Celebrities / See What Yvonne Nelson Said About Nigerian Men by LegenduryNueLs: 9:15pm On Jul 09, 2015
Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson, was hard on
Nigerian men on her recent interview.

The actress who was interviewed on Genevieve
Magazine expressed her views fully on marriage.
When asked which country, her future husband will
come from, this is what she had to say, ‘I can’t say I
want a Nigerian or a Gambian or a Cameroonian.
When it happens, it happens. But Nigerian men can
lie. Nigerian guys can lie for the whole of Africa.
They will come with all the lies because they know
that women respond to the things they hear. The
lies are just so crazy. And I’m not some 19 year-old
who just wants to have fun. I’m not in that place
anymore. So I’m taking my time to get it right.’

Yvonne had in the past had relationships with
triple MG’s frontman, Iyanya and Chocolate city
rapper Ice Prince.

What’s you take on this? Is she right? Will love to
hear your opinion.

Celebrities / Peace Hyde Believes That Her Assets Has Nothing To Do With Her Success – Photo by LegenduryNueLs: 9:08pm On Jul 09, 2015
UK-Born, Ghanaian actress, Peace Hyde, has
discarded the credits given to her assets for
making her successful.

The actress, during an interview with NET disclosed
that the curves got the attention but her talent,
delieved the needed thing which is what matters.
‘I don’t think they are what have made me good at
what I do. I believe people will always find
something to fixate on and that cannot really be
helped, however after you get the attention, what
do you have to offer? I believe talent goes a longer
way than looks and that is something that my mum
has always taught me. I don’t sit on TV and keep
quiet because of my looks, you have to be able to
anchor a show intelligently for an hour and that
has nothing to do with looks.’

Peace Hyde made her acting debut on the movie,
‘Protege’ which gave her the opportunity to work
along with Steph-Nora Okere and Wale
Macaulay.

Hyde is also a graduate of Middlesex University in
the United Kingdom, where she got a first class
degree in Psychology.

Nairaland / General / Why You Should Accept Rejection - See Reasons by LegenduryNueLs: 11:36pm On May 18, 2015
Why You Should Accept Rejection

With a lot said about rejection. It's painful and
discouraging nature, etc. There is more reason why
you should accept and deal with rejection.

Although rejection varies from each other ranging at the one at work, rejection at school by classmates, rejection from that special someone we can't spend a day without their thought. Feeling rejected from life issues especially the lost of a loved one. But all this forms of rejection has one outcome which is pain.

While you are bitter towards rejection, it's advised to do it moderately. Spend time to be your self and
bounce back because there are a lot of reasons why
you should accept rejection and move on.

Also Read: What Happens When You Don't Have
Self-Esteem

• You should accept rejection because it is part of
humans existence. Long before your emergence in
life. A lot of people have suffered rejection in one
way or the other. I strongly believe that every human
being has gone through rejection. It's as old as man.

• Rejection is a motivator - Rejecting your CD to be
played on the airwaves or declining your job
proposal is a bid to motivate you in adding more
effort.

• Accepting Rejection opens you to other
opportunities. If every request is accepted then
nobody will make advances for other opportunities.
Being rejected opens you to check out other places.

• Accepting rejection builds patience and courage.
Remember nothing good comes easy even some
famous personalities in the world suffered rejection
on their first attempt.

• Accepting rejection heals us quickly therefore
creates room for acquisition of more knowledge.

• Rejection leads to self improvement - If she tells
you " you are good but..." You are to check out what
your ain't doing right and improve on yourself.
Maybe not for her but for someone better.

These are my reasons why you should accept
rejections. If you have more reasons, you can share

Romance / Topics To Avoid In Your Conversation With Your Partner by LegenduryNueLs: 2:52am On May 16, 2015
In developing a healthy and keen relationship with
your partner. There are series of topics, that are
rancid and cause more harm than good on the
relationship, with you having little or no idea of this
topics effect.

Our partners are Humans too and don't wish to be
compared or categorised juxtapose with other
materialistic things or people. The partner may not
say it but expect to be place far ahead of your other
priorities.
While indulging in a conversation with this special
someone, avoid going deep on the following topics
I'm about to state.

1.Your Ex

Your Ex shouldn't in anyway be the sole topic in-
between your conversations. It may seem harmless
but talking about your Ex in detail with your partner
may trigger ticks of jealousy especially when you let
your current partner know that you still love your Ex
but had to separate under uncontrollable situations.
This will usher a tenuous feeling into the relationship.

2.Your Newly Acquired Property

While having a chit chat with your partner, avoid
dwelling on your newly acquired property for a long
time. You might talk about it for a while but don't
refer to it too often. It's offensive and sends out the
feeling that the acquired property is more valuable
than your partner.

3.Your Family

Its cool discussing the activities to your partner but it may turn negative if it's all you have to talk about
anytime you two are discussing. If the discussion
about your family is about money. Your mate will
easily get bored. If its about Who does this in the
home and who does that to the home your mate may in turn perceive that particular family member with a discouraging view of the person even if the person eventually changes.

4.Your Past

Discussing about your past may not be that engaging especially if your past didn't go well. If you constantly discuss about your hurting childhood and adolescent, your partner will be easily worn out
trying to console you.

5.Your Work Or School Mate

Telling your partner about your male friend at work
or male school mate, if you are a woman. Will do
more harm than good to your relationship. This also goes to the men. Telling your female partner about activities of your female friends at work or school will rise suspicion and doubt of faithfulness.

Conclusion

For a relationship to grow. Certain things should be
avoided. If you value your soul mate, avoiding this
topics won't be a big deal.
Over to you. Do you have topics that should be
avoided in a conversation with a partner? Feel free to share with us in the comment section.

Romance / Why A Guy Should Avoid Women With Feminist Mentality by LegenduryNueLs: 2:47pm On May 12, 2015
In my own notion. Any good guy with intrinsic
respect for females shouldn't have or engage in any
long-term relationship with a female having the
attitude of the feminist movement.

A relationship with a women that has the feminist
movement's mentality won't be healthy. As the
females sees men as there competitors and not
companion. A feminist woman doesn't consider
marriage as the holy matrimony, she see it as a
means to acquire new name.

Why You Shouldn't Hook-up in any long-term
relationship with a feminist;

* Feminists are taught to be independent and self-
sufficient. While it might sound nice remember the
institution of a marriage states that one partner
depends on the other for one thing or the other.
That's what keeps the love flowing.

* If you happen to relate with a feminist. She tends
to be defensive and uncontrollable as she sees
nobody else than her self. And as a guy in a
relationship, I don't think you will feel comfortable
when you can't influence the woman you are dating/
marrying.

* A good guy shouldn't indulge in any long-term
relationship with a feminist, because she sees doing
the house work, clean and cook for her husband as
the work of slaves. I bet such marriages doesn't last.

* Feminists were enlightened to believe that
marriage and mothering were conspiracies to
eliminate their female power, worth and voice.
That's to tell, that they are in a relationship just to
compete.

* Feminists, apart from being bad partners, they are
arrogant and pompous at times.

Conclusion
In as much as there are some men unworthy of
several women. And the women resolving to
feminism isn't the solution, as it will always lead to
broken home, divorced family, abandoned children.
If the feminist women are so independent then
there isn't any need to get married because there is
no space for a man in your life.

Over to you guys. Have u had any feminist encounter? cheesy cheesy

my brother, you are yet to see a real hot temper person o. I have once come across a lady who slapped her boss, the boss got her arrested, she was asked to write a statement, she wrote it down that, at that period, she was temporarily mad, which is a normal trait in every human. The boss was begged by the police to forgive her, she insisted she couldn't beg, that she would rather leave the job than to beg. She claimed the oga talked rudely to her which triggered her crazy veins into actions. Story cut short, she lefy the job o.
Being hot tempered is like being temporarily mad indeed, but self control (discipline)is what is needed to curtail it.

How come these people with temper problems dont display it when they see someone physically stronger than them, a soldier, their boss at work, Or governor Fashola, Agbero at bus stop etc

I would think your problem should not discriminate on the personality

Nigeria have been inundate with several ill-lucks,
ranging from oil curse down to the rapacious
figureheads ruling us.

When going through a National Newspaper, the
heading of "IMF advices on further depreciation of
Naira" shocked me. A mono economy like Nigeria
should make provision for investment in other
sectors. If there is need to depreciate the already
dead Naira.

Recall that the Naira was officially depreciated by
28percent from N155 to a Dollar to N197 a Dollar in
November last year.

While the masses suffer, the figureheads are
responsible for the fate of our economy. Many lodge the national money away in developed western and eastern continents. Indirectly boosting their economy.

Europe's major income, comes from taxes incurred
from football and other sport related businesses,
unlike in Nigeria, where little or no attention is paid
to our football and sport sector.

Africa's richest man, Aliko Dangote, has in 2009
expressed it's interest in buying one of England's
established club, Arsenal Fc, which was bashed off by the club owners. This year, he is still insisting on
acquiring the club.

While it might sound as a good development for a
Nigerian to acquire an England based club. Can't the
billionaire buy Nigeria's locally owned club and invest heavily for its reform. And get players like Ronaldo and Neyrma to feature in the team? Won't it be great

if Dangote buys this local club and get england best
coaches like Chelsea's Jose Mourinho or Arsenal's
Arsène Wenger to head this local club? Must Dangote Buy Arsenal??
Several sectors of Nigeria needs investors, yet the
influenced ones look out to the western world to
invest.

Over to You. What's your pick??

Family / Handling Temper Problem by LegenduryNueLs: 4:00pm On May 06, 2015
Temper Problem can be very disturbing especially, if you are known for it. Handling it doesn't happen like magic. It goes slowly till it finishes.

Having temper problem could be associated with
your growing up, mostly if your family sees physical
abuse as a means of correcting a wrong person. If
your parents are into 'Cat nd Dog' fight. You might
reside to be a hot tempered Human and sees nothing wrong in it.

Another example is, when a kid grows up in a violent environment and exposes to hard drugs with bullies. It builds you up with the sentiment that being hot tempered will subdue any physical attack on you.

Being hot tempered may seem normal when little,
but as you develop, there is this realisation and
situation you will encounter that doesn't require your temper in settling. Rather a cool and concentrated head will clear the issues.

When you are known with temper problem, you
notice the distant some Friends » might be from you
always as they avoid annoying you without realising
it. It will leave you looking hopeless because life is
better with people around.

Finally, you discover that it doesn't worth it and
decided to eschew the temper problem ? Here is
what to do.

Try To Be Alone»
Being alone will help your mind clear off the
excessive and unwanted burden, that is adding stress to your life. Temper issues are also related to stress. Being alone doesn't mean you should stick to just yourself, being alone will give you time to have a rethink. Do you want to be known as a Hot
Tempered Person ? »

Sip Water Slowly When You Are Angry »
Although, there may not be a scientific research
backing up this point. But from personal experience, drinking water when upset, calms the mind. Just sip it slowly and don't say a thing to anybody.

Stay With That Person That Calms You Down »
Believe me or not, there is this someone in your life
whose presence calms your aggravated mind. Spend quality time with this person and share your
problems with him/her. There is a tendency that you will abide with the advice you get from that special person.

Eat Healthy »
Under rating this saying that 'a hungry man is an
angry man' should be avoided. When handling
temper issues, eat healthy foods and at the right
time. Also include fruits and vegetables to your food
table as it helps build you internally.

Try To Ignore »
Every one knows you as a hot tempered Human
because you always react bitterly to any word or
statement thrown at you. Ignoring some of this
statements especially when you sense, that they were said to aggravate you. Ignoring also build respect and you may end up finding those statements funny.

There is no sure ladder in handling temper
problems. It only requires commitment and time.
And soon, You will find annoying things hilarious.

Is Integrating Women Into National Politics A Mistake

In recent years. Precisely this President Jonathan administration that will elapse on May 29, seems to Integrate » women largely, into the country's politics.

Since Nigeria's political powers have been abused by men. One will think that the presence of women in politics will erode certain corrupt acts but from this points I'm about to state. I think the situation is even worsening with the women there.

Take Ngozi Okonjo Iweala » and our pretty lady Diezani Madueke » , the minister of Finance and minister of Petroleum respectively. How are they showing their accountability in the country's affairs? By being controversial?

also, the report of the Executive Secretary of the National Pension Commission (PenCom). Whose appointment as the secretary is expired, but she manipulated the system and got herself re-appointed as the Executive Secretary of the Organisation.

Another situation is that of Mrs Adefunke Sharon Kasali, the ...

Pardon me for not introducing myself but I will
like to know from you, why is the Nigerian
Police in this nature?

Me personally, doesn't let things bug me but
seeing the Nigerian Police in this Nature is quite
disturbing and not recommending.

Let's pretend to forget bribes they extract from
innocent people who happens to fall victims to
public issues.

Just recently, the transformer in my area in Abuja
got overloaded and gave up producing energy.
We were left with no option than fuelling the
generator if we are to have light.

Its been a week and each time I'm passing this
particular Police Station in my street during the
night, the place is totally dark but I do notice
figures moving around which I suspect to be
police men.

This went on for like a week so I decided to go ask
around to know if the Policemen do lock up the
place at night.

One evening, I strolled to a bar near the station
where I saw a guy who seems to know everything
that happens during the day. I forcefully engaged
him in a conversation which goes (Note: the
conversation was in Pidgin)
