armadeo:I’m telling you. If the government can go for the head of the police and fire like 5 different one, the normal officers will be shivering and they will dare not even take chances with bribe. To rule people they have to fear you, the government needs to make the police fear authorities. Sack their head multiple times then see the little cadre fall into order. |
ZombieTAMER:We voted for their son in 2011 and he won 5 out of teh 6 SW states. Presently, that is not the bone of contention, the issue here is shaming the South Southerner on a thread that is totally not related to them. You are an enemy to the SS that is feigning as friend. To me, I care less about what the SS thinks about us but I’m just tryna point out your own hypocrisy. |
To solve this menace the government needs to be tactical and deploy the stick approach. You cannot treat this menace by arresting policemen on the road because the more you arrest, a whole lot of others are perpetrating the arrest of innocent citizens in other places. The biggest culprit in all these are the DPOs, they are most times partner in crime to the other officers and they always set target (money) for the officers to make daily. To control this, the government should start querying and sacking DPOs whose unit is engaged in this nefarious practices. If there is complain against some police formation, the DPO should be queried alongside the other officers and eventually sacked together if found culpable. If the DPOs are gone after by the government, then they can control the units under them even without government interference because they wouldn’t want to lose their jobs. By this way we can have an effective monitoring system that can cure this police menace to some extent. You can’t change the police mindset by arresting erring officers alone, because if you arrest 50 police today, 2000 others are arresting innocent citizens in other locations. |
ZombieTAMER:While a lot of Igbo girls are languishing in brothels and currently being bleeped left right and center by Aboki mesuya in the whole of Lagos! You’ve carried your hatred to the South Southerners again. You are always hating on everybody except yourself. |
Walahi the Igbos don suffer. PDP don divorce them! APC don divorce them! Even Ojukwu party APGA is currently not considering them for the presidency slot in 2023. How could a major tribe in Nigeria be relegated to the background like this? I need an explanation right now before I vex call UN to settle this matter. |
Rumxy:Bro your article is not a comparative analysis of the three region pre-independence. It was just an article glorifying a certain part of the eastern region with its billionaires. Should we also start mentioning each billionaire in the western region as a comparative analysis? The New York Times made mention of the three region while the article you posted is just talking about billionaires in Igbo land without any reference to other region. What should I do with the link then? |
Rumxy:Lol, how many American own business in Nigeria? How many British own businesses in Nigeria? How many South Africans own businesses in Nigeria? The denominator is that people migrate to places where there is economic prosperity. Because the Yorubas don’t go to the SE to do business does not mean they are not successful. C’mon I thought you were intelligent. Have you ever seen people do urban-rural migration? Why should any thinking person leave the SW with his purchasing power and go to the SE to live? Have you ever for once wondered why a lot of Igbos migrate to the West? Can I ask why? |
Mandeyy:It’s possible dosen’t mean it’s a norm or reality, seems it’s your brain that is dys.functional just like you opined. Can a Yoruba man contest to be governor of Anambra? yes that’s possible Will a Yoruba man become the governor of Anambra through the ballot? No, that’s not possible. Can you see the examples I stated above and the limit of your reasoning? |
myobjective:Lol you captured them right, I don laugh tire. Their hard works is carrying drugs all around the world and crook way to make money without thinking about the consequences! |
Makuos19:First skyscraper First stadium First TV station First composed regional investors (Odua Group) List one achievement of the eastern region that predates 1966. Don’t mention first indigenous university coz UI was already in the west hence no need to site another uni in the west at that time. |
Rumxy:What do you mean by Igbos well ahead of the mighty Yorubas before the civil war? Are you even sure of what you’re saying, even late Azikwe will be ashamed of you. Below is the New York time post in 1959 about the region of Nigeria before 1960. The conservative North, 75 percent Muslim and containing about half of Nigeria's population, is governed by the Northern people's congress. The premier is Alhaji Sir Ahmadu Bello, who carries the title of Saraduana of Sokoto. In the East, where the intelligent, energetic Ibo tribes predominates the controlling party is the National Council of Nigeria and the Cameroons, headed by one of the most dazzling of Nigerian politicians, Dr. Nnamdi Azikwe, premier of the Eastern region, who is known throughout the country as Zik. In the somewhat more developed west, which is Yoruba Country, the government is run quite well, it is said by Chief Awolowo, an able politician, and his Action group. The West points with pride to its universal free primary education, free medical treatment for children up to 18years of age, agricultural planning and other social programs of which no other Nigerian region can boast of. You can clearly see how the western region was described. We are the pioneer of the first among first in Nigerian history and I’m just surprised that you can even equate the Eastern region to the western region in terms of economic dominance That’s absurd!

Makuos19:Show me a list of Igbo entrepreneurs with renowned industries like the mentioned below or keep shut forever! Remeber the keyword here is renowned and not chukwudi company that is non-existent or a 2 by 2 shop
|
Makuos19:You showed me a contribution by a Quora user, I showed that of a Nairaland user. What is the difference? Do you even know what is called Quora? Do you know I also contribute on Quora and anyone can contribute on Quora. What are you talking about self, it seems you are confused! |
Makuos19:What is the difference between Quora and Nairaland? Can’t I use a pseudo name on Quora too? Why are you reasoning like this for God sake. Are you not the same guy that was shouting about Bill gate of Africa the other time? |
Rumxy:You haven’t answered my question, what measure is used to come to your assertion. Could it be another IPOB bureau of statistics? |
Makuos19:This is also a thread created by an Igbo guy on here giving credence to the Yoruba prowess in IT
|
Makuos19:Another reply on that same Quora thread! When does a Quora response become a certified statements. Are you even okay at all bro!
|
Rumxy:m Where do you guys always see all this fake statistics. Which source give credence to the fact that Igbo owns more private business than Yorubas? Can you provide one reputable sources to buttress your fact. Are you talking about standard business approved by CAC or you’re talking about informal businesses? Do you know the number of Yorubas that are traders alone, either small scale or medium scaled? Take the movie industry for example, the Yorubas are the one that controlled that industry with the highest generating gross revenue from movies. Kemi Adetiba and co. See the music industry for example, the Yorubas clearly dominate that industry and the leading artist with high gross revenue are majorly Yorubas Take the educational institutions for example, the Yorubas boast of the highest professor and the highest number of universities in this nation. We are home to the most private universities in Nigeria and Convenant university (Private) alone is ranked than any universities in the SE in terms of research! I just give few examples to buttress my claim, can you give me one reputable source to claim the Igbos have the highest number of businesses in Nigeria? |
ALCOHOLKILLS:Hahahahaha mention one Igbo musician presently richer than Davido. |

Do you see the author of your acclaimed post: George Ibenegbu and the acclaimed source is a blog website. You deserve to be flogged!
|
Rumxy:Please read this thread as proof: This is almost 300 pages of the list of Yoruba entrepreneurs. https://www.nairaland.com/3918290/yorubas-most-industriousrichest-educated-tribe |
Makuos19:I don’t have time to be going in circles. Your other Igbos with complex intelligence than yours already conceded to that fact that Ogun houses more industries. I’m not talking about 2 by 2 shops, we are taking of industrial complex. |
Rumxy:Lol, I can clearly see that you are high. Can you see those places I listed is not Lagos? I listed Ibadan alone. How will Igbos dominate 40% of Ibadan traders for God sake? Are you sure you are okay bro! Do you know what is called entrepreneurs? How will you say Igbos have lot of entrepreneurs than the Yoruba ? Haba all available evidence points to the contrary Mr. Man. |
Makuos19:Why is this guy like this. You are using military government to judge Lagos. Do you even Know Adewumi Agbaje was Governor of Enugu state in 1998? Can we conclude Enugu is a Yoruba area? |
Makuos19:Ogun state alone houses lot of industries and the IGR of Ogun alone is more than any state in the SE. New York consist of a lot of other nationals in their huge number, can we conclude New York is not for America? Seems your land grabbing already crossed the East. |
Makuos19:Is Lagos your father land or ancestral land of the Igbos? Why am I even discussing with someone with this level of IQ like yours? |
Makuos19:Why should people know Aba touts when they don’t travel to your South East. The reason why you guys know so much about Yoruba land is because you have swamped our region and you know everything about us. I’ve been to the East, I’ve seen the poverty, forget about the rubbish chestbeating online by you guys, that SE is not a place for growth. I’ve been to Enugu and Ebonyi, I’ve been to Nkalagu precisely and the level of poverty I saw in those place is a matter of concern. Even major roads are rubbish, you can’t even drive those roads without getting heart attacks. People won’t know coz they see the SE as an alien land such that little Nigerians try to even sojourn to the East compared to how people swamp the SW. |
Rumxy:What are you talking about? Do you mean there ain’t Yorubas dealing in retail business ? Do you mean to say the main market Bodija, Ogunpa, Gate, Aleshinloye, etc in Ibadan for example are not consisted of rich traders? You guys problem is that you’re under the fixation that everybody is in competition with you and you just boast over irrelevances. An IT professional alone that is successful can generate millions of dollars in revenue in a short time, something a retailer might not be able to generate in their lifetime. Look at all those Lace, ankara, and Aso Ebi market, do you know how much all those people generate? You’re just an example of empty vessels make the loudest noise. The Yorubas practice a highly diversified economy, we have IT- Traders - industries- entrepreneurs- professionals -entertainers, etc. it’s not a must for everybody in a tribe to become traders coz that even showed your sub-level reasoning faculty. |
Makuos19:And what are the Aba tout doing. The last time I travelled along that axis we were told not to even get down from the bus to buy food in Aba market coz the touts will just move your money. Aba alone is a dangerous place where touts reigned Supreme. |
Makuos19:What happened to Mike and Otedola? Someone that pioneered indigenous telecommunication company of billions in revenue is who you’re talking about? Mention any Igbo man dead or alive that can measure with Mike Adenuga in terms of entrepreneurship prowess. |
Makuos19:The top 5 richest male and female in Nigeria featured prominent Yorubas. The Forbes under 30 richest entrepreneurs are dominated by Yorubas. The IT sectors in Nigeria are dominated by Yorubas. The industrial mainstay of Nigeria is in Ogun state bar Lagos. The Insurance, banking, telecommunications, education institution are dominated by Yoruba players. SW region is the highest attractor of foreign investment in Nigeria. The Yorubas dominate startup companies in Nigeria. This is not a matter of bragging, this is known facts scattered online. I’m even tired of going around in circles |
