*EDO STATE GOVERNMENT* versus *UNIBEN STUDENTS* Composed and presented by *THE STUDENTS UNION GOVERNMENT*, UNIVERSITY OF BENIN. *A CALL FOR JUSTICE* ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ In a society as vast and endowed like Nigeria, it is painful that we still struggle and agitate before we can get the dividends of democracy. A system of government by the people especially by the majority. A system of government were the Supreme power rest on the people. But what is the hope of the common man when the man with the mandate turns out to be the oppressor of the masses. WHAT HAVE UNIBEN STUDENTS DONE TO DESERVE THIS? It is indeed good to pay tax to any constituted authority but what is the way forward for university of Benin students when the much reverend tax and harmonised tax turns out to be an act of exploitation? On August 24th, 2017, the STUDENTS UNION GOVERNMENT had a meeting with the Deputy governor Rt hon Phillip Shaibu as regard the new harmonised levies and taxes pegged at 200 Naira daily which was expected to be paid to officials of Oredo local government council. The Deputy state governor declared publicly before pressmen and women that he will lead a protest along side the Students Union government should the shuttle bus drivers decide to increase their shuttle fare from Uniben to Ringroad and New benin as a result of the new levy(N200) which was N50 under the previous governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole. (See Vanguard newspaper, 25th August 2017 as proof of this claim). The Students Union government executives left the state house reaching an agreement with the state government that the only levy to be paid, is N200 to Oredo local government and not Akhugbe Ventures. To our surprise, the state government as at today, October 7th 2017, increased the levy to N800 disrespecting our initial agreement and Egor local government now charge N200, Ovia North East N200 making everything N1,200 from the University shuttle buses. WHAT KIND OF EXPLOITATION IS THIS? WHERE IS THE DIVIDEND OF DEMOCRACY? WHO IS ROBBING WHO? WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD FOR NIGERIA STUDENTS IN EDO STATE? This demonic levy made the University shuttle drivers to increase their fare from N50 to N70 today because they have families to feed. After putting a call across to the state governor, Godwin Obaseki, he told the Students Union government to go to hell that the University did not support his governorship ambition. JUST IMAGINE!!!!!! The students Union government as at this minute have exhaust all form of dialogue. We will not stand and watch our students suffer. Our civil servants parents have not been paid their salaries, pensioners now feed from hand to mouth and to make things worse, there have not been increase in the minimum wage and the government is increasing levies and they are not even concerned about the welfare and plight of the youths who they claim are the future leaders of Nigeria. In conclusion, the Students Union government, University of Benin call on UNIBEN STUDENTS, ACTIVISTS, COMRADES AND YOUTHS to be prepared for............ Since the state government have push us to the wall, it is now officially the EDO STATE GOVERNMENT versus UNIBEN STUDENTS. LET THE DANCE BEGIN. Our interest must be protected.. *EdoGovt_vs_UnibenStudents* #operation_aluta_dance_phase1 |

After buhari was announced as the winner of the presidential election, people started trekking for him (man trekked 4rm Lagos to Abuja). We thought they were insane; never knew they were being prophetic - they saw the future. Now everybody is trekking.....Whether you like it or not u must trek .....Now Nigeria is in the period of mass trekking for buhari. Well, all the same the children of Israel trekked from Egypt to the promise land.....It's now our turn; Nigerians are trekking to their promise land.... Tell your neighbour, say neighbour, I will 'trek' there before you. Things are hard now we are all paying for the negligence of our past leaders pdp but unfortunately many of them are now Apc that promised us change you can contribute to Nigeria progress by being a Good citizen, don't cheat others and don't take Bribe confess good things about the Nation God Bless Nigeria Nigeria shall be great |

How I have been surviving Fuel Scarcity and Lack of Electricity in Nigeria:
Go to Nearby Bank
Greet Everyone,
Plug Phone to Charge,
Plug Power Bank, Rechargeable Fan,
Drink Water from Dispenser,
Sit Enjoy AC, Watch Buhari on CNN,
Withdraw N1000
Thank the bank staff and return home.
Then the next day go and join queue to pay back the N1000 into your account.
don't stress yourself too much remember fuel scarcity last till may |

DIRTY MUSIC VIDEOS I am really not a TV-person, but anytime I put on the television, some of the music videos I get to see is really baffling that I literally weep. I have stopped listening to the artistes' lyrics, because most of them are utter rubbish! But the trend of dirty music videos around is appalling. What makes the videos dirty? I'll tell you. Most of these videos are nothing but 'painted' pornography! Painted in the sense that the naked girls in the videos put on revealing clothes and claim it is a sexy way of dressing. Why would they ever dress sexy? They do so just to appeal to the sexual senses of the public. The directors and/or artistes want the public to appreciate the videos and they do so by appealing to their sexual senses. Isn't that demonic? Some persons don't watch these music videos because they are worth viewing, but because of the practically naked girls that provide them sex-entertainment. This is absurd! I don't want to throw all the heaps of blame on the artistes and directors, the girls that allow themselves to be used so cheaply deserve some blame too. All for the love of money, they turn into pornographic stars in music videos, and claim they are models. I believe they are models because they are sex-models. I sound so crude, but the music videos are more crude. Children watch these videos every now and then, and you expect them to remain the same? That can't be! They will end up desiring what they see on TV. They see bosoms on TV, they would also want to see it in real life. We just do not care about this. I hardly see music videos in TV that are not provocative. You should have the same experience as I do, except maybe you don't want to come in terms with the truth. It's annoying still that most persons who say these music videos are dirty still comfortably enjoy them. Even some claimed minister of the Gospel enjoy such videos too. Hypocrisy never helps! What kind of music videos do you have on your PC, and phone? If you believe nothing is wrong with such videos, then you need to re-think. We enjoy music videos we well know Jesus would never had watched. Why? We just cannot control our sex-appeal. This is not supposed to be so. If we are for the truth, we should stand for it. If we keep patronizing these dirty music videos, they will keep flooding our screens. We should take a decisive stand against it. We should! These dirty music video must pack their bags and go! " so come away from those people and seperate yourselves from them, says the Lord. Dont touch anything that is not clean and i will accept you. 2cor 6:17 HAPPY SUNDAY!!!!! |
