The US on the other side killed 300k civilians in Iraq in less than 2 months. They started attacking civilian infrastructure from day one of the war.

So statistically, the Russia care about civilians more than the US. The difference is that the West are using the media against Russia.

Well, the Taliban took their country back conventionally. They started by seizing territories outside the capital till they get to the capital. They actually engaged the US & Afghan forces. They were not hiding in the mountain and coming out to attack and go back into hidding-Guerila warfare. They regrouped, came out in large numbers and started seizing cities.

When they got to the capital, they successfully push the US and Afghan troops to the Afghan airport.

Russian style in Syria is destroy the enemy totally. If not for US and Turkish military bases. Russia and Syrian forces would have retaken the entire Syrian territory. The tactic was attack a major city. Surround the city and destroy the enemy totally.

The US was just forcing Taliban to leave cities when they invaded Afghanistan. They were using their heavy equipments (air and ground) to push the Taliban out of cities and not destroy them. They were wary of having heavy casualties. You don't push die hard militant group out of a city and you expect them not to come back. They were supposed to destroy them. Chasing the enemy out of cities will give you a quick victory. But it will become a problem in the future. Because they will always come back. Destroying them takes time, but it will permanently solve them problem. People hail the US troops when they quickly seize territories. But it has alway been the worst tactics ever. So the US failed woefully. There is not excuse.

North Korea has vowed to respond with “overwhelming” force should the US military attempt to intercept missiles fired during test launches. The warning came hours after Washington and Seoul carried out their latest round of air drills in the region, which involved at least one nuclear-capable bomber.

In a statement on Tuesday, Kim Yo-jong – the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and a senior figure in the ruling Workers’ Party – responded to a recent press report citing a high ranking US military official, who said the Pentagon would immediately intercept any long-range missile fired into the Pacific by the DPRK.

“If a military response such as an interception follows our strategic weapons test, which is conducted without any harm to the safety of neighboring countries in the high seas and airspace not under the jurisdiction of the United States, this will undoubtedly be regarded as a clear declaration of war,” she said in comments carried by the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

She added that the North would be closely watching all military movements by the US and the “South Korean puppet army,” declaring Pyongyang is prepared to respond with [/b]“striking, swift and overwhelming action at any time.”

The rebuke came on the heels of joint air drills carried out by the US and South Korea on Monday, in which at least one nuclear-capable B-52H strategic bomber flew alongside South Korean warplanes as a show of force against the DPRK. Similar exercises were also launched last Friday, including a US B-1B bomber, while yet another drill will be held next week to simulate a response to a North Korean missile attack.

Washington and Seoul chose to stage the drills despite repeated objections from Pyongyang, which has denounced such exercises as preparations for an attack, also warning they may lead to “unprecedentedly persistent and strong counteractions.”

Over the weekend, North Korea appealed to the United Nations to stop the drills altogether, calling on the international community to “strongly urge the US and South Korea to immediately halt their provocative remarks and joint military exercises.” Kim Son-gyong, a top Foreign Ministry official, lamented that the global body has never condemned the war games despite their “clear aggressive nature,” going on to accuse Washington and Seoul of “irresponsibly raising the level of confrontation” in the region.

Kindly point out where I said the US running out of weapon. I said the West. It is not only the US that the supporting Ukraine. NATO countries and UK are also taking part.

I guess you put China ahead of Russia. May be in the future the Chinese will take the 2nd position. But currently Russia still occupy the 2nd position. The Chinese are yet to perfect making home made engine for fighter jet. They still rely on the weak Russia for jet engines. It was who help China to build it early warning system. The best defense systems in China today is S-400. Most of Chinese J-20 still run on Russia engines.Best helicopter gunship in China today is Ka-52. China is catching up fast and it will get there. But it is not there yet.

Military strength is judge not by war you fought. But based on your capability. The US failed to destroy Taliban in Afghanistan. But that doesn't mean the US is not great militarily.

America entered the war and during the bombardment of Omaha beach and Normandy to gain access into Europe terrified German soldiers wrote that the kind of weapons Americans came with was something they never imagined in their existence would exist in the next 1000 years; then coupled with total destruction of Japanese biggest cities then of Hiroshima and Nagasaki which made emperor Hirohito to admit that after his god it’s Americans. They even came with thousands of fighter jets and bombers than turned German military bases into tornados of fire and armored tankers that run on water and were detonating explosives at the beach. The battle lasted 48 hours and the lightening from the constant bombardments made the night look like broad daylight.It was rumored the shock drove hitler to go and commit suicide.
