Travel / Moving Out by Lens101: 11:58am On Mar 23, 2023
Thanks for reading and enraging this post.
I want to move out of Nigeria. I have been able to gather 3million Naira as at today. I can still struggle more to make it 4million ( I don’t think I can make it to 4.1 million). What’s funding me is almost at the last phase. I will be unemployed soon.

Here is my profile.
I have Bsc and msc in art related field
I’m learning software engineering by the side.
I don’t have people I can run to for some uplifting as regards funds to add to my 3 million to move out to some advance countries.

Kindly furnish me with advice and steps to take as well as countries I can consider.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Graduated 2016. It's 7 years already by Lens101: 2:27pm On Jan 27, 2022
FriendsAndFans:
Just like that, it's 7 years already! It's been rough! Very rough and tough but I give thanks to God. Life isn't always as we plan it... Life charts a different course of its own.
I have seen few folks doing ok with their wife (wives) and kids, I have seen folks who can barely stay afloat financially.

My eyes have seen a lot after NYSC. I have travelled far and wide with no roof just to attend interviews. At a point, I slept on the streets of Lagos job hunting and understood life the harsh way.

The last interview which I did and which got me this current job, I had to sleep on a bench in a market, and my bag was the pillow: because I got to the city around 11:52pm or so and my interview was the following morning. A City I knew no one in

An unknown folk in a known city earning sixty
It's a blessing

Op I was actually in a reading mode then I choose to login to contribute. I graduated 2016 too. At some point I regretted not doing sciences as undergraduate because most of my friend find it easy landing a job ( at all at all)
After nysc, I had to go to my grandpa house in to stay to think and strategize. I avoided going to my parent house because those guys can make you commit suicide with pressure lol.
I job hunt, attend interviews, Apllied for teaching too ( I hate that job, but man need to stay afloat) none was promising. Finally I got one ( an Insurance firm) there was a salary at the interview, resuming work I was told it’s commission based lol like really I need to walk in the sun selling insurance to people that believe they are always covered by the blood of Jesus lol. I was depressed and I moved on.
I got a security job here on Nairaland ( I did it well and my employer asked me at the first meeting if I’m up to the task. I smiled, deep down I know I want more from life than just to relegate to the back seat ( while on the job, The HR and some people working there really looked down on me ( I learnt when you are a security guard people see you as a low life) . I felt bad at time and keep telling myself I’m never going to quit the job till things work out)
I saved up and traveled to my university to get my transcript and do all necessary things. I started applying for opportunities I got selected in South Africa but they later reached out to me saying the space is fully booked that I should reapply for next intake. I almost quit the job because of their first congratulatory mail. I keep believing and pressing on.
Finally I landed a prestigious scholarship ( things changed, currently chilling with the big boys at the ministry of external relations ( outside Nigeria). Make 1m every 3month.
When I return to nigeria. I plan to visit those places i have hustled left and right.I thank God for the opportunity. I’m not special I just found grace. For those still looking to find their feet I know the pain. (don’t fold your hands, it’s okay not to have a plan. But have the right people around you. People that will call up and remind you not to forget you are a lion. It’s a long story just have to cut and cut lol.

Family / Re: Help My Husband Seems To Be Addicted To Prostitutes! by Lens101: 3:22pm On Jan 16, 2022
ChiomaCa:
Hello everyone, I'm in need of an advice, I got married to a man 5yrs+ ago. He relocated some months after marriage to Canada, I went to meet him 2 years after. And we had a baby 10months after my arrival. Immediately I arrived his place, I noticed he flirt alot onlline, Sex chats, Video sex chats, Visit porn sites, visit Prostitue Sites, and the rest. I caught him red-handed twice and he begged and pleaded not to do such again. I forgive him and I believe maybe because of the distance we had in two years.

We move on and I promise myself not to even go near his Laptop or mobile phone anymore.

I adhered to that for more than a year, which I'm still doing that till December 23 of 2021.

My daughter threw his I-watch inside water. Then I picked it up to drain for some minutes, after I drianed, I realised a message popped up , which Read " Do you enjoy me yesterday Do I book you for tomorrow again"

I was forced to check what's this. I saw hell. In short, he visited two different Prostitues in a hotel to book 30 minutes session with them for $160 and $220, I also saw other messages asking for Anal sex from these Escorts. I realised, he visited them 3rd, 1st 22nd of December. During these period, I was the one begging him for sex. He said he's not interested that he's Fixed with many activities and Shifts at work.

I was in the house hopping my husband as gone to work, not knowing he's doing something else within his short break and free time.

Immediately I saw this, I was devastated,I was mad at my self. We are very religious. Why all these for God sake, this is the 3rd time, what have I done to myself, have made a wrong choice?

I called his brother back in Nigeria and I inform and sent all what I saw to him, he called and talked to him, the next day, my husband came to me, apologize and promised not to do that again. I accept and forgive him.

Few days ago, I have been having this kind of feeling, I feel like I'm not beutiful because why will my husband prefer a Prostitue than me.

I hate myself, I think about it every minutes, whenever I see him, my mind keep breathing fast. I'm sad and I'm not happy, I don't know what to do.

I can't discuss with my parents, because they see my husband as the most religious person.

He doesn't talk much, keep friends nor drink.

I need advice dear mummy and daddy please is this a red light?

Some keep saying you forgive him easily blah blah blah.
At this point of catching him more than twice says a lot about how deep he is into it.
If I were you, I will won’t even think of talking about this new adventure of him to his people nor yours. It will worsen the situation.
Seat him down and have a heart to heart conversation. He should be able to tell you what’s wrong. There must be somethings you are no longer doing anymore. We all have fantasies ( I’m sure you know his before saying I do) for him to stop ( it’s not spiritual before you all started doing all of that. He will make the decision to stop as an adult) those prostitues must be younger than you. Spicy things up in your marriage. I wish I can say pray about it like most Nairalander without sense. Just seat his ass out and talk ( preferable on a date)

she is bilingual. Will have more points than you with msc . Use the crs calculator

Thank you for the head up. Did a rough calculation, using her as a primary applicant makes the score soar higher (around 470 at minimal on a bad day for average Tef and ielts score). This is just her writing only tef forgetting ielts for her. Thanks once again.

Your skilled work experience must be in the same type of job (have the same NOC) as the job you want to use for your immigration application (called your primary occupation)

• Must be within the last 10 years.
• Paid work (have been paid wages or earned commission. (volunteer work or unpaid internships don’t count)
• At least 1 year of continuous work or 1,560 hours total (30 hours per week)—you can meet this in a few different ways:
Part-time or full-time.

Read page one of this thread for more info.

Thanks I’m grateful

from this profile your wife will be the primary applicant, if she has work experience then its fine. Spouse work experience is not relevant for express entry unless it was gotten in Canada.

Thank you for your input. The only reason she can’t be primary applicant is because she only posses OND and bachelor degree. With her age, Don’t think it’s logical for her to start msc. ( aunty don’t want to do anything academics anymore) as for her work experience she is running her own business. We are both worried about “work experience”

Good evening good people. A very quick one, I’m currently doing my msc. I will like to know if there is anyway around work experience. All my work experience is more of hustle here and there and mostly the blue collar type. I know this japa needs work experience in certain fields. I need your views as regard work experience.
Pof is ready
Writing ielts soon
Wife is taking Tef soon (she is bilingual)
I’m almost done with my msc as well.
From the calculator we realized 473 point.

My major concern is the work experience.

Hello I only just now saw your post which was done over two weeks ago; quite late because you didn't hit my mention.. Have you left Nigeria already? Did you get a new passport.? As a student you should be able to get a two years residential permit for half the regular price.

Nigerians pay roughly 200 dollars for a two years permit. As a student it could cost you about 90 dollars. I will advice you get one as soon as you arrive. Cameroonians are required to be in possession of a national identity card at all times and by law the non possession of an ID card when required by an officer could land you six months in prison

Although Nigerians don't need a visa to visit Cameroon you are required a passport to enter which gets an entry stamp. That enables you to travel to your destination without the hassle of the police. I'm not saying you can't get through without a passport but be ready to pay bribes to never friendly money hungry police officers as you journey through. Mind you from the border to your destination you will encounter a thousand of them.

Where in Cameroon is your last destination. ? A scholarship to Cameroon.!! Cameroon donc turn into Obodoyibo oh. Lol If you have not already left there are several routes that will take you from Lagos to your final destination. If you not afraid of the waters you will have to get to Calabar and take a boat to the SW Region of Cameroon. There is also another route through Ikom that doesn't entail sailing. Let me know your position and will kick it from there.

Thank you l. I got my passport and I am currently in Cameroon yaounde. I will like to know the best way to send money to Nigeria. If you won’t mind I will love to have your contact.

IF YOU ARE NOT DRIVING IT YOURSELF “ DONT EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER VENTURE INTO TRANSPORTATION BUSINESS” there is money in it no doubt.

If you give it out for people to drive it for you within 6month you will so hate the idea of buying it in the first instance. DONT GET BURNT please!!!! Nigeria is hard already don’t give yourself extra headache.

If you are driving it yourself go ahead and buy it, you will make your money!!!

Travel / Re: Authenticity Of Documents At Ministry Of Foreign Affairs, Abuja by Lens101: 8:50am On Feb 22, 2020
Ope4Christ:

It depends on what purpose and country you are doing authentication for. But you need the following documents to be authenticated:

1. SSCE original, it is compulsory(plus N1200 WAEC card for verification).
2. BSc, MSc, PhD, ND, HND certificate.(any one that is applicable to you).
3. Eligibility letter, you will apply for it (N1000).

But if for the purpose of study, you will add:

4. Original transcript of records.
5. Three sets of photocopies of each document are required. If you are going to study abroad you will do additional sets of photocopies for admission because two from the three sets stated above are are going to be retained in the two ministries (MOE and MFA).

It is one step after the other. You will start with MOE (it takes 2 to 3 days depending on population) while MOF takes one day but you must be there by 9am. They close by 1pm and will not allow you in again. They don't do authentication on Fridays o.

Authentication cost N300 per page multiplied by the total number of pages you want to do. Plus some extra charges for application form (N450), remitars - for individual payments at the two ministries etc.

You can add Voters Card or Drivers Licence to your NIMC print out for identification. But if you don't have any of them you better wait for your passport to be out because they will send you back to your destination.

Best wishes.

Thank you. I don’t have either of those cards. Only have NiN slip. I misplaced my old international passport which I have the front page of it. That more of the reason why I don’t have my new passport ready. Can I go along with the printed page of the old passport and my NiN slip ? Also I don’t have destination yet for my MSc. I’m just free and not occupied at the moment to run those ministry of education and ministry of ministry thing because by the time I will have to choose destination I might not chances to travel down to Abuja and if I do it will be just a day thing and travel back.

Good morning, I’m not the always travelling kind of person(Lagos to Abuja aren’t child play for me). please I intend to travel to Ministry of foreign affairs and ministry of education before next week runs out. My questions are
1. Can I go with my Nin slip since I don’t have my international passport ready yet?
2. Is there a specific background for my passport photograph?
3. I intend to take along with me all document that might need moe and mof authentification including those I might need and those I might not really need to save time and unnecessary travelling to Abuja again for same purpose.Document such as my weac certificate(I might not need in any application), bachelor degree certificate, transcript (student copy). I’m applying for eligibility letter too (this I might not need). Which other document do you think I should take Along too just Incase? If police certificate doesn’t expire I might apply for it and then take it along to moe and mof to authenticate. While helping out with document I might not really need for now and those that you think are important please bear in mind I’m not married. This will help to put some checks on some documents you might want to make suggestion about. I hope to read from you all. Thank you as you make contributions on this matter.

Don’t let anyone whine you. Poland is a cool place to live, I came here in September and so far it’s great. The people are friendly, at least you’re not worried about racism, feeding isn’t too expensive, only expensive thing here is rent. You can stay in school dorm if you need an affordable accommodation. Transportation you can pay for the bus/tram per ride or get a card which you’ll use for the year.

There are jobs, you can either work in factories or IT firms. They need people that speak English, French, German etc.

I’m in Łódź sha, if you Dey Lodz holla at me. Gracias
