expect better from Efulefu people that are without knowledge of their own culture and people.

Igbo Traditional marriage should be ban from Igbos that marry outsiders. There is no point, let them have their white wedding and move on.

Imagine putting that abomination on display in Enugu. Wat precedent are dey trying to set? Why is igbo people things always different from other? Are we the most stupid people in Nigeria?

Can a Hausa/Fulani or Yoruba man tolerate the intolerable?

Custodians of Igbo culture better wake up from their sleep and start checkmating all this Efulefu and Osu people.
