Business › Re: Banks Have Stopped Giving Dollars. What is Your Experience? by LegacyB: 7:42pm On Nov 22, 2022
Ayomipoe:
To be honest, i don’t know if you are being intentionally naive or you just want to be adamant about this point you are making and refuse to see where the problem lies.
The problem is demand and supply, low supply equals high demand and prices.
The idea that scarcity should not then be absurd is honestly a petty, tantrum-like notion. Humans will continually evolve and seek better arbitrage where there is one to be gained. It will be when you wish you buy power bank 10000mah and you hear the price at 20,000NGN for a used one and you say the merchant is a thief, remember lack of electricity should not be absurd sir. Have a fine day.
I know the truth is hard . But note we Nigerians are the ones who create a fertility black market yet we complain of scarcity as if we have now adopted dollar as our currency. This may not be the whole picture but know it’s definitely a huge part of the problem .

Ayomipoe:
It is idiocy for me to exchange my money at the Govt rate when I know that the value that the Govt has pegged it is absurd, worse even if I cannot buy at the supposed rate they are pegged it at, why do I then sell to them at that rate?
So scarcity should not be absurd then . You can’t eat your cake and have it.

HardMirror:
I went to a Wema bank branch yesterday to withdraw from my Domicillary account, but i was told they have stopped giving dollars. I wanted to make transfer and they said that was also impossible.

Who else is facing this challenge?

Note i still was able to withdraw last week. Could this be from CBN?
Bro my opinion will be different here am not gonna join the band wagons. Tell the Bank you want to exchange at the official rate you’ll have your money . But the issue is most people want to sell to Black market and still blame the Bank for scarcity. This is Nigeria and we spend NAIRA qed....... so if dollar is scare it’s no issue. Bro look into the mirror.

Penguin2:
Lol!

Tonye Cole is wasting his time. Somebody wey court say him no be candidate for next year.

And even if he remains an APC candidate into the election, he will come distant third behind Sim and Abe.

Obi has already told Obidients who to vote for in Rivers and that one is signed and sealed.

It will be delivered when Wike keeps his own end of the bargain.
You must think the world revolves around Obi.......
Election will definitely clear many doubts.

[quote author=PlayMaker14 post=118536921]Happy Birthday Sir Goodluck Ebele Jonathan..

The Politician with class, self respect, integrity and GRACE.

Your legacies are there for everyone to see, you gave us strength to have faith in government and that's why we sensible Nigerians are behind Peter Obi.

In your time, we had relative peace as a country and a very robust economy.... You'll never be forgotten.

God bless you real good Sir.

Happy birthday once again Sir Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Live Long.[/quote
Na waaah ooooo. What country. Imagine using integrity in sentence with Jonathan.
When Buhari leaves we go hear words like Father of all . God sent etc. The people of Nigeria truly live their oppressors.

Bros she is 82 years old and still in the House of Representatives. What do you call that if not someone who wants to die on the seat. Not everything is wrong with your country. No matter how much we speak evil of Nigerian it is still ours.
She stepped down cos Democrats lost the house Simple.

Obidatti2023 #WeNoDeyReplyNonsense!
Soludo is far ahead of Obi in terms of Achievements. So check well on who is inconsequential. And as he advised , even Obi knows he cannot win!

How do I even start comprehending the lies that a 2KM road connects 32 communities? These Nigerian politicians and their futile attempts to lower my IQ.....
Bro the 32 communities got me rolling on the floor with much laughter. The whole of Arepo is even nearly just one community.

How do we verify or claims now?

Politics › Re: Soludo: Peter Obi’s Alleged Investment In Anambra Is Worth Nothing by LegacyB: 7:11am On Nov 11, 2022
LegendHero:
Soludo destroyed Obi in that interview. That is the same thing we always say on Nairaland here, why will you save money when your people are dying of hunger and need good road?

Obiano came and spent everything while Soludo already borrowed 100billion. What is the advantage of Obi saving that money to Anambra people?

To now crown it, Soludo claimed Obi investment then is worth Next to Nothing!
Get ur facts correctly please. Soludo is yet to borrow a dime. He has only proposed To borrow 90b to add to his budget for 2023. To manage budget deficit for next year.
Politics › Re: Anambra Firetruck Fail To Dispense Water To Quench Fire; Bucket Used (Video) by LegacyB: 12:59am On Nov 09, 2022
trutharena:
So a governor shouldn’t build structure that will outlast him? What framework did he put in place that will keep the fire service running irrespective of the impact of the government in power?

Do you mean Obi bought 1000 fire service trucks and Obiano carrier bulldozer to wreck them?

So if Obi is elected president, he will build his utopia so that the next president can erase it off? So what will be his importance?

Peter Obi is a compound failure. Anyone repackaging him will never know peace.
Yes everyone except those with sentiments knows Obi was just an average governor at best. We know they are only repacking him to suit their narrative. But stop all this your curses . It’s not worth it , politicians no really send you like that. All of them without exception.

You mean you must vote along the tribal line?
Not so pal. I have even always voted to the contrary. But at this material time out of these 3 top contenders Tinubu is the best. Just remove sentiments and hatred sometimes you would see the reality.

Yes, really unfortunate!! grin
To be candid you’re correct . But when we must pick just 1 out of these 3 top contenders representing Nigeria cos they are a reflection of who we are as a country. I would rather vote Tinubu out of personal convictions. Than someone who is worse than him or someone who will go there to use the first 4 years to experiment.

well, he is entitled to his vote, and you too, but the difference is, his choice can influence 1000 more people. His followers who see him as their role model, and you, just a few, maybe only you sef. At the end, you're Only wasting your vote trying to vote Tinubu. Majority of the people are voting obi
Macaroni just has 1 vote like me. And I assure you we both can influence ,even if it’s just 5 persons I can it’s okay. As far as Nigeria is what’s on our mind.

So, you place politics and tribalism above common sense?
Well you are also free to have your say. Since I won’t vote Obi its okay for you to stereotype me. Your definitions sha not mine. For me I believe it’s illogical to vote someone with just a sweet mouth and less action.

you would've loved to vote Osibanjo but now you're voting the same Tinubu who cheated Osibanjo in the APC primaries? You do realise that Osibanjo would've won the primaries if not that TINUBU bribed the delegates with $25k, don't you?
Why would you support the same man who robbed your preferred candidate?
I understand your argument. But with an open mind please check if those delegates are Nigerians ( Yoruba, Hause, Igbo, Fulani , Ibibio) or Ghanaians?

Lol...Tinubu won't and can't win.
Atiku even has a better chance in terms of acceptability.
Tinubu would have gotten away with his lies if we were in the 90s but Nigerians know him too well to be deceived.
Those rooting for him are either his beneficiaries or those hoping to get something from him.

Peter Obi clearly is the best and He will win.
Well, some of us are just factual. we have never and do not hope to benefit anything from him in our individual capacity. Obi just like the minority who will always have their say . But in a Democratic settings majority Tinubu will have their way.

Point of correction, I am not part of the WE that made the noise.
I can't even vote Buhari ahead of Tinubu as much as I dislike Tinubu.
Those who made the noise were either ignorant or self-serving.

The same reason I won't vote Tinubu after all I know about him
Well all the best pal. Best of luck. But I hope Tinubu wins. Though he is just the best amongst the 3 terrible realistic candidates we have.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Trump Hints At Returning To White House In 2024 by LegacyB: 9:03am On Nov 05, 2022
Naira20:
Lol...Trump is far better than Joe
And Peter Obi, for now amongst the 3 leading contenders , is the best.
Both are business minded but ready to put their country first.

Peter Obi is the only reason most Nigerians have a renewed hope in Nigeria, apologies to APC.
He is the one uniting Nigerians across ethnic divides.
Who respects America now?
Well I respect your opinion. But to me Obi is just same noise we made about Buhari he has no government at the center acumen and a poor record in true as an Anambra governor. Donald Trump is even worse even in terms of Business.
