Jobs/VacanciesRe: Hp Energy Graduate Recruitment Via Gse Scores? True Or False? by lekush(m): 9:09am On Aug 11, 2008
HP Energy is real. The office is at Oyin Jolayemi Victoria Island, Lagos. HP energy is a downstream oil and gas company. They also have a branch office in the UK.

Did that help?

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Shell,other Oil Companies And Their Wayo by lekush(m): 8:44am On Jun 25, 2008
Your tone is like that of one who wasn't invited for a party and decided that the party should not hold or worse still attack the conveners of the party. Shell is not discriminatory when it comes to recruiting talent as they know the importance of such individuals to the growth of their organisations. Rather than call for militants to continue that dastardly acts(all in the name of freedom fighting ). I honestly empathize with my brothers in the Niger Delta but violence is certainly not the way to go.

I stongly support you.

Hi everybody,

I was once a victim of this same thing. A particular advert was in Guardian and i went to the office at Ikeja to see them. It was a small ''shop'' with a land line and a lot of us were told to pay into an account which we did but at the end of the day, it was a fraudulent job advert. The fact that you see advert in the dailies does not mean it is genuine. Come to think of it, if you go to Guardian and pay the required amount to do the same advert, are you not going to be allowedhuh

MULTINATIONAL WILL NEVER EVER ASK YOU TO BRING MONEY FOR RECRUITEMENT NEITHER WILL ANY MULTINATIONAL USE ANY RECRUITING AGENCY THAT COLLECT MONEY

Please beware!!!
FashionRe: My Boyfriend Will Rather Lose Me Than Lose His Hair! by lekush(m): 4:28pm On Jun 04, 2008
Getting a job with long hairhuh

Who says you can not get a job with long hair? Try multinationals especially in the Oil & Gas industry where you can even have tatoos with wide surface area exposed at work place. All managements wants to know is Can you do the job well.

I know some people that went for training in Milan from Agip. Most of the trainees bought laptops, books and the rest but one of the guys bought clothings and later did jerry curls with ear rings on getting back. Will you believe that the white men like the guy with jerry curl more than those that bought books and laptops. So what are we talking about?

I am very sure most multinationals will employ him if he truly knows what he is doing

The only problem with him is loosing her before loosing the hair, i see that as being childish
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Distribution Of C.Vs (curriculum Vitae) And Resumes To Unknown People by lekush(m): 8:22am On May 22, 2008
Hi,

Sometimes you might just be furtunate. Recently i had to help HR in my organization source for CVs which was later handed over to the department and i had to use a funny e-mail to get the CVs on Nairaland. The e-mail does not reflect my name just because i did not want to disclose my identity.

You just might be lucky. However, some people play pranks and you need to be careful!!!

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Graduate Trainee Positions In An Oil & Gas Industry by lekush(op): 7:56am On May 14, 2008
8inchplus,

What you should understand is that not all employers will want to disclose their identity and for those who wants to have details about the opening, it is a multinational Oil & Gas company in the upstream sector.

I am very sure some of the people that responded to this post will soon let you know that they have been called for test and interview before the end of this month.

Time will tell!

Car TalkRe: Motor Accidents You've Watched Or Experienced? by lekush(m): 10:50am On Apr 30, 2008
I experienced one yesterday. I was cruising in my Toyota Camry car about to climb Falomo bridge from Awolowo road in Ikoyi and one old woman carrying load on her head did not watch the road to check if it was free and ran into my car. Thank God for the ABS. The car came to a halt about 3 inches before the woman and everybody around already screamed to see a dead woman on the ground but thank God the woman was safe. I mmediately, i head a serious bang behind me. An okada man hit me real hard from the back and broke my bumper. The annoying thing was that the woman did not look back noticing that she did something wrong, just walked away.

Thank God i did not kill the woman!!!
Music/RadioRe: Why Do You Buy Pirated CDs? Is It Wrong? by lekush(m): 8:25am On Apr 08, 2008
The reason why i buy pirated CD's-

1)They are cheaper

2) I don't want to be labelled a MUGU for spending a fortune at MEGA PLAZA or HMV

3) I want to be surprised by the contents of the CD itself for example JAYZ's black album would have AWILO LOGOMBA as TRACK 2 and ORITS WILIKI as TRACK 3!

4) CELINE DIONS GREATEST HITS ONLY TO FIND SALAWA ABENI rapping and pouting like a retard!

5) A pharell beat would sound like a burst sorround sound system

Nice one!!!

Hi,

What you have to do is repair it. There is a software that is meant to be used for that, but you will not have all the full memory again. Some will have been lost due to the repairs.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Vacancies In Shell by lekush(m): 9:56am On Aug 22, 2007
My brother that complained about negligence of environmentalists in tha Oil & Gas industry, The environmental work has been combined in ewhat we call HSE (health safety and environment) but the environmental part is not well emphasised. You can build a career in the sector probably if you go for a certification course in Safety , which is not difficult. It just requires common sence and basic scientific knowledge which i am sure you have.

The environmental part is not well emphasised because in the industry (oil & gas), there is a huge amount of environmental pollution and if you are allowed to be involved in it, you will make the companies spend so much money combatting pollution.

Cheers.
CareerRe: What Should I Do Next In My Career? by lekush(m): 4:39pm On Apr 26, 2007
Planning is a very good department in the oil & gas industry. Your course of study is very useful in comparing what is planned and what is obtainable.
I work in an oil and gas industry and i am planning to break into project planning. you will have the opportunity to learn so many applications most of which have to do withg project management. It depends on you. If you think you like project management, then the planning role is very good for you. i am talking because i know people that are involved in planning in the field are really 'big boys'
Please let me know if you need more info and i will give you my no. and we will have a chat.
Cheers.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: One Mr.akin Of Fedex (ikoyi Lagos) Intercepted My Lng Letter by lekush(m): 3:20pm On Apr 16, 2007
I understand how painful it could be, but who told you LNG is the best Oil & Gas company on earth. What will be will be. By the time your time comes, which i believe is very near, you will forget one stupid Mr. Akin forgot your letter. Cheer up bros and do not forget to complain to HR LNG because they will have a record of applicants invited who did not turn up.

Cheers.
