Not everybody use the regular remittance channel. I know of most guys that only send money through bitcoins and that won’t even be covered in the regular channels. Other people also do crimes and they send the proceeds through illegal means, so it will be ridiculous by citing those cases as an argument because it’s outside the norms.

Bro almost most of my guys that I know do car businesses. Sell cars to Naija and use other means to convert the money back and they are also employed in corporate businesses. Even with this Covid-19 work from home level, you will be seeing guys working multiple jobs from home and grossing $300k-$400k yearly. I mean ordinary boys with entry level year of experience. Western countries present better opportunities than any Asian countries you can think of.

That is why you see that most Nigerians arrested for drug pushing crimes are always in those Asian countries because there isn’t that much opportunities there so guys resort to quick money.

Lastly to buttress my point, PWC did a report on diasporan remittance to Nigeria in association with the World bank and you can clearly see that Nigerians in Western countries have the largest remittance to the country. I can’t even find Asian diasporan on the top list.

I’m talking about Apple, Microsoft, Visa, Amazon, and etc. The reason why you have such population being sent is because it’s a black engineer event and normally companies sent black employee to interview people.
