Especially that Gionee Elife E6. That phone was a HUGE disappointment with an inadequate 2020mAh battery powering a power-hungry full HD 1080p 5'' screen & no expandable storage. Out of the 3 reviews i read of the phone, 2 mentioned that the phone lags out of the box due either to the frugal (but relatively weak) mediatek processor or the heavy amigo skin/launcher on the phone, & someone here (Brainrex) who bought the phone also confirmed that it truly lags.

Guy u get personal beef with mediatek?? Though most of their chipset are not very powerful but @least they get the jop of powering android done with relative ease, so not all mediatek chips are bullshit or crap.

u don't know what u are saying @ all. The Iphone 5s uses a dual core 1.3ghz ARMv8 64 bits based processor & uses the relatively light iOS7 & it practically flies while handling both basic & advanced tasks with no hint of any lag whatsoever. Though the samsung galaxy S4 runs on a quadcore snapdragon 600 & an octacore exynos processor (the international version) & its snippy fast too with both basic & heavy tasks, samsung's touchwiz ux interface is somewhat heavy & notorious for its scroll lag(though it's not very noticeable). So yes the iphone 5s runs kinda smoother than the Samsung galaxy S4.
